My personal ideal Assassin's Creed would be a mix of guitar hero-like rhythm based combat, with a bit of dress up a kin to barbie games, a bit of FPS and lots of gay dating sims with lots of intimate scenes, shots of feet and horses

Its funny when you think that Assassin's Creed is the most successful IP Ubisoft has right now and they didn't even know why it is successful. They are pushing for the IP to have live-service model because it is marketable but yet, the game being singleplayer experience is what makes it sell. They can't just simply milk Assassin's Creed to be live-service, it defeats the purpose,

There is a multiplayer quest in Unity I have been attempting since day one. It’s now a DECADE later and the game still cannot match me with another player to complete the quest.
Just give us ACTUAL GUNS instead and Fighting AND Co-op/ Traditional MP Modes!

Hi Exile! Remember me? How's it been? I've lost all connections with assassin's creed ever since all these things are happening.. AC Shadow's doesn't seem like assassin's Creed to me at all, even though I kinda like how it looks already, Ubisoft has completely lost its mind and at this point it's kinda hilarious, I'ma just go back to mindless parkouring in AC Unity cuz it's way more fun than their new games

Honestly never liked multiplayer games. Sounds like this is not gonna make a change despite being part of my favorite franchise. I just prefer story games to be honest.

the transition from Action Adventure to RPG already slowly killed the franchise for me.
the Auditore era AC's had the perfect amount of gear and weapons for me, less was more. you can level up your Armor as the story progresses and unlock equipment and 1 or 2 new skills from missions. add a good story, good level design (at times lol) and good characters to that and you had some of my favourite AC's in the franchise.
Unity had good CO-OP and the parkour was pretty fun, if a little jank with the animations at times. the story was pretty decent and i liked the look of the game in general. the level design was probably some of my favourite in the franchise.
but after that i was lost...it started to feel less like AC and more like a generic RPG with levelling and grinding for gear that was just slightly better then your recent gear.
dont get me wrong, some of the more recent games would have been pretty good games by themselves...if they didnt have the AC logo on them! After Unity, it felt like Ubi just gave up on the original AC story and just ran with whatever generic game idea they had and put *just enough* AC based references and gimmicks to be able to put the IP on it for more sales.
then i just saw the slow introduction of over the top abilities and even more generic RPG mechanics into it and hell, lazy game design. Origins: How was I able to kill my target before even going to the mission to find his location? i was just trying to free hostages on my way! Mirage: why are assassins able to teleport now? that just takes the fun out of the hunt. Valhalla: why are *Vikings*, people known for being *loud* & *killing indiscriminately*, part of a creed of people whos literal motto is "stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent" and "hide in plain sight"? wtf has happened to AC?
and if people are going to turn around and say "but they explained all of this if you played the game!" "its because they are using a animus!" "the Vikings had assassin blood!" Cool, if your ok with those explanations and you enjoy the game, thats fine, go play the game! but as a fan of the OG games, i will say that Ubisoft can shove the games up themselves if they want to try sell to me that the games are AC games. because, to me, they are the furthest thing from.
now hearing what they have planned, im just sad...Ubi has really lost the plot lately...i hope someone can come in and turn them back around to what i remember them being...if they do they will be my god damn hero.

Thank you for the news update, even though I am late for the party. I think I am the only one that is not totally against an Assassin's Creed multiplayer game that plays like Fall Guys, but I do believe this idea should not take the spot of AC Invictus. In my opinion Invictus should be a back to the roots multiplayer experience.
AC went downhill from 3 onwards, AC4 was great not because it was a good AC game, but because it was a good pirate game.
They could have made an among us version as a quick multiplayer game. Would fit more the theme of AC
Well we're criticising Ubisoft for not being original and not innovative and here they are trying to innovate. Honestly I think there could be potential to shake up the game space a bit. With ACs parkour (unity style) a parkour racing game with smoke bombs and decoys would actually be pretty intresting, I dont think there are any parkour racing game. Ubisoft has the potential to relaunch the OG AC multiplayer and a parkour racing mode as a free to play stand alone multilayer game and Id sink days of gameplay.
I say give it a try, unless Ubisoft does what they do best and destroy an idea beyond its potential

They must be trying to sink the stock price so they can ultimately buy these companies out, if investment companies have lost anything, it’s only temporary..
If they have this being an add in to a main game, with story connections it could be more worth it. But what would really make it better, is rewards for playing this that unlock in the main title they have at the time. Otherwise, this is a "marathon by bungie being late to the genre" story playing out.
For me, my perfect ac game will probably have ac unity parkour with ezio storytelling with ac: R combat mixed with ac unity combat also and unity stealth mechanics. for sure if ubisoft decided to make an ac game like this it will be the best of all ac games and will be the best selling ac game❤

Damn I was getting excited about this. I was imagining the original multi-player games but bigger maps and some mele combat added in. Fully customizable characters and all the original Assassin's from all the games but no this sounds absolutely crap. Ubisoft fails again to listen to fans and its reflected in thier share prices.

Assasins creed multiplayer is a hard thing to make ive really wanted one that you can go and di assasination around the world and parkour around the city from london to new yor and paris the best parkour movement ive played was in unity why not just use that movement improve it abit and make a randomized mission from assasination infleltration and parkour challenge unity can just copy the layout of google map from city to city and make it have colisions and interactions yeah this is BIg but just this alon where you can customized your own assasin have micro transaction drip or skins for a weapon from guns to blades and where you can customized your housing stronghold they can make a LOT of money. And they can have there gay or woke shit cause its your own customize assasin like how is this not even come up to there idea

Assassin's creed is dead. It died with desmond. While there have been decent games like ac4 since then, the series heart and soul is gone. I enjoy odessey for what it was and mirage was a nice somewhat return to form gameplay wise, but im moving on. They need to rename this franchise and move on from it. Prince of persia afterall died so AC could be born. They need to take the same approach with AC. Its time for change. But they dont have the f*cking spine to do it.🙄
