Watched a few of your videos was going to buy an RV but no more. It’s just too much like WORK. I will fly , rent a car , tour and head home. Just me, can’t do it. Thanks for helping me make my decision. Enjoy.
If you read the instructions on that ninja air fryer...anytime you are air frying anything that would be greasy or cheesy, you are supposed to use the baking tray under it. There is enough space between the tray and the basket for the air circulation to get a good even air fry. We use this appliance everyday for air frying, baking and toast.
When I was a kid we had a Pop up camper very basic. I mean two beds and that was it! Dad would do the cooking on the fire and a Coleman stove. It was the best. Toast for breakfast he couldn't make enough! I love outdoor cooking and eating MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
Been using my Ninja camping for 2 years now! I love it because no extra propane tanks, can hook it up to the electric post front or back of the trailer. I do every from meats and veggies to breakfast cups
I’d like to say…looking at you cooking in an RV, and actually showing all the steps…wow to you! Most people don’t realize what it entails to cook a full meal like this one in an “RV”…what ever tool you are using, the RV factor always adds a challenge! Good job! It looks delish 😎
We bought the Ninja Foodi XL Pro 7-in-1 Grill/Griddle Combo and Air Fryer and it is amazing. A little heavy for the RV, but we carry it with us anyways and use it all the time at home. Highly recommend the versatility and ease of use / cleaning. Thank you for the videos. Keep up the great work.
Put olive oil on the wings and then mix some baking powder with your seasoning of choice. The baking powder will make the wings crispier. I would say like 1 to 3 ration. 1 part baking powder 3 parts of the season.
Similar, we make a slurry of corn starch and olive oil seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Lightly dredge your wings in that first. We also turn the wings several times during cooking.
I use baking powder along with the seasonings, making sure they are oiled first. My favorite wing seasoning is lemon-pepper. They crisp very nicely in the convection oven at 400 degrees for about 40 min. Good luck going forward.
I have found over the years that you don’t really need to oil the wings unless you are just trying to add a specific flavor, in which case using peanut oil is the BEST oil. Many of the best wing-restaurants recommend deep frying twice in peanut oil. I’ve tried that myself and they are delicious but it takes a very long time if you are making enough wings for a large family (like 6 people or more). I get the same if not better crispy results by just using the baking powder. The skin/fat provides enough grease to hold onto the other seasonings.
Easy way to turn a covered grill into a smoker is to place a small handful of wood chips in a foil pouch and heat until the chips give off smoke before placing food on grill. Cook as normal.
I'm glad this works for y'all. That is way too big for me. I have a Ninja grill/air fryer that I use because it bakes, dehydrates, air fries, roasts and grills and is not as large. I could easily smoke meats in it using an aluminun foil packet. I never use ANYfats in mine so the clean up is super easy.
Fantastic investment. A year ago we purchased our first small camper. Ninja wood fire was our first purchase. We upsized our camper the first of the year. Now we carry a Blackstone and the ninja.
Whenever we make wings I add a teaspoon or more, of baking soda or baking powder! Just put the wings in a bowl and sprinkle it over them. I mix with a spoon and set them aside to 'rest'. After 10-20mins I bake them! I rarely add anything else to prep and they come out about 30mins later nice and crisp! The family adds hot sauce or salt & pepper or whatever suits! I would say 1 tsp per pound, approximately! That's my tip! Hope it helps! I am trying to hear the name of the rub you created for the pork? I'd love to google the recipe for that! Thanks for this video, started following your channel today!
We have had ours since January...we absolutely love it...we put our blackstone in storage, This grill has replaced a lot of appliances. Our microwave in the class c is not convection so this has been our go to for baking . I honestly think it cooks everything in half the time .. we cooked meatballs today and they were outstanding! You have to try bacon in it...leave the mess outside. When cooking wings always use fresh not frozen..also make sure they are dry and just season them and put hot sauce on them the last 5 mins. Wait till you make ribs on the grill...AMAZING! As far as the pellets try the Kona pellets amazon has them in a variety pack. Another tip is to make homemade pizza.. get french bread and the toppings that you like...its endless what you can make on this. It might be pricey but I swear it pays for itself.
