Abusers dont change they learn to mask the abuse for who they are not willing to loose but soon as that dies down they go back to being abusers… same as Narcs

such a layered conversation. As he stated at the beginning that society usually deals with the fruits rather than going to the root causes. This episode went straight to the roots. From 12;00-15 min We cannot run away from what patriarchy has done(expectation of power, provision and strength from men regardless of age). The lines are so blurry when it comes to male abuse. "deal with things before they deal with you. "I like how him and his partner saw a gap in the church and decided to offer their services. He mentioned that the church would rather pray issues away than deal with them. Yho hay this conversation, so many nuggets to chew on.

This should have been at least 3 hours long. There are some serious issues to be unpacked here. Thank you Dany for the gems dropped here

It's possible, only after a lot of introspection. I was able to want better for myself and I didn't want to keep hurting people cos I was hurting.
I've owned that I chose a partner who was not as honest or had a good character but I married her.
I was addicted to the highs and lows.
    It's possible to change.

I can't wait to need couples counselling🤭😶‍🌫 but also being toxic in relationships stems from our relationships with our fathers or lack there of, I know it's doing a real number on me in my adulthood and as a woman who wants to be in a healthy relationship with a man and as a parent it affects me even more- please explore this as a topic.

Abuser never change really. But i believe in helping while the branch can still bend. But once they older its almost impossible.
