  • The Shirts perform “Outside the Cathedral Door” at CBGB on March 17, 1999. This multi cam video was made possible thanks to the generosity of Bob B. and Barry K. ( / bkoopers ) who shared their video footage with me.

One of my top 10s. thanks George - I wanted to see if I could find lyrics on google. They state, "When will you pay the grave Cathedral". So here I think - for ???? years I have been singing/thinking the wrong lyrics. However, the only 3 albums that are not stored in my attic - just in case - are THE SHIRTS 3. I was right. It's "When will you, play the great, Cathedral...". In retrospect, it's funny that whoever submitted those lyrics - heard them wrongly. Thanks for always putting the words on the INNERSLEEVE!

@@10thFloorClown ABSO-F>-*ing-lutely! It changed my life. It was CBGB'S night at The Red Fox, in New Brunswick, NJ! It was my first trip to a nightclub, and my first experience of seeing a live band, performing their own original music. BTW, we've chatted on The Shirts Fan page on Facebook, which I can't even locate anymore! LOL! Staci Ardmore is easier to find! (See for yourself!0
So anywhoz, I come in the club, and go downstairs, and quite ironically, they're right smack in the middle of '"10th Floor Clown". I was stoned! ... I mean stunned... well, actually, quite a bit of both! And from that very moment on, right up until today, with my life's theme song being "Teenage Crutch", watching live music performances is, has been, and will be my greatest passion! I'll be seeing Annie Haslam's (lead singer of Renaissance) in her annual Christmas show, in December. And also, quite ironically, even though she's British, she's been a local resident around here for about the last 30 years!
I try to help The Shirts out, by linking to a lot of their stuff, on a lot of my own (quite popular) social media. But every time I posted on THEIR page, they took it down! Well, ain't no mascara off my lashes. MY popularity is on the way up! "Your Upsies-Thumbsies-Thingies are my uppers! HELM... lay in a course for Menkar... warp-factor niner... and then some!" Which I end with the TH-cam link to "Triangulum" I still use that. I have this one too! "My lifestyle has always been far too wild, for any type of serious commitments." That gets followed with a link to a live performance of 'Teenage Crutch". But I don't give a S**T, if they don't give a S**T The only celebrity in Staci Ardmore's forum, is Staci Ardmore, herself!
Sorry that I don't usually link to your TH-cam, because this "Terry Barkley" guy, has all kinds of additional Shirts pix and credits, which I figure works better for the band's exposure. I'm a "Super Excellent Master" (link to a TH-cam clip of Bill and Ted) of logistics and analytics, which is an unusual, and revered degree of the Freemasons (They don't like that we know that). But I'm sure that Bill and Ted would concur, that NOTHING can be higher than a "Super Excellent Master" and that's not Bogus, DUDE!

They took it down but I made it as an essay@@10thFloorClown Comment on anything, anywhere, and let me know who you are, on my social media and I'll respond with it! It's a killer story!

Sorry we lost touch... it seems the Shirts fan page on Facebook no longer exists.

I'm not sure why you think the FB page is gone. It's still there, and I see you're still a member there. facebook.com/groups/48930251887
