  • The 2024 LDV eDeliver 7 has arrived in Australia, where it's looking to shake up the all-electric Mid-size Van segment. Right now, the Mercedes-Benz eVito is its main rival, although the Peugeot e-Expert is waiting in the wings. Either way, it's an early arrival in a class that's traditionally been dominated by diesel-powered models.
So, what does the new eDeliver 7 have to offer? Well, its available with the choice of two batteries, with the 77kWh and 88kWh units delivering WLTP-rated driving ranges of 310-318km and 328-362km, respectively, on the combined-cycle test. Short and long wheelbases are also available alongside low- and high-roof configurations.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Senior Journalist Tom White gets a taste of the 150kW/330Nm eDeliver 7 to find out if it has what it takes to be the vehicle of choice for tradespeople and delivery drivers. After all, it has to be able to versatile, not to mention last the distance.

I really like recent ldv design.

This is a _really solid_ contender in the EV commercial space, let down most of all by its lack of configuration options. I hope if this does well enough that they'll let fleet buyers customise them more.

First thing you would need to do is remove the electric badges so you don’t have to have constant discussions with knuckle draggers. Dunno why the DCFC rate is so low however. No 2nd sliding door is a pretty big omission. The split front door windows is a throw back. No tailgate option is also a downer. No flip away roof racks like the Transit Custom.

6 monthly service fee on a high ace approx $900 don't take long for that to mount up in 2 years.

They should lean more towards its British Leyland heritage. Start by bringing back its vintage car emblem, probably will sell better

If you’re a delivery driver with a full load that quoted range will be halved, especially given how these EV makers lie and mislead about range. So charging maybe 2 times a day for me is simply not feasible or sustainable for running a profitable business. Time is money. No fleets are going to be interested in these expensive to buy, maintain, insure etc etc EVs. No rental companies want EVs anymore which says it all.

Did you just claim expensive to maintain… out of all things you pick the lowest cost of EV ownership and winning factor of EVs 😂😂 “Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus” comes to mind.

My neighbour bought a byd seal recently. Claimed 500 km. He got 420 with just himself and a couple of bags of luggage. Now, could you imagine one extra or god forbid a family of 4. Forget it.
Save your money and don't be fooled. If your a city dweller perfect, otherwise wait for a couple years when they can get the mileage.

So because it doesn’t suit your use case it’s hopeless? Dumbest comment ever. A van isn’t a formula 1 car either, it’s useless then

    • @theicedvulvas
      @theicedvulvas หลายเดือนก่อน

@@zoltrix7779 $15000 dearer than it's rivals and appalling resale guaranteed. You'd have to be a virtue signalling simpleton to justify this vehicle in any profitable business no matter what you're using it for.

Mileage is absolutely useless for a van.

Comments like this absolutely make me laugh. If the mileage doesn’t suit your usage, get a diesel. It would be fine for many many use cases.

I have no info, but I do drive an ev and love it.
It can do around 420 kms so the van mileage seems a little on the small side considering the distance these guys do, but I’m happy to be wrong.

I drive around Melbourne as a tradie from east to west and back mostly… that’s only 100km max - throw in a couple stop off small jobs. The range is plenty

Why don’t they put solar panels on top of the van. Charges as you drive!!
