I'm 74 years old and now live alone. Family have moved away and I have struggled with finding my purpose alone. Your wise words will hopefully guide me and give me strength to challenge myself and make good choices on a daily basis ultimmately giving me a true sense of purpose. Thank you from a U.K follower.

I strongly relate. I am 58, I have lived alone since my only daughter moved out a couple of years ago. She is still in my life, but most of the time, I feel lonely, eating alone is the saddest thing. The rest of my family is overseas. I often struggle and feel like I have lost my purpose.

I'm on my second career and I'm currently on that dark forest where I can't see the light. To be honest, I'm losing faith and hope.
By some chance, I found this video and tears just poured out.
In today's media, we are being convinced to get rid of anything that gives us pain. My first career gave me that and I took a risk to jump to a different path because of watching a lot of motivational videos.
I don't have the privilege to change career again and the wisdom shared here that we need to overcome challenges in our lives gave me a glimmer of hope.
Thank you and may we all find love and happiness.

'we are being convinced to get rid of anything that gives us pain' '... I've been there, on this 'path' of happy-clappy pseudo positive approach...avoiding confrontation with any form of shadow to maintain the state of painless efortless comfort... it's false, it's illusion, good for a while, but at some point I realized that pleasure without challange could be empty inside, shallow, meaningless. I ended depressed and anxious.. If comfort is my purpose of life, my ultimate goal ...what if something happens and I'll loose my comfort?
I understood that good challange helps me build my strenght, it gives me sens of being and achievement, this good feeling that I'm able overcome my inner weakness or external obstacles. As long as I'm doing something useful, and see some progress and fulfilment despite of ups and downs - I am fine, maybe a bit tired, or streched, but fine. I can give myself a gift of rest. Then the pleasure is real, deep, and has a sweet, uniique taste of satisfaction from doing something meaningful.

Sometimes all we need is patience. I had many challenges from since I was born raised by different parents and uprooted to live in so many places. Dealing with emotions I couldn't place, being avoidant as I thought people would leave me anyways. Someone told me what I was doing and after that came reflection and more struggles. Had a debt thanks to my ex and came out of it, learnt how to take care of myself and then I had space, time and some money, travelled and learnt so much from other cultures. Never owned a house and only rented shared rooms so I could save up. Landing a job that made decent money in telecom and though I could it was not my dream nor my purpose. Then I remembered that I was working with energy before, putting my hands on people and after a burnout I started to go back on the spiritual discovery and opened up. When I was 40 I discovered that many times I lived so close to this school of shiatsu and I did all 4 years and am now a licenced shiatsu therapist. And after taking many minimum paid jobs in admin I am now a personal assistant for a director of a big company and entering my autumn years. The red line in all the jobs I did was helping people in some way and in the end it took my actions to get to my purpose and to find a job that I am happy with doing. Never give up on yourself. Yes, I agree with getting rid of everything that gives us pain, the path to it might be painful sometimes, it is also part of life

Therefore, I’m planning to quit nursing to pursue youtube full time as there are lots of issues in our traditional health systems as these don’t align with my values. It’s a huge learning curve but I love helping people through making videos.

    A while ago,
    I used to think that
there's something outside and there's must be a place that can change me.
But that was wrong, I realized
It's inside in me ,already have and small decisions
    shape to big picture.
I want to live each day with kindness
and make decisions with kind heart
and passion so I always write a
journal, running, take care of myself too .
    But ,sometimes I got lost.
Since I watch your you tube
    I start to challenge meditation
    For five minutes every morning.
    I just started 4 days ago,😂
but I can't forget that day
    my heart was peaceful and
    Positive feelings were bigger than
    Negative.
I'm just excited what would be like after one year through meditation.
Thank you show I feel much better
    than before.

I've been following the path that that I have felt and envisioned since my childhood to be my true calling. I have encountered enormous challenges to fulfill this passion as I struggled financially as a single mother of four kids as I was working and studying at the same time. Another challenge was how to veer away from organized religion. At age 18, I discovered Eastern philosopies through the Maharishi as he initiated me to TM himself, following were my search for spirituality, consciousness and awakening. As an empath, these opened me more to help contribute to the good of humanity. Little things like helping a friend, neighbor, my students or even strangers. Coaching, mentoring or whatever my intuition would lead me to realize the real solution that people need with their problems.
I just do what I need to do without expecting anything in return. To be able to help people unconditionally, means I am blessed. Enough reason to be very grateful every waking hour.

Incredible video. Thank you for making it. I have always wanted to become a writer, it is my passion, and what I truly yearn for, and yet I could never find the motivation to finish a book. I could be at the very last word, and simply not have the will left in me to write it, and so I would just scrap it. And it got to the point, where I lost the will to even begin writing. Your words and your teachings are helping me to understand where I had lost my way, and that perhaps, it is all a part of that joruney. I will not forget them. I believe I no longer regret the lost opporties, or wasted time. It was all a lesson. I am sending love your way from Bulgaria, your wisdom and the Japanese philosophy and teachings are reaching people all around the world, and that is incredible. That, in combination with the teachings and wisdom of my own culture I think are helping to shape me into a version of myself I am much happier with. Having gone through a challenging healing path (due to physical injuries last year), I understand how motivation can be interrupted because so much effort is put on physical, mental and emotional trauma and recovery. In a state of overwhelm, even the act of brushing your teeth or brushing your hair can feel like almost too much effort. You know you are on a healing path when even these simple acts resume being important in nurturing life force and momentum that moves you forward.

Thank you for the video. I struggle with self confidence, with feeling no good or not good enough but I still strive for my goals. I am a hard task master and am hard on myself if I can't do something. My negative thoughts can be the hardest. I think of how people have treated me and instead of letting go, I dwell, even though I know it is only hurting me and not them. I need to watch more of your videos.

Thank you for your message's here👌🥰😊

helping in any way u can daily or not is already your purpose, making people smile, helping a relative in need, a distressed family member, donating something you don’t need anymore, there are lots of ways you may have had already done or have been doing, being kind to others, cheering up someone etc,

I like that a lot. Oftentimes people think a purpose has to be some big, lucrative thing. Whereas it’s the little things, the kindnesses, that can have a huge impact on another .

Thank you for sharing. I am on a Hero's Journey. My discovery has just begun. Like a kid in a candy store with a Dad that never says, "No". He allows me to decide where the money he gave to me goes. I am tasting so many new things. Patience with myself is difficult sometimes. There has always been somebody rushing me along reminding me of "time". I am trusting that he who is watching me knows the time, and it should be no concern of mine. I get what I need at the proper time.

"Ciao"? As italian I love it! Japanese culture and philosophy always come back to me when I need it, maybe is cuz of my past Japanese life. Same as you, I'm working on myself by my own and sometimes is very hard, I feel like I want to give up cuz I don't have the strength, I feel stuck and I don't know what to do, nobody can't listen to me or understand me and sometimes is frustrating. I can't even meditate, I'm going through a very hard moment. This video is like fresh hair, like the first and the last ray of the sun. I have to be patient with myself, let myself flow with the process knowing it will take time, and I need to accept this. Thank you so much for this video! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
