    My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in US.

      Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumors and here says, got the best of me 2020 and had me holding worthless position in the market, I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of an advisor, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio, been using the same advisor and I’ve scaled up 750k within 2 years, whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.

      Having a counselor is essential for portfolio diversification. My advisor is "Jenny Pamogas Canaya. who is easily searchable and has extensive knowledge of the financial markets......

    I found my purpose by looking at what I did when I was 11: I made videos, I played music (piano and drums), and I wrote fantasy books. So, these 3 things are what I've dedicated my life to. But the problem is finances. So I'm working towards financial stability with music first, so that I can unlock time freedom to hone my crafts and create excellent work.

    Finding others and places that amplify our true selves is key. It can take a lot of time to recognize, but your true self will let you know when something feels correct or a part of you. Just remember to try not overthinking things and to trust your intuition.

    • @steveantonioni
      @steveantonioni  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree. It's a skill to learn how to listen to your intuition. Most dismiss it as "woo" but intuition is thousands of years of ancestral "muscle memory". Mine has served me well.

    I started following your channel shortly after Matti mentioned you in a video and I’ve really enjoyed the transformation of your channel. As many mentioned already it feels very fresh and liberating to hear someone in the realm of financial independence and self actualisation talking about these deeper topics.
    As a parent I would just like to add one thing to your discussion on not living through others expectations but finding who you really are.
    In my view we all carry within us historical notions and ideas about who we need to be and how we need to act in order to be accepted and loved by our family, our friends, our community, our tribe if you will. Abandoning all this and going in another direction feels innately wrong since we run the risk of loosing our connection and bond to the people closest to us, most of all our family. This puts us in touch with the primordial fear we all carry of being excluded from the group.
    What we as parents need to do is help set our children free by being extremely aware of when we are trying (with the best of heart) to live out our lives through them. In my early 20s I started to reconsider my whole career choice in the middle of a very expensive education. I cannot begin to underestimate what it meant to have a supportive family who In a way gave me the ‘permission’ to go off track and find myself and my right livelihood elsewhere. What my parents understood was that having a successful career does not equal being happy and fulfilled. They were very wise, but also took a risk at letting me move into uncharted, terrain, and end up finding a livelihood that did not at all need the expensive elite education that they had worked so hard to give me.
    Today I am a small scale, farmer and part-time janitor at the local hospital. None of which provide any major sources of income. But freedom is also about subtracting things from your life and as long as I can live deeply in a simple way, feel that I can be of service to myself, my local community, my family and the natural world around me . I am richer than any career could ever offer. So as a parent to any other parent out there, please remember to let your children be free, and don’t pressure them into living a life you think is best for them, it might actually end up becoming the worst.

    i believe there may be two camps, people who want finance for validation from the external world and those who want freedom to exist in their internal world. those people you have 'turned away' with spiritual content would belong in the first camp most likely

    Your videos are so touching. What you say puts words to what I have always felt, and to the reason I am pursuing a path of independence. Thanks so much for making them. Sometimes, it is hard to land in words these abstract concepts, but it definitely helps form a better picture of my feelings in my mind when I hear you explain them 🙏✨

    If literally, our whole body is changed every seven years, it seems a strange concept to ask a child what it is they wish to do, for the rest of their adult life. As a society, we should stop doing that! 😊 This video has genuinely helped to clarify thoughts I was already growing more aware of - like an awareness of that knee-jerk reaction to leave comments on YT, or other social media content for what reason? Maybe a sense of validation? I'm getting better at sometimes just acknowledging content and using the 'like' button as being sufficient enough a means, to express gratitude for that content, if I have nothing additional to proffer. With exception to this comment of course! 😄 Best wishes from London.

    I like the visuals of the Trilemma, that's helpful. I know I spent most of my early life seeking spiritual knowledge and psychological fulfillment through meaning, until realizing I should probably make some cash as well. Eating is good, haha. The finance side is the current challenge and in some ways it's easier, since the path is more clear. In other ways it's harder since at first, it was less natural for me. But it's fun to make progress sense the rewards can taste better :)

    Hi Steve. Have just been watching some of your posts, really enjoying them, you're obviously a very wise guy! On a sceptical note, I might suggest that some of your personal feel good factor may be narcissism based on the (well earned) success of your You Tube channel.
    Have you ever read Freud (not the psychoanalysis b***sh*t, but the Dynamics of Personality stuff)?
    I guess I'm split between the inspirational Buddhist/meditation/Huxley (whom I also love) stuff and the objective cynicism/realism of Freud.
    Anyway, thanks again, your output is very stimulating in this post Covid, post Enlightenment era.

