- Check out our unbelievable FREE vintage haul! I'll show you everything that we found in the boxes and explain what we plan to do with them.
Here's a link to my ebay store if you'd like to check it out: www.ebay.com/s...
UNBELIEVABLE all those items were destined for trash!!! So happy you and Eric rescued everything. Indy & Iris better behave - I’m nervous and don’t even live there. 😂 Not only do you look like Amy, you have similar mannerisms. Those amber colored pitchers are gorgeous!
Just for the record, Indy and Iris NEVER behave - but they're cute, so we forgive them! We were really happy to rescue these items. People are so quick to throw things away - we lose a lot of treasures that way. Thanks for leaving me a comment! 😊
Pyrex, Corelle and Corning Ware are all actually made by the same company which is called "Corning" I think it was first Pyrex then they started with the Corelle and it became really popular with all the pretty colors & designs. The decorative plate with roses & the green divided dish are both so pretty! Love the Jadeite! The amber glass is always pretty too. Love the black pfaltzgraff, very unique. The perculator reminds me of my mom, when i was little that's what she used for her coffee. My mom had lots of the corelle with blue flowers and the one with the mustard yellow flowers. Never seen the large measuring piece, interesting. The thermos is sought after, very collectable! Personally I love the wood bowl. I have a few casserole dishes with the blue flowers that I've had for forever. Not long ago we had 5 old outside storage sheds, full of boxes & totes we had to clean out. Things that were good went to out thrift store, the rest went to the dump. Of course I got the chance to dig a little first and i find some really amazing things! There was lots of dishes and glasses, mugs, and lots of Christmas decor. Ohhh Wow that scale is amazing! And what a cool find in the drawer huh?! Well you guys definitely had A large haul with really great pieces! Good luck.. hope you guys do great with selling all the things!😊
Thank you so much for telling me a bit about the history of Corning - I never knew that! Cleaning out those sheds must have been a lot of work, but fun digging! Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment!
I worked at Finast supermarket in the early 70’s with $100.00 in receipts you could get a free place setting of the white set of dishes.
That's FASCINATING! Thank you for the information!
Wow 😮 cannot even imagine all of that going in the trash! Thank you for saving it. Two things: Iris and Indy are stars and Slap and Chop has to be the best name for a kitchen appliance OMG 😂😂😂😂. Also the smell of the old Avon cologne 😮You’re a brave woman
Okay, your comments just made me laugh aloud! Could you imagine if I decided to name Indy and Iris "Slap" and "Chop" instead? I was GAGGING on the Avon cologne. It might have been okay in its day, but it was definitely "ripe" all of these years later. I'm not sure if I'm brave or just nuts! 😂😂😂
@@WorthingtonHome 🤣Slap and Chop either sounds like cartoon characters or something naughty.....either way not sure it belongs in the kitchen. And you are being kind, but I think that you might have gagged a little when you opened the Avon cologne back in 1984 or whenever it came out, if my memory serves me correctly. No offense to anyone who likes Avon 🙂
The blue pitcher and saucer are Avon. I believe it was a special celebration feature, there are candle holders and plates that go with the set❣️ I remember my mother having them.
I eventually found that out in my research (that they're Avon) , but didn't know about the candle holders! I bet it made a very pretty set. ❤️
The 14k Waterman nibs are the best find, even if you had to pay $100 for the scale. Waterman is a very desirable brand, and the 14 K nibs sell from $150 to $200 a piece on line depending on the number/size of the nib. I can’t believe the people selling didn’t check the drawer, and left gold in it…your husband scored🎉🎉🎉
You just never know what you're going to find! It was a very lucky and random score! (The scale is really cool as well!) By the way, my husband loved your comments - thanks for taking the time to write them!
Oh! My goodness! What a great haul!
I can imagine the surprise when you opened the boxes Chris!
The rose china dishes are lovely, and a lot of mid century set of glasses! They are great!
I have a friend that posts everything in Facebook Marketplace “pickup only”, “private message only “, she sets the date and time to deliver the item, and she is very successful doing that. Maybe that idea can help you, too.
Thank you for sharing another great video with us! 💖
It was a lot of fun - and so unexpected! I appreciate the Facebook Marketplace tip. It's something we may get into a bit more. Starting tomorrow we're going to experiment with Auction Ninja and Clearinghouse Auctions. It will be interesting to see what works best. Thanks so much for watching the video and leaving me a comment!
What a treasure trove for an event planner!
You're so right! I didn't think of that!
Such fun and you can't beat the price! Hope you make a bundle, you work so hard!!
Thank you! We work hard, but we love what we do, so it's all good.
You found some nice treasures. The free cost was fantastic!
Free is my very favorite price! 😂
@@WorthingtonHome Yours and mine! 😂
What a windfall! Good for you.
Thanks! We've had so much fun with this unexpected haul!
Like that old scale.
Thank you! There were so many fun things in that unexpected vintage haul.
excellent video! How much fun that must have been to look through
It was so unexpected! Yes, lots of fun to be sure!
You may want to contact Replacements, LTD. They may give you a quote for the entire collection. Instead of you having to list all that stuff. They have a market for it.
That's a great tip! I'll try them. Thank you!
Beautiful things. I’m enjoying your channel from Chicago!
I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying it! Thanks for leaving me a comment!
I also love beautiful dishes. You are very lucky to find such a treasure. I envy You!)))
I'm like a kid in a candy shop! It's definitely fun to go through all of these beautiful old items. Thanks for leaving me a comment!
You are so sweet!!
Thank you so much for the very kind compliment! It's much appreciated!
The blue cornflower needs a handle that is attachable and detachable. They are found at the thrifts fairly well.
That explains a lot - we actually have 2 of those handles, including one in a box. Thanks for the info!
Maybe Facebook Marketplace, I am in a mall and traffic can be slow if your not selling what they are buying.
We've thought about Facebook Marketplace. We just signed up with Auction Ninja/Estate Clearinghouse, so we'll see how that goes. I can appreciate what you're saying about traffic being slow in a mall.
