Super helpful! I'm so glad I found this video. Cracked my mirror backing into a spot when it hit a concrete pole, and initially tried putting on an adhesive glass because I thought it would be too complicated to remove the mirror myself. Well turns out that I didn't align the adhesive glass properly, which caused it to get caught in the mirror housing every time I tried to move it. Fast forward to me finding this video, and I followed your directions to a T and got my mirror out! It took me a whopping 2 minutes with a butter knife as my pry tool. Can't thank you enough!
Just used this to remove the broken mirror from my 2016 CRV. The replacement glass is on the way. I’ve never seen a clearer or easier to follow video related to repairing ANYTHING on a car. Thank you!
@@grampzquad - quick question if you have any advice or suggestions. I got the new mirror installed with no difficulty. The camera and motor work perfectly. But I now have a very slight wind whistle that wasn't there before. I've checked all the seals and compared them to the driver's side door. They seem to be in place correctly. I've checked the nuts and bolts on the new mirror and they're tight. Any ideas what I might have done wrong to create this whistle? Thanks!
A small Coulda/Shoulda/Woulda Critique, sir. Next time please include step-by-step REinstall of the mirror. So we viewers can witness any potential tough spots that may come about. Thank you for the video. It is very helpful & insigtful. Tip: I noticed you are working by yourself. If that was the reason for not including the reinstall footage because it might have been too cumbersome, then might I suggest getting a Go-Pro head mounted camera. It about the same size as a head-mounted flashlight. I believe GoPro has a camera that comes in eyeglass frames too.
Thanks for the video i'm going to try it myself. Well, i ordered the mirror on Amazon and it won't fit. It looks like it should but, somethings wrong and it won't catch on the bottom. I'm sending it back and will try another company.
I've got to replace the entire side mirror unit...daughter backed out of garage and totally smashed the plastic casing and broke the mirror. Do you have a video how to do that?? The auto store wants $1000 to make repair. Yikes...

I'm not sure of the technical name but I would call it the "mirror mounting plate". Some people are so rude! to seal a mirror! 🤬

I backed into a flag pole and broke mine. I ordered the whole arm and everything..all I needed was the mirror apparantely🙄
