At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Oh, Valide Sultan somehow show her care too for Hurrem in this situation.
People really overlook the fact how protective and comforting the Valide Sultan was of Hürrem so long Hürrem didn't have her crazy outbursts and attitude
Exactly, Hafsa was never unfair to her, she wanted to have peace from the beginning, even though Hurrem was mad at first and she was yelling, later Hafsa was smiling to her when Hurrem danced for her but Hurrem got mad and provoked again so she also lost Hafsa's trust

There is a scene when mahideveran is trying to get Sulieman to go let her live away with mustafa and kicks up a fuss when he says no. He then says to her "ok I will surely send you off but you can not take my Mustafa as he belongs here, near me" 😊
Ok. How did Gulihan not know who Leo was??
I think in the first episode while her and Hurrem where on a ship going to the palace. Hurrem had mentioned what happened to her family while being kidnapped, so she might also said he was killed too. After Hurrem found out Leo was alive, but feared what would happen to him if anyone found out. Hurrem wouldn't dare tell anyone especially Gulihan, so Gulihan thinks Leo probably was killed.
I don't think they were from the same village and she may not have been told or they kept silent for fear of the h3ll it could have caused.
It's been a VERY long time since I watched the first few episodes so I may not have that right.
Maria was not in the church during the raid, so she was probably taken from.a different village. She probably heard about "a dead fiance" from Alexandra at the start (maybe), but never met him.
Mahidevran did that everyone knows what gulsah did.
