At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

That's the worst thing that Ibrahim did in the entire series. It sealed his fate because he really made Hurrem his enemy.
Everyone is talking about Hurrem now, but I'm the only one who feels sorry for Leo, an honest, kind and handsome guy❤

The fact that Ibrahim gets seen as Hürrem's victim in the show in spite of this is the height of misogyny. The man was pure evil with very few if any redeeming qualities or actions.
Tbh I can 100% blame Leo for this though. He's had more than enough chances to keep his distance, move away, continue to live, but naively thought he could actually get his old fiance back even though she's with a new man, who she's given 3 (soon to be 4) kids to.

@@hurremsultannss He didn't deserve it sure, but it was still his fault nonetheless. Much like how someone can stick their hand into a raging fire and get burnt in the process, they didn't deserve it but their actions caused it.

@@hurremsultannss Metaphorically, the fire is both Ibrahim and Suleiman in this case, Hürrem was behind that fire, Leo made a willing choice to stick his hand into it and burnt.
She never forgave Ibrahim for this. He kept reaching too far towards his downfall.
There is something genuinely fundamentally wrong with Ibrahim for him to do this. Especially considering that at no point does he ever feel bad about doing something so heinous.
He begins to be corrupted and greedy after becoming grand vizier.
Leo was not her lover they were former fiances and Leo understod the danger she was in and willingly sacrefied himself to save her and yes he knew she did not love him but did care for him as a friend,Ibrahim was deliberate and quite evil here
People keep blaming Hurrem for her actions throughout the show but they don’t see how she was bullied. Mistreated by Ibrahim, Mahidevran and Sultan’s mother for years.
English must be your second language. He wasn't her lover, he was her love. A lover means that they slept together. Just because of what Imbhim did to Leo, Pasha deserved to die.

If you've seen the full clips/episodes involving Leo. The entire situation was basically largely his own fault by him refusing to leave and having delusions of being able to have Hürrem back.

Not only was this evil of Ibrahim to do, it was also monumentally stupid. He could've used Leo's existence to falsely accuse Hurrem and get her and her kids executed. But he decided that being a sadistic monster was more important than eliminating his enemy.

Hurrem did not poisoned Leo. Leo took it himself. The only one to blame is Ibrahim
Let's not forget too that Hürrem's actually pregnant here! She literally calls him out later for forcing her to stain her hands with innocent blood and she's not wrong at all.

I feel like trying to exile Hürrem would've raised too many questions, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have sent Leo off and then utilized the blackmail accumulated from the situation against her. This is such an over the top cruel way to try to prove to Hürrem that she's powerless.

Also 2xs thru the series, Ibrahim and Hatice sent a woman to Suliman who wanted to kill him. Having brought Victoria in the harrem should have earned Ibrhim the silk noose
I just don't get this scene. Why not tell Sultan Suleyman about these two having a past, rather than giving this random death choice? Suleyman's suspicions could eventually lead to the possibility of an execution. Instead, the suspect is dead now, and Hurrem deals with the situation. Also, why does Hurrem accept this from the get go? It's not like Ibrahim can prove their "secret meetings" (there were none almost). It's his words against hers. The notes could be written by anyone. The one concubine (Sadika) who knows about it, never uses it. Not seeking much logic from a drama, but it could've been more interesting and less confusing.

Look I'm not a great hurrem fan by any means. But this is just not true. Hurrem committed no sins with Leo. She had a past like all the slaves of the ottoman Empire who were forcefully abducted. Leo's death is Ibrahim's fault, he left Hurrem and Leo with no other choice, just for Ibrahim's own sadistic pleasure. Hurrem and Leo did not deserve to be put through this hellish situation.
