When I was Harmonica player for The Rice Miller Band we used to share the bill w The Shirts and did a lot of gigs together !! Great times..miss those days for sure !

Wow Vinnie, that is so cool! I remember The Rice Miller Band from all the CBGB ads, but I never saw them live. Do you have any live recordings of The Shirts from back then?

@@10thFloorClown No sorry I don't have any live recordings of The Shirts ..back in 2010 Johnny Zeek ,Bob Racippio.( Shirts.) and myself and Frank Galante ( R.Miller ) had a band called Instant Rice .
Three cuts from my CD Blues from Brooklyn are on you tube ! Just put in my name Vinnie Minieri ! Thanks for your feedback! Instant Rice lasted a year.

I've always tried to get my friends to get into The Shirts! I remember one night, when the Piscataway NJ police department had the nickname "Partymaker" for me, and the last of the crowd was filtering out of my apartment. This song started playing, and they were all moving and dancing on the way out! Such a catchy beat! I don't think it ever failed to get some "rocking feet to moving"" (From The Guess Who song, "Self-Pity")
Everything I knew about was always American
Skip a stone lightly and you'll be okay
Never really get my rocking feet to moving
Till somebody's singing "Not Fade Away"
