The play itself is so good but I don’t like how Tchaikovsky ended it. I prefer the version where Odette is trapped in being Odile it gives more tragedy, more drama, and more emotion - the idea of hopelessness and being trapped in a false love.

Act 1 Prince plays in courtyard or some shit
Act 2 goes down to a lake where he sees a bunch of swans and a wizard. One of the swans turns into a woman and tells the dude that if he vows his love to her he can reverse the spell the wizard put on her but he must keep his promise and not give his love to anyone else or she’ll remain a swan forever.
Act 3. Theres a party and the wizard brings his daughter disguised as the swan lady. The dude swesrs his love to the wizards daighter and the swan lady sees them through a window. The dude notices her.
Act4. Dude runs for the swan lady and explains that he was tricked. She understands but it doesnt matter since the spell wont be broken now. They both decide to die together then to have to live apart and succumb to the wizards trickery.

It's no wonder my late grandparents listened to classical music...very sick right now and coping with this and helping my oldest daughter who is in a crisis for awhile and trying to maintain a new healthy and happy relationship...not a easy task when your unable to live together. This actually gives me peace and don't really care about the story behind it...I'm 55 to old to worry

Всегда очень любила этот балет. Мне в целом очень нравится Чайковский, стараюсь как можно чаще посещать НОВАТ, когда там ставят его балет. А сейчас делаю начертательную геометрию под эту мелодию

Even more so because the clarinet is an oboe! ;) Double reeds always do seem to be birds when personified (animalified?), Prokofiev "Peter and the Wolf" a great example.

_"Of all the weapons in the vast soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars"_ Lord of War
