The 883 IRON is why I found your Channel. I also bought a 2017, 883 Iron because of it. Thank you... we all need more 883! So glad we will be watching your Journeys on the IRON again!
Science Fact: It is impossible for a man to strap down any kind of load in a trailer without saying "That's not going anywhere" as he tightens the rope. Confirmed :D @4:28
He is the reason i went to msf course and bought fully paid for 2019 iron 883 as my first bike. Been riding it a whole month so far with over 1000 miles on it i love it.
Because of you I bought an Iron last week (if you only knew how expensive they are here in Germany...) and to see you going back makes me sooooo happy!
Man I am so happy to see this bike back. You and your channel are what helped me make the decision to get my bike, and as of fall of last year I proudly got a 2016 iron 883. One of the best things ever. I was sadly one of those wimps that didn’t ride all winter, but when the weather got nice again I hopped on and rode. The feeling I had after 3 months of no riding was so intoxicating. You, my good sir, are an incredible person that has touched so many lives. Because of that, so many of us now live our lives on two wheels. I really appreciate all you show us. Let me say this again; seeing this beautiful sporty on here again makes me so dang happy. Rubber side down!
Dont ever feel bad about being a fair-weather rider! There's nothing wrong with it. My only option for a few years was to ride as I didnt have a truck or car at the time. It kinda runs your riding experience when you Only have the option to freeze your ass off or deal with ape-shit driver's at the slight chance of rain. I now have a 2013 Iron 883 again for the first time being back on a sporty in 10-ish years, and now I only ride in fair weather conditions
I'm so happy to have the Iron back on Blockhead Channel. This brings so many memories when I subscribed to the channel with just a few hundred subs. Now look at this, over 165k. I'm happy to see the rise up for this channel. Keep it up Mr. Blockhead, ride safe and stay vigilant ✌️
@@charlesbelville5090 I'm 5'6" and they aren't much of stretch at all. I think its only a 9 inch difference from the stock mids. Harley makes "further forward mid controls" for sportsters if you need those. I think you get an extra few inches out of them. Or you could buy their further forward mid controls that give you an extra three inches or so and come with little floorboards.
It still sounds awesome. The drag bars looks way better but I’m sure the z-bars feel 100 times better. It’d be cool if you did a big bore kit on her. That was a good snag, to get her back. Enjoy
I’m so happy to see you with your OG Iron 883. You were the reason I have mine 2013 Iron 883..exact same look.. can’t wait for more to come with Iron 883.. as you say, stay vigilant ✌🏽
You know, first half of last Year, I was just thinking (like a lot) about buying this bike, watching your videos and want to know how it feels. In the second half of the last year i rode 13000 km on the new Iron 883 2018 and i am addicted to it. New season starts like one month ago and i already done 2500 km :) Greetings from Slovakia absolutely LOVE my first bike. Thanks for your videos it pushed me to buy one of IRons. Safe ride!
I was all for building a dyna when you got your FXDR but this is even better! I really love it when the universe does it's thing to good people!! Awesome Block!
Hammer Performance big bore kit is what you're looking for. I think it's a 1275cc. Some guys on XL forum are getting over 100 hp from their sporty. Dynojet Power Vision is the recommended tuner (I have one, it's better than the FP3 I had by far).
You know what they say, "If you love something, you gotta let it go. If it comes back to you, it was meant to be". Good to see the 883(1200) back with ya.
I bought my 2019 48 back. Traded in on a sport glide. A week later bought it back. Now street glide, sportster and a street bob in the garage plus a Yamaha fz 07
Bruh! You got it back! The learn to ride series helped me out before I went to my Motorcycle Safety course haha. And this channel was the reason I went with the iron last year.
This bike right here is what made me think Harley's were cool again. I'm so used to seeing old dudes on baggers in my town, they're hideous, nobody has these cool bikes.
this channel is the reason why i chose 883 iron. got mine now.. so happy to see u riding back your orig 883... my heart broke, watching your vid when u traded it with another HD last time.. really glad the 883 is with u again..
I got interested in riding last year and spent the season as a passenger on my Aunt's bike. Your channel was the first I started watching. Ms. Block also inspired me, I'm so glad she didnt give up on getting her license. I'm happy and proud to say I just got my license last month. I went with a 2018 Indian Scout and love it! Love your vids, keep doing what you do!
I have forward controls on my 2017 Iron and I can tell you it is soooo worth it. I’m 6’1” so I was pretty cramped with the mid controls. The forwards brought my legs out enough where it was much more comfortable without being too far and feeling like I didn’t have control. Definitely pick yourself up a pair!
My wife and I are new to riding. Only a few hundred miles seat time. We were late to riding last year and it's hard sometimes with weather in Illinois. Your videos definitely inspired us to want to ride more. Ms. Blockhead also. 🤘
My 2012 xl1200c is my baby. She is in the states while I'm contracting over in the middle east but man the plans I have for when I get back. Can't wait. Miss my two wheel life.

