    I have the Topo 2.0 Stage 4 installed on my AWD van. I'm very happy with the rear suspension but, not so much with the front. I'm running the blue springs with the OEM struts and I get the dreaded top out issue going down dirt roads with small pot holes. It's very loud and annoying. There are plenty of other people over on the Ford Transit USA forum also claiming to have the same issue. To be quite honest, I'm pretty disappointed that you guys aren't more honest and forthright about this being an issue with the kit.

      And with no reply from them to your comment it makes me not want to purchase their kit.

      I just purchased a 2022 AWD high roof and am in the market for a lift. You have any recommendations?

      @@sandiegojody I ended up pulling my VC stuff off of the front and having the Q-Lift installed with the Bilsteins and leaving the VC Topo components in the rear. This includes the Falcon adjustable shocks, shock relocation brackets and mini spring packs, plus I added the yellow 2800lb Sumo springs. I think it's the best of both worlds.The VC rear stuff is really good but I think the Q-lift is just a better way to go up front. Plus with the Q-lift/Bilstein combo up front it's a little more lift than just the VC and it eliminates most of the rake and keeps the CV geometry closer to original. I may end up adding the VC lower control arms down the road.

    Will the lift kit improve the ride condition/comfort?

    I went 265/70 r16 on the wheels and the shaft does bind already, I will need to lift the van again once the full conversion done but I hate the binding

    Question: The strut spacer adds 3/4". Assuming the Bilsteins are the same length as stock; is the remaining 1 1/4" lift due to higher spring preload and longer/stiffer springs; adding up travel but reducing down travel?

      @AJourneyOfYourSoul 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly right. You sit lower in the stroke.

      Yes,=. Unfortunately this is the only way to lift an AWD Transit.

    When installing your kid on a 2 wheel drive T350 duly With the maximum tire size 215-85x16 is there any trimming of the bumper and pinch weld or pinch seem?

      No trimming necessary

    Agreed with a comment that was made down below.
    Love what you guys are doing and how in-depth you guys are going, but this video is alittle bit misleading as the Bilstein B6 is no longer valid to use for AWD 2020 Transits. One of your customers had major issues with it. Maybe a followup video would be appropriate?
    Would be really helpful if you guys could explain any possible work arounds.
    I read some individuals who suggested just having the Bilstein strut, no 3/4 inch spacer and having a stronger spring might be the most optimal solution. That way we get about 1 1/2" lift, a better performing strut, and avoid any binding by taking out the spacer.
    Would love to hear thoughts from you guys.

      The B6 still works for the 2wd so we are leaving the video up for now. We have info about AWD figment on our website. We are working to create a no lift strut spacer that corrects camber so our 1” coil and B6 strut can be used on an AWD van. The CV will just reach the diff point with this setup. The B6 has 1” more droop travel than a factory AWD strut and the coil bucket is about 5/8” higher on the strut. The lift will be just shy of 2” up front with the no lift camber corrected strut spacer, lift spring and B6 strut.

      @@VanCompass Any idea when this described solution for AWD van lift that accommodates B6 strut will be launched? Will pull the trigger on an install as soon as you release it!

    Is there any chance that these bilstein b6 fit under a “Ford transit custom” 2020?

    So on AWD don’t do the BilSteins?

    • @VanCompass

      Correct. No Bilstein on AWD.

      First the Bilsteins were recommended and sold as an approved part of the AWD Topo 2.0 kit and now they’re not. I just had to have my passenger side front drive shaft replaced because boot failed and was stuck up in the mountains for 11 days while local Ford dealer repaired my 2020 AWD Transit. $1,500.00 in condo rental fees incurred and 8 days of lost work income. I am awaiting a response from Van Compass customer service.

      @@VanCompass you should honestly just delete this video from TH-cam and make a new correct video.

  • @ShockService

    In another video you guys posted it shows that the front CV shafts bind beyond 3/4" of lift and that the diff cannot be dropped because of the short drive shaft. How is that addressed with this lift kit?

    • @VanCompass
      @VanCompass  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At full suspension droop plus 1 inch of additional droop the CV goes into a bind. We allow the suspension to droop to 3/4 inch more than factory with this lift to keep the strut out of a bind. This is now way to drop the front diff to improve CV angles.
