I just love how clear each animals personality is as you make your rounds; whomever says they aren’t smart is clueless. I’m a huge fan of winter myself; Hopefully Red and JJ will get it on!
Oh i have the same feeling this channel just shows. That when people look after animals in a setting like Pete's or situations where people look spend the hole life looking after animals. Yes we eat them as time goes on but it's a relationship that works on a deep level than what people think
As a pilot, we used to say, "flying is hours and hours of boredom, followed by brief moments of sheer terror". I think you are probably right Pete. Our lives can be filled with days of boredom but then there comes that one day every so often that we will always connect with some milestone or some signpost that marks it in our memory forever. For you it was completing a tractor. For me it was getting my private pilot's certificate. We all have our moments in time that are special and will always remain with us. And hopefully that is what makes us all better persons. Thanks for your great videos.

Thanks for that little bit of reality and down-to-earth talk. It's always fun to walk with you as you complete your chores and interact with the animals on your farm! I especially treasure these visits as for 4 years I went to Ithaca College (IC) and that establishes a certain "kinsmanship" with the area in which you live. Upstate NY always held a special place in my heart before I went to IC, but even more so after attending that place back in the late '70's. While I can never go back, I still feel as I belong. Not sure if that makes sense. But thank you.

We're getting our new homestead a little bit better every time too lol! 🤣 Pete, we bought 40 acres of deep East Texas forest land and are trying our darndest to get LIVING there so we can start FARMING there... and you'll be with us the whole way. There WILL BE things done and things being done with YOUR advice in our ear... thank you, Pete. I only hope we can live up to the challenge... our videos are all renovating right now tho, no farming yet!!

Sunday mornings with Pete... Its part of my routine now. Im excited to see the latest tractor refurb complete... Those old rigs still on the job brings a sense of pride in America for me... They were simple machines , but last a lifetime. And in your case , they will last a few lifetimes. Gotta love it.
Some people have a good way with animals. I always wondered if that's why that biblical character Noah was picked to ferry all those animals to safety. All the animals look happy and safe on the farm.
One thing is certain, Pete loves to interact with his cows, his pigs and Turkeys when they have them, he loves to fix his older tractors, he loves his tractors. I hope he had a good day.
Pete your closing made me think of a quote coachPaul bear bryant carried in his pocket and he claimed to read it every day. I have a copy in my wallet and I do read it on a regular basis. "This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving something in its place I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, not loss - good, not evil. Success, not failure in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.

I've watched most all your video's, love the mechanics parts best, but over all there great. I'm older than you, my wife and I still garden, can veggies, hunt and process deer. I still raise chickens, think I'll try a pig this spring. But back to my point, I've followed and studied your Demeanor and philosophy in the video's, I find it delightful and educational. The best part, you know the old adage, not teaching an old dog, well its not true, I've learned so much from you that its reflecting in my everyday life and my outlook on how I deal with things and respond. Well, today is special for me because I made cranberry orange bread, not an everyday occurrence. Two loaves are a lot so I took one to the neighbor that brings my bin in from the street if I haven't done by the time he does. It's also special because it's going to be around 55F, 13C. (Do some folks use Kelvin?) So I am spending part of the day in the park, not an everyday thing this time of year for sure. Big storm coming next week! I love seeing the kids now and again; Gray is a charming young lady. Ah, I remember how the porkers would appear and disappear in the tunnels of weeds in their pen when they were small. I wonder if they remember how different the landscape was and how lively they were? The heifers were certainly enjoying that fresh water and nose irrigation. Patty was quite perturbed at the time it was taking for the hay to be jushed up, that's all. Once done, she silenced her minions. (For the next 20 minutes, anyhow.) I agree. I sold my grandads Farmall Tractor and all the equipment for $1000 and I regret it to this day.
