- SO MUCH THRIFTING IN JUST ONE DAY! I hope you'll join me for part 1 of a 2-part video featuring a thrifted haul and a massive tag sale haul. Part 1 focuses on the thrifted haul. I'll show you my finds and how I styled them. I'll also give you an overview of some of my favorite vintage and antique furniture in our home and provide some info about their origin. All four furry friends will stop by to say hello, including Wilson, who gave us a bit of a scare (but he's okay!)

Your tall teapot in the Limoug cabinet is actually a Chocolate pot. That's why the cups are so small.

Interesting info on the Margolis family. I believe there were furniture stores by that name into the 1960/80’s maybe. I think there were some in the Detroit area.
I suspect it may have been another family. It's not a terribly uncommon name. I think the Margolis I was talking about stayed within the Hartford area, but of course, I could always be mistaken.
Another fantastic episode. You found some great pieces. The sugar and creamer Joan gave you are beautiful. I am glad Wilson is okay and that you and Eric was able to find a resolution to the problem .
Thank you! I adore the sugar and creamer! Poor Wilson is continuing to struggle with stairs, so I've moved my "office" to the dining room for now. That way he always has company. 💕💕

Wonderful finds today. You know if you find a lovely little teapot without the lid you could put a small amount of greenery in it and sell it as a small planter. The small Lenox pieces may have been for lemon 🍋 slices with your tea. Thanks for sharing your wonderful furniture, I’m hoping the younger generations will value these pieces in the future 😊

Your oval Lenox dishes are ash trays (for use on dining table). I’ve had mine for 60 years.

Lovely video. I am so glad Wilson is okay. I love your delft collection! The mug looks great there! I hope they’re safe from the kitties. The furniture history lesson is very interesting! I am on the lookout for the same list, although my husband is a great cook….so my list is a little shorter 😅.
Thank you! Fortunately the cats haven't been interested in the bookshelves in the dining room (I probably just jinxed myself). You're lucky to have a husband who's a great cook! Eric is more of a grilling kind of guy, but he can fix/build anything, so I have no complaints. 👌👌
Hi Kris, you didn’t mention any joint supplements for your larger dogs? If not, I highly recommend them, they really help my Rottweiler and Heeler. 🧡🐾🖤
We used two different supplements. They definitely help, but we still run into issues with his mobility, especially around stairs. He can't climb onto furniture anymore either. Is there anything specific your dogs have used that you've really liked?
@@WorthingtonHome - Cosequin Maximum Joint Supplement works well for my large dogs and (1) Vetality Canine Asprin at bedtime helps also. Gives them a comfortable, quality sleep with more pep in their step.
Great job on the traction mat for Wilson and Licorice, too. Little things like that helps a lot! xx
What goodwill did you go to? I live in CT and would love to go there! I love those blue and white vases you saw. Not that they will still be there!
I go to lots of different ones depending on where I find myself on a given day. I think the blue and white vases were at the Bloomfield Goodwill, if I'm not mistaken.
The little Lenox bowls maybe teabag rest?

Are your steps only wood? I had to add a runner on my wooden stairs so my elderly dog could grab traction and ascend more easily.
Our steps have a carpet (that I would like to replace), and now we've added the mat to the top of the stairs to give him more traction. It seems to be helping.

Get your dog some medication for his joints!
He has two medications that we use. They help, but he still struggles from time to time, poor baby.
