    As someone who recently purchased the Envista. I'm surprised to see videos of people not liking Buick. People say old people buy these cars...basically sensible people with money. Older people have a lot of money or are very financially comfortable. So when i hear people say that they don't like it because it's an old person's brand, i hear " I am not mature and want to come across as someone who is irresponsible with money."
    But anyway, in my area. I live in an established area. From considering the home prices, the fact we are in a commute area, and from looking at data, people here make at least over $120k+. Dual income households. I see a few Maseratis, but mostly the typical newer years Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes, Teslas, BMWs, higher end Kias, Cadillacs, and Buicks. As a stay at home mom, we are a one income family and definitely belong among our financial cohorts. I see a lot more buicks than anything else. I wont lie but i did choose buick because everyone seems to have one and because my husband said we needed a reliable/durable car brand which is not costly to repair and because a lot of people here have buicks. I chose the envista because it looked different and i seriously did not want to stand outside my children's school and my car is identical to literally almost every car waiting to pick up their child. I'm happy with me choice but i just you all should know that buick do sell quite a bit in my area .

      Great comment! We currently have the 2024 Buick Envista Avenir in our driveway and just finished filming that review. I absolutely love the vehicle except AWD would be nice, especially since we are in the middle of a big snowstorm today lol. Otherwise it's a great vehicle and so is the Encore GX which we reviewed last week. Check those out and our Envista video which comes out Thursday and let us know if we missed anything. Thank you for watching.

    I owned a Buick Encore as a commuter a long time ago. It was a decent suv but had a lot of infotainment issues. That’s not really Buick but the crappy software company who built it for them. 3.8L 6 was one of the best engines ever made. These 3cyl motors need a bit more power and better efficiency.

    I purchased my Buick Verano new, in 2013. I still love this hidden gem and have had absolutely no reliability issues with it. Wanting to jump in on the SUV craze, I'm considering a trade for a sub-compact SUV. My local Buick dealer never has an Envista Avenir or Encore GX Avenir to test drive. I like the styling more on the Envista, but the Encore GX has slightly more power. I don't really need AWD, living in Southern CA. Does the Envista Avenir have a leather steering wheel and gear shifter? a friend tested the Envista Preferred and said those two features were made of a cheap synthetic leather-like material. Hoping the Avenir has real leather. I'm still enjoying my Verano, which still runs great and has low miles. I just love the look of the Envista, so I'm tempted. I'm of the demographics that love Buicks.... age 69 & female.

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I honestly cannot tell if it's synthetic or real these days because it looks and feels really good. I know synthetic gets a bad reputation from its Early beginning but it has come a long way and I would not dismiss it for that reason personally. I actually now prefer synthetic but it's a personal preference really.

    • @Outsider.Reviews

      That's almost impossible to figure out since the Envista is also a brand new model. Rule of thumb is, first generation vehicles usually go through a rough patch. The more you change, in a vehicle, the more time it takes to become reliable

    I own a 1977 Buick skylark and it still runs .. Buick used to have muscle cars in the late 60’s and 70’s .. the 80’s is when they turned into grandpas/grandma cars besides the regal .

    I've always gotten the old man jokes from people. I'm 40, and just bought my 5th Buick. Had an 86 Park Avenue, an 07 LaCrosse, a 12 Verano (got totalled after a year), a 13 Verano to replace the first one after the crash, and just bought a 24 Envista. They've always been a good vehicle for me, and they're comfortable with a smooth ride. I do miss the 3.8 V6 though. That was THE best V6 you could get. I've also had Ford, Acura, and VW. None of them hold a match to my Buicks. The Ford got lemon-lawed (after about 2 years of fighting for it and Ford refused to do a good chunk of the warranty work), the Acura went through 3 transmissions in 120k miles (all were covered in warranty due to recalls thankfully. It was a nice car, but just spent almost as much time in the shop as it did on the road), and the VW... well it was a VW lol.

      Yes they really are! I think GM has improved overall, although they are running into infotainment issues and such but the GM's from 3 years ago had the old system so I expect that reliability will go slightly down with the big refresh that happened in 2022
