  • On my father's 90th birth anniversary, I remembered him and recounted his nature and some incidents. Hope it is inspirational. There are also some spiritual, dharmik and astrological pointers scattered in the video.

Just a small note, I cried and cried at the point you narrated the fact that he took the pains to do a dry run for your 3 weeks trip.....imagine his sense of love and devotion for his son...you are blessed.

I felt like being drenched in rain, a rain of dharmic thoughts and energies. What a great austere soul your father was! And Narasimhaji, you must be a great soul too, to be born to him. I consider myself - an unfortunate and suffering soul - but blessed enough to even come to know of great souls like you and your father.
"..never spoke a lie.." - I thought this was impossible in Kali Yuga, but yes, in Old Bharath there were such spotless souls.
Thank you for the narration, Narasimhaji. Feeling blessed. 🙏

Thank you for sharing details about your father who was truly blessed. My own dadaji, had a lot of qualities which you have narrated, he lived by his own rules, broke them where they made no sense, walked miles till very late in his lifetime, never borrowed any money from anyone, he was not embarrassed about his status in life because he knew that not one single penny was wrongly earned, simple living, had a witty sense of humour, did a lot of gardening even when he was in his 80s, stood like a rock behind his family and his wife and I could go on and on. He loved his children and grandchildren and did whatever was in his means.

Modern world: Consumerism, Success thrives on ego and individualism, regret at old age (some times at young age) with confusion about what life is and its purpose
Dharmic world: Do your duties as per Dharma, lead a simple life, spend most of your time for spiritual upliftment.
Living with few pairs of clothes, sleeping on the floor, eating at home and moderate food habits, respecting nature as oppose to conquering/plundering her for money was somehow rooted in olden Indian culture.

Secondly, the story is simply impressive that I got to know about someone who truly is great. Thirdly, some of the philosophical (spiritual related) points touch deeper into my heart and understanding, it gave further clarity into my thinking.
