- I can't wait to show you my massive vintage haul! I went to a tag sale in Higganum, Connecticut, and everything was half off. Long story short - I found fantastic vintage items at unbelievable prices. It was so much fun! Join me to check out my finds and see how I've incorporated them into my home decor.
Amazing finds Kris! And I love how you styled them. I actually like the rug how you had it draped over the stairwell - maybe if you cut off the remaining fringe Iris won't be interested in it? The prints in the spare room are so sweet but of course my eye was drawn to the unique tole trays you have displayed there! I for one would love to see a video of your whole collection. THANK YOU so much for the heads up on the sale. It was incredible. God bless all of the volunteers that made it happen and I hope the church made a great profit! ❤
Thanks! I like it draped over the stairwell too, but then I can't see the full design. I think Iris will leave it alone if I'm not standing near it talking to my phone! I was really happy to share the tag sale news with you - thrifters have to stick together!

The rectangle basket has the mark for Charles Field Haviland. Everyone refers to porcelain made in Limoge France as limoge but it should be referred to as Haviland china! The Haviland family found the clays of Limoge France were perfect for making their pure white porcelain to be imported to America. They also imported thousands of blanks for ladies to practice hand-painting on. I think your basket is such a piece! There are thousands upon thousands of patterns that the Haviland family produced, worth picking up a book with the different marks to help you identify the different companies.

Such a fun collection! I'm glad you like the way I displayed them. I have a full shelf of coronation cups (and similar) in my library, so I was happy to find homes for the rest of my cups.
Kris, I have seven cats. I know crazy! A little tip I would like to share is that I put blue tac under my breakables and this helps tremendously.

Fire mantle looks beautiful with your collection, and mother-in-law’s vase should definitely stay put. I vote to cut the fringe off if you’re going to keep the rug. What an amazing tag sale, truly!
My fav of all was the goegeous blue and white lamp. I sure hope it lasts. Its a keeper. You found great pieces. Oh yes, the suitcase I love.
So far I've managed to keep the lamp safe from the cats! It was a good find and really good price!
Kris, I was waiting to see your finds! You have such a good eye and found so many beautiful pieces. I just knew you would absolutely love this tagger. They have this every year about the same time and it never disappoints. I love the season prints and think they look really nice grouped how you have them, and next to the lamp. Well, I'm off to tagging today, and if I come across another good one, I will be sure to give you a heads up!

Tea cups from my tea sets and dinnerware sets. I love china! I have 15 sets of china dinnerware from the makers of Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Lenox, Noritake and a very old set from Czechoslovakia. I also have a vast teapot and tea set collection. Mostly Wedgwood, Royal Albert, and Royal Tuscan and I have a complete Belleek tea set. I love bone china I think it is the most durable. I use a different set for every meal or snack. My small house has five china cabinets so I can display my teapots and all of my crystal and elegant glassware of the depression. Retirement is wonderful surrounded by the things that make me happy, beautiful china, glassware, and my two Papillon dogs. I love where I live in Florida. I moved to Florida one year ago and I could not be happier. I enjoy your show very much.
I’m glad to see the younger generation loving and enjoying these beautiful pieces you found. Had I gone to that sale I too would have been JUNK DRUNK. Love that term. I love the blue lamp you found as I love blue and white. And great prices. I too love dishes and pretty things that are antique or vintage. I’m a visual person so like to enjoy looking at their beauty. Fun video to see.

I would have loved that sale also. I'm sure by now you have researched the CFH GDM rectangular tray with handle to find it is French. Charles Field Haviland and Garard Dufraisseix Morel.
It was SO GOOD! I did eventually look up the tray. I'm determined to get better at spotting these pieces with my own eyes instead of needing to look them up, but I'm not quite there yet. (Practice makes perfect, hopefully!) Thanks for watching the video and leaving me a comment!

I love all of your finds! The four seasons prints look great where you placed them. Would you mind to share what you used to hang the two black trays next to them? I have three similar trays I want to hang on my wall. Thanks!
I'm so glad you enjoyed them! My black trays have a thin piece of wood behind them that serves as a ledge for a nail. They came that way. For other trays, I've done a variety of different things, like very large metal or plastic plate hangers. The downside is that they can damage the paint so you have to be very thoughtful before proceding. When the tray has handles, I'll usually tie loral wire or picture hanging wire from one handle to the other.
