It' better to put s sarcophagus in a freezer tan a shelf. If you have carnivore , they may decided to eat the body instead. Animal won't touch body in grave and sarcophagi. Plus if your builder have good skill it can be an art that improve beauty and it can be used as psy object for meditation for some colonist.

Here's a tip on your tip number 7. Having a stockpile with vegetables and then another for meat, not meals. However, if you still want meals to be counted I would put a stockpile nearby, but I would make them drop on the floor not haul to stockpile. However, this could lead to problems because the pawns can sometimes fill the stockpile of vegetables and/or meats with meals. Having a dedicated hauler would help reduce this problem, but if you really don't want them to drop it in the vegetable and meat stockplies, then you can have the chef haul to stockpile.

make two stockpiles next to the electric stove, one left and one right(one for meat and one for vegetables), make both of them two long to the back and construct stools on them. Then set the recipe for the meals to ddrop on floor. This will allow your cook to never have to move instead of having to walk one or two tiles for picking up stuff. This helped me alot.

I have my meat and vegetable stockpiles in the freezer set to normal priority. I have two fridges in the cooking station room, one for meat and one for vegetables that are set to important priority. The Mass small animals vs few large animals seems like it only takes into account their numbers advantage. Sure you can breed more in short order but my concern is their upkeep. Never really checked the food usage on small animals but how doesn't their food consumption compare. Also you need to tame the animals to fight and keep taming them or else their training decays and they can no longer do that activity.
I found when I start to end up with a large number of animals that less gets done around my colony as my tamers spend most of their time keeping up the training and sometimes I get animals that go wild because their taming has decayed so much due to pawns not having the time to get to them all.
I prefer Large animals because I use them as bullet sponges as they can take a lot of hits and tend to die less often. Also I put them an caravans to haul large amounts of materials around for trade.
One tip I found for managing large numbers of animals is after you tame them fully put them in a caravan as their taming never goes up or down. Plus if they are herbivores they don't need food brought along. Animals in Caravan do still breed though so you can setup a large animal breeding camp with low maintenance as just need 1-2 pawns in caravan which are stocked up with food that doesn't spoil, or has long spoil time such as raw corn, or have high enough plant skill that they live off the land with unlimited food.
This is my go to strategy as I can sit a caravan with over a hundred large animals just outside of town so they don't add to the colony wealth and don't waste pawn time with upkeep. And if they get attacked they easily dispatch the attackers, imagine a pack of 100 animals that are a mix of Rinos and Elephants stampeding down on a dozen raiders. ;) Plus I can always bring the group back into the colony if I want to pickup supplies to go on a trade run or to help in defense from a mortar siege.

The best damage is fire damage, second best is blunt damage the third is gun and cut, fire weapon deal burn and they can catch fire, pawn will running around attempting to put fire out for a while allowing you to subdue them they will stop fighting or shooting so basically longer stun period, blunt can cause stun damage and actually better to fight higher tech raider what uses power armor for example, uranium club or mace is the best melee, provide the pawn have good knowledge on how to use it.
Not fancy weapon that caused your wealth to be bloated uncontrollably and it is offering very wide versatility it can deal with armored or unarmored target and still viable even in end game.

Blades are better than blunt against low tech opponents like tribals, though: a lot more likely to remove limbs! Better "disarm" than stun. Also, more dps against low armour.
That said, only if you don't want to capture them alive an unmaimed, because if you do then go blunt all the way.
Some of the fancy melee weapons are nice, too, the zeushammer routinely stunlocks mechanoids and the plasmasword sets people on fire.

This is no longer the case. Single-use of hard drugs now has a nonzero chance to grant addiction.
However, they can still be extremely useful in a pinch by serving as instant cooperation fuel. If a colonist is about to have a mental break at an inopportune time such as during a raid, you can give them a massive temporary mood buff and gain their immediate cooperation.

    Counterarguments to #1:
For one, consider splash damage. In almost all battles but the most bottom-of-the-barrel ones you'll have to go up against enemies carrying high explosive or incendiary weaponry that would easily inflict massive casualties to a swarm of small critters. Even molotovs, frag grenades or a single centipede with an inferno cannon could neuter them. (Or you'll just face down enough tribals to outnumber your critters, that's bad, too.)
For two, food. This can arguably be offset with a good pick but you _gotta_ get grazing animals if at all possible or a swarm will eat you into poverty. The difference between the food requirements of most animals isn't as much as one would logically expect and it seems to be only related to body size in a very wonky manner at best - for example, one grizzly bear needs less food than either one boar or two rats put together.
At the end of the day, you're probably better off taming something big and use them as meat shields or some boomrats/boomalopes and use them suicide bombers. Although, admittedly, boars are a good early play!

At first you weren’t impressing me with the many v one, cause I’m thinking combat is fairly simple.
Then you point out freezers prevent rotting and I’m questing how this is occurring to me 1400 hours in to this game. 10/10

If a highly skilled colonist dies on you but the bodies mostly in tact. Put them in a sarcophagus in your freezer. So you can revive the later without having unburied colonist mood buff. Or at least put them on a shelf in the freezer because colonist cant see bodies on shelfs

How to keep your animals out of your hospitals and kitchens: Go to orders. Zones or areas or whatever. Expand allowed area. Click to make a new area (Name it animals or something) and SELECT THE AREAS YOU WANT THEM TO STAY OUT OF. Then click to edit the area you just made, and select, "Invert area."
Inverting the area will flip it around. The areas you selected will become the only UNSELECTED zones, and the rest of the map that you did NOT select will become selected. It's now done. Anyone assigned to this area instead of, "Home," will now stay out of the restricted areas.
