Brilliant. 3rd person perspective is an incredibly powerful tool to see the bigger picture.

As a gamer my self.i like strategy games so much that I actually use it in my life. Not fighting or battling but using it in my studies.

In roller coaster tycon I was even more brutal as a kit :D I was placing all customers on tiny block with no escape, and only one thing they could do was buy way overpriced ticked to most boring ride ever, and go back to that spot they started :D I was so rich in no time.

We agree very much here at Night Zookeeper! Our game is a kids' drawing game where they use their creativity and imagination to dream of the animals in the story (a magical night zoo). So they're encouraged to actively interact with digital media, as opposed to simply consuming :)

How can learning games help us think outside the box? Life lesson #1: Drive on the Ocean, says Dr. Karl Kapp in his TEDx Talk. Are the constraints on our thinking our own or are we constrained by the environment around us? Learning games, says Kapp, let us think-through these constraints and get outside of what is conventional to think innovative, unconventional thoughts.
*Karl encourages us all to "Drive on the Ocean" and "Think the Impossible"!

Great talk! From my experience video games is a great vehicle to connect with other people, and my mission is to inspire gamers and people using life lessons and metaphors from video games; blending it with motivation and practical psychology. I am open to meet like-minded people for collaboration!

I’ve met so many people from around the world gaming online it’s actually really cool. My gf pointed out to me a few months ago that I had over 1000 followers on my PlayStation account (I had never noticed) and when she asked why all these people follow my gaming I just showed her my friends list and I had a personal connection story at some time on some game with almost every name :)

Comments with Ted Talks are way too positive. Don't we recognize the downside? Isn't it responsible to point out where things can go awry? Drowning customers was a good example, but he didn't go far enough. He glazed over the problems that come with indoctrination. I recommend using the word, indoctrination, wherever it crops up.

the downsides are talked often enough in the media as he states. Video games bring more to the table than they take. The kids were just trying to solve a problem by drowning the customers. It didnt work and they learned to not drown the customers; the kids adapted, and learned.

There’s downsides to too much of literally anything. Pointing out the positives allows us to use things in an appropriate manner

He will karma farm insanely well with his pro-video game attitude. He forgets a moment that video games make kids violent. 100 percent of all school shooters played violent videogames. If you agree with illegalizing guns, you agree with illegalizing games!

I’ve played games all my life and never has it even occurred to me to cause harm to anyone. A video game’s purpose is to entertain and to cause enjoyment. What other purpose does a gun serve other than to harm or kill? last time I heard those shooters you speak of didn’t use a nintendo zapper to commit their crimes...

Correlation does not equal causation if you knew anything about stats or science you would know this