    Permission is a great word. I’ve been thinking about giving oneself permission, for many years. I believe that you can give yourself permission as such, in the corporate world. But to do it while staying sovereign, you’ve gotta be prepared to be fired, or at least to leave on your own if the corporation can’t accommodate you.

    "My life has no purpose.... other than creating the purpose of my life". This is the only true power of a human being : create meaning out of a reality without meaning. This is his only true freedom.

    I pretty much know what my purpose is but I have no financial independence or passive income so idk how to fund my passions. I've worked dead end labor jobs for the past decade and I've injured myself so many times I don't believe I have it in me to do another one and I also hate working for other people so idk what to do, honestly.

      @@steveantonioni its changed over the years from art, music, and writing. But currently it's photography (nature, wildlife) and videography/graphic lyric visualizers/ video editing (preferably with background music). Been dabbling with it for almost a year now and I could honestly see myself doing this for life. I want to lock down on this because as they say its better to be really good at one or two things than just okay at many things.

    I love the idea of being an SI...and like you say, you have to know who you are and how to be yourself. I'm finding it tricky letting go of the "self" (as encouraged in Buddhism), but also somehow finding a path through this life. All I've done now is tried literally a million things and am stretching myself too thin by doing too many things. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to live ones life without ever even having to think about money 😅 Big thanks for all the content you create, I always come away with some food for thought ❤

      Have you read any Jack Kornfield? A Path With Heart or After the Ectasy, the Laundry might be worth checking out. Ego dissolution is at odds with participating in the modern world. It's quite disruptive. Might be worth considering cultivating tranquility and a one pointed mind before attempting to let go of the ego (Right Concentration is the Buddhist term/path for this). Those traits are quite useful for navigating modern life until you've taken care of the first few rungs of Maslow's Hierarchy. Then you'll have a conducive environment to tackling the ego.

    Are we not inherently social though? I think it's hard to imagine a stage in my life where my "identity" wasn't a conversation with my circumstances and social circle at the time. It's hard for me to believe that who we are is the same and affected by environment, rather I think it's partially created by our environment and social influences?

    Very well articulated ideas on a hugely difficult topic! I like the point that we can do what we enjoy now and don’t have to wait until we’re financially free to do so. Do you feel as if you’ve ‘found your passion/calling’ and do you think that’s a legitimate possibility? I have a feeling it’s more like we have hundreds of things we could love doing, and the progressive narrowing society has us travel down really limits that capacity, or our interpretation of our capabilities to be passionate about more than one thing, or understand that that thing might change over time. Thanks for all you do man, great video!!

    dude been watching for a while, relate to alot of what u say, but I think ur stuck in the same trap I have been before, which is just chronically overthinking. just go set a new concrete goal and get after it, have some kids or somethin... if u always think about what the purpose of ur life is, u wont live it. so what if you have to act a bit different at work... we have societal norms for a reason... because they work man. i cannot put all I want to say in a comment but Im not sure you are on the right track. all love, thanks for the cool vids.

    • @steveantonioni
      @steveantonioni  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean, the video is pretty clearly about how I avoided a trap, am “living it”, and sharing the lessons I’ve learned in doing so. I’m not sure how you arrived at that interpretation, but thanks for sharing your thoughts regardless Neal!

    ohh very interesting! The path that you well described is similar to my own story and path 🙏 For me the answer for the great dilemma is serving. Inside your spiritual journey you may will find values that are important to you and you may think about obstacles that you overcame through reflections. And you are not alone with these obstacles. There are a lot of people out there dealing with similar problems or having similiar values. Serve them and be a support, a portal for them to overcome what you were already going through! Or create a community with similar values supporting each other.🙏 how you will deal with your mission is unique to you, there is not one way to serve. I think it is possible to serve through anything, if it is music, ART, speaking, videos, video games, technology or even just being. Being your own unique expression can already be serving to others.
    I wish anyone who reads that a wonderful, joyful day. Feeling blessed being on this exciting journey called life together with you all in this breathtaking magical world and nature.
    Lovely blessings ❤
