Your video is awesome! You explained everything so well. I ordered the replacement pump from Amazon and installed it after I got home from work today. My dishwasher is up and running like a top! Thank you!
I working on a GE GSD4060d35ss It wont drain water, so I found lots of stuff in the pump. And the small repeller broke, so I order an OEM GE. Installed it, same problem. I am the pump works, and the valve open. I can see the shaft moving fast, but water won’t drain. A min later it shut off. I see you repair lots of dishwasher machine, so I need your advice. Thanks
I just found out when I removed the screen to check for clogged. Off course, there were lots of debris in them. But, there was an orange ball at the bottom of that screen. I thought, it’s belong to one of my kids toy. Lucky, I didn’t throw it away. I couldn’t remember it either until, it took me about 5 hrs just to figure it out. It’s an experiment and experience challenging job when trying to do it without any help. Now, it’s done! Thanks.
i encounter the same problem today is there any other suggestions to check to unclog the dishwasher the Property i work at all is GE but different modals
Make sure the strainer basket is clean, dishwasher hose is clear, air gap clear (if applicable), drain clear. I know some models have a float switch? that causes issues but I haven't personally dealt with those just read about them
Check to make sure the plug is knocked out of the garbage disposal if you replaced it 🎉 This whole time the garbage disposal still had the plug in it from the store.
No. Always ensure your model matches the part - Amazon is ok at this in the descriptions usually but sites like ApplianceParts and Marcone are a little bit better. Use them all to narrow down the part number you need and then choose the best option for you (eg delivery speed, price, etc.)
Disassemble: “White on top, red on bottom”
Reassemble: red on top, white on bottom
Good info though. Thanks for your help with mine
Damn good eye Travis!
I saw the same thing… apparently it didn’t matter though

Possible clogged dishwasher drain hose, if hooked up to a disposal, check the knock out

@@ApartmentMaintenancePro thank you 👊🏾
My GE profile lasted 30years until it began recently leaking on inside left side. I’m trying to fix it. Any ideas?
Ya lots, drain hose, recirc hose, seal, cracked pump
Check to make sure the plug is knocked out of the garbage disposal if you replaced it 🎉
This whole time the garbage disposal still had the plug in it from the store.
Great info😊
Thank you !

Slingblade does dishwashers.
The sound of stripping screws is nails on a chalkboard.

Mine pumps. But it doesn't empty at the end of the cycle. GE. Common?
No. Is it hooked to a garbage disposal?
That’s what mine is doing too
And it is hooked up to a garbage disposal. But my disposal is working fine. I’m about to check the hoses.
@@laurenschluter2575 what did find?
what if the leak is not from the drain pump instead it's from the side of the door
check if the seal is worn
Is he profile similar
😁👍
👍
But is the water standing? 😂😂😂😂
removeal white on top red on bottom replacement red on top white on bottom???????
Ya, good catch. 120v motors that don’t require a start device it doesn’t matter if you reverse the hot / neutral
So, at 6:17 you say, "White on top. Red on bottom". Yet, at 6:45 you are clearly putting the Red on top and White on the bottom.