I remember when you hit your 1st one thousandth subscriber and was disappointed when you sold the iron. I am glad you have been reunited! Ride safe, Bro.
I know the feeling man. I had a 2007 1200C. I got rid of it years ago. I had a chance to sell the bike I did currently own and make some money. So I did and I bought a 2019 iron 1200. I missed sportsters so much. I'm glad to be back on one. They are so fun and easy to mod.
Iam so glad that your og bike came back to you! And yes! I like this view, keep the Z bars. You've got aggresive position on FXDR, there Is no need to have it on Iron aswell. Congrats mate 🤘👌
I missed the Iron....it's what inspired me to buy my '13 883 Iron....have since traded it on '17 Street Bob....I'm going to buy it back if it comes back to the dealer.....Ride and enjoy....deuces!
I dig the view and fwd controls are a MUST. I’m only 5’9” and kept 12s and fwds on my 1200. Even had to move the boards on my road king to match the comfort!
So incredibly happy for you. i wish i could get my 883 superlow back. First and only thing that i have every completely owned and paid off entirely myself. It was the motorcycle i started out on as well. Miss it often.
I live in the Orlando area too. These people drive like frickin maniacs! When I got my 883 about 3 years ago I found this channel. I was a little sad when you sold off the 883 but it's cool that you got it back. Mine is an 03 100th Anniversary edition. Still going strong. Wish I had more time to ride it. I'd like a bigger bike someday too but I can't bring myself to sell the sporty because it's my first Harley.
As somebody that gets emotionally attached to vehicles, completely understand! Congratulations! I still keep my eyes open for my 02 Fatboy i traded in 3 years ago and my 11 Tacoma traded 4 years ago!
Beyond happy for you to get your Iron back home. Those bars look really good on it, great view and certain it's way more comfortable - keep 'em!!! I straight up laughed/giggled at the old intro at the beginning. Enjoy riding the OG Iron again, Block!!

I put new bars on my '94 883 at one time, but they hurt my wrists, as well. I then installed track bars and I loved them. The grip portion of those bars had a greater angle that was perfect for my wrists. Anyone trying this needs to know the width needed going in to buy them.

Another vote to keep the z bars. They look tight!
I like the Z bars, but I've seen them shorter which look sharp. I'm prone to the drag bars, so the happy medium would be like a 6"-8" Z bar.

That’s totally why I said it, bc it’s mandatory 😂
If you dont say it then your load will fall off. Its a safety feature
This video made me happier than I care to admit. Congrats Block!
I'm happy to hear it, haha. Thank you!
BLOCKHEAD I love the Z bars. Looked at a wicked red one with the same Z bars. Not sure yet.. Tradin the Rebel

Not gonna lie. The iron is what got me started on the channel. I love how excited you are to have the old bike back.

Cool to see the original bike back maybe see some more custom mods done to it and maybe a 1250 kit or something.
I switched my iron to forwards recently. Makes the bike so much more comfortable.
How tall should you be to enjoy forward controls? I'm 5'10" so I dunno if my legs are long enough to need em.

I got a little twinge of nostalgia with the old intro. Maybe you should do a new version like this but with the FXDR.
Seeing as how the FXDR has a keyfob... it'd basically be me throwing a leg over it and hitting the on + run switch, lol
Cool! How often does a Harley Davidson dealer get to sell a motorcycle twice to the same guy? I'm happy for you. You should keep it.
I actually bought it through a private sale the first time, so they only sold it to me once, haha. Def keeping it!
It still sounds awesome. The drag bars looks way better but I’m sure the z-bars feel 100 times better.
