I will say that FOR ME, I can’t listen to them for an extended period because IN MY OPINION, it all does start to sound the same BUT I do like most of their stuff. Especially the regular video to this. It’s freaking genius and a lot of fun. I have never understood the hate either because the folks putting them down haven’t done a third with their lives or hasn’t had success like what Nickleback has had. It makes no sense to me. Work at something half as hard as they do and let’s see where they get. So I say then go plant your ass on your couch and shut the hell up lol.

They have some really great songs like When We Stand Together, Savin’ Me, If Today Was Your Last Day, and If Everyone Cared.

For those of you who haven't heard it Steve O said one of the best nights he had was when he did coke with Kid Rock. Apparently Kid Rock walked up to a table Steve O was sitting on and put a shopping bag full of coke on the table. Steve O said they sat there all night and into the morning chipping away at it until Steve O couldn't do anymore, then he stood up and walked away. 👃😁

Nickleback is one of the few bands that I like that reside within the last 25 years. Hate is unjustified. Their first couple of albums are killer good.
The name came from Chad’s brother Mike (bassist) who in their early days worked at Starbucks. There was a popular coffee drink back then that was under $5, which had Mike saying “here’s your nickel back” about a 1000 times a day…
With the official video they have several celebrities making cameos and part of the fun is to see how many you can name.
As a Canuck I am very proud to say Nickelback is Canadian. Great rock band. Justin Bieber deserves the "hate" he gets, Nickelback does not!

I love the original video of this song, the mix of regular people and celebrity cameos is awesome.
Nickelback -the band people love to hate, even though they secretly love them. The original version of this is much harder, but the lyrics are still hilarious and biting at the same time. Nobody has good things to say about the music industry! Aaron Lewis (rock guy turned country guy) shows the flip side of this story in "Country Boy" - and it features cameos by George Jones and Charlie Daniels.
The music video for this is my ALL TIME favorite.

I unapologetically love Nickelback
Nickleback take so much unjust flack.... Their Silver Side U album takes me back to a time when I was doing my entry qualification to get into university, so they always take me back to a really enjoyable time. They produced some really good songs from the album such as 'never again' which deals with domestic abuse. Nickleback are a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll.
Anybody who gives Nickleback flack is just scared of liking music the general public likes and most likely never listened to "Side of a Bullet". Dimebag Darrell just may be my favorite guitarist and these guys did an amazing tribute to him.

If you liked this you should also react to Hero from Nickleback and Josey Scott, it was written for the first Spider-Man movie from 2002. The song was iconic with the movie and is an anthem that just makes you want to get up and move.
As a musician myself, I enjoy acoustic versions because it allows for people to hear the raw music and vocals(pain and emotions etc) through the music. 99.9% of pro artists, write everything on acoustic tracks and then translate it to electric to make it work.
Shinedown acoustic in the studio is pretty amazing to hear in my opinion. Please check smith and Myers music

I used to sing this with my youngest son when I could take him to school. Being chased by the paparazzi and fans isn’t new look at old videos of the Beetles and The Rolling Stones. The Stones had the Hells Angels for protection which went bad
The percussion instrument is called a "cajon" i play drums. They just got popular a few years ago. Ive been drumming for 25 years.

Nickelback does get a lot of flack even though they have fun songs like Rock Star to heartfelt songs like Photograph. They also have a few raunchy songs which are some of my favorites.

The came up with the name because one of them worked in a coffee shop. The coffee was $1.95, so when a customer would give them $2.00 he would reply “here’s your nickel back”. And that just stuck in his head

For some reason there are people who are hating on Nickelback, but I have always loved their music, and if it's alright with Billy Gibbons, it's alright with me! You missed my favorite lines when you got distracted by the Pez dispenser bit: “'ll get washed-up singers writing all my songs; Lip sync 'em every night, so I don't get 'em wrong”. Lots of stories of performers lip-syncing lyrics and things going awful as a result.

the regular version is more rockin roll sounding. One of the band worked in a Coffee shop and coffee with tax was .95 cents, he was always saying to customers, do you want your nickle back? So, the band choose that name.
For certain songs. ( for me all) The official video makes it always just better. I also much prefer reactors watching the official vids.
This song and "Side of a bullet" (which doesn't get reviewed) where the video would be important for first timers. Every other song they have...unplugged or live is often better than their videos. Nice review either way and a lot less headaches with copyrights

Another good one is " savin me" it has to be done to the official video, and not to any Live airing. Because it has a hidden meaning/message to it.
Nickelback was getting a lot of crap for being seen as corny, but they' were always great and his voice in particular has held up fantastically. "Someday" is ofc the big smash hit, "Photograph" the meme song 🤣

HEY, just joined your group of music followers and thought this was great. Nickelback is from a town about 3hrs from where I live called Hanna, Alberta Canada. They are a hard working band and have been at this a long time. You should next see the video for the song Photograph. This will make you smile for sure and bring back memories. Peace and blessings.
The best part about the original video (besides the audio) is all the celebrities AND street folk singing "I wanna be a rock star!" LoL (and Billy Gibbons of course)