Hey you two! We also added a Ninja Woodfire XL to our arsenal of cooking devices late last fall. I was specifically looking for a similar sized replacement for our old Weber 1200 series Propane BBQ grill. The XL has approximately the same cooking area in square inches. We played with it at our sticks and bricks for a month or so before heading to Arizona and our usual Snowbirding spot. We took the Ninja this year as an experiment and left the Weber at home. (our good friends who have the next door site still have their Weber 2200 series so we knew we had propane backup!) For the most part, we really enjoyed it except for the cleanup! Those big grill/griddle plates and the roasting rack are a pain in the a$$ to clean in an RV sink. Plus, we didn't want the grease and grime going into the gray tank. We went through rolls and rolls of paper towels! I ended up lining the grill/griddle plates with foil and this mostly solved the problem without really affecting the cooking. For the rack, we ended up getting a big, plastic tub that I could fit the rack (and the grill/griddle plates) into at the Dollar Store. That way, I could add some water, Dawn and let it soak. Afterwards, I could water the cactus and surrounding desert plants. We experimented with the various modes and ended up using Roast with Smoke a lot! We cooked a Prime Rib that was to die for! Also, we purchased an Eight (8) Pack of Kona flavored wood pellets to try. Our favorite is the Fruitwood Blend. This is available on Amazon and gives you eight various flavored, 1lb bags for $40. As for recipes, check out "Cooking with CJ" here on TH-cam! He does some great stuff and has a series of E-Cookbooks just for the Woodfire line of grills! Bon Appétit!
Great tips! We are spoiled with the outdoor sink here at the Casita we are at. We have seen the Kona pellets and will try them once out Ninja ones are gone. We also found CJ and have tried a few of his recipes. Good stuff!
I have that same exact flip up air fryer and I use that thing daily! I can’t believe you didn’t like it. Yes, not a lot of counter space in the RV, but I use it so much I make it work!
We have had our Ninja for about a year now. You are correct it is awesome. Not as much smoke as my home big smoker but more than I thought it would be capable of. 5 stars
Love love LOVE this grill!!! After watching your video about it we jumped into purchasing one. I LOVE it, my husband loves it! So much so that the grill at our “stick and brick” is being donated and we’re buying another one of these for there! Thank you so very much for your review on the Ninja WoodFire Grill. What an awesome way to cook!
We love our wood fire grill so much! Originally purchased for our weekend adventures in the RV, but now use at home often. We considered replacing propane grill at home with the new XL version! We love the very well done wings and air fryer does them perfectly, but we do use the olive oil prior to throwing on.
Girl, do I have a great tip for enhancing? Add 2-3 teaspoons of powdered chicken bouillon! (Green lid, yellow label, red writing, brown jar), straight into the warm salsa. It will elevate your already over-the-top flavors. Warning: Serving it warm will cause you to eat the entire bowl. If you've already got the smoker on, throw some salt in a little dish, then smoke your salt for another flavor enhancement for use later. You'll be so happy you did. Our grill of choice is the tabletop Treager. I love to watch folks cooking and showing the necessary steps. Great video
My "fav" wing coating--Old Bay as light or heavy as you like. No pre-mixing. I use Ninja pressure cooker to cook wings from frozen usually. After pressure cooked, spray with olive oil, then sprinkle with Old Bay & air fry til they're a color I like. For your smoker, just sub Old Bay for spices you have to mix. Smoky flavor will be a plus!
If the smoker can get really hot, turn it up to about 400 degrees for 15 minutes or so to crisp up the skin. OR after you smoke them for a while turn it on as an air fryer, it will crisp the skin up really nice.
To make wings “crispy”, try a thin coat of baking powder. (About 2 tsps./10 wings -toss all together in a large bowl). You may have to experiment with the amount ratio since I don’t measure anything, I just ‘eyeball’ when I cook. Happy camping!
I have never found a Ninja product that I didn't love! I have the XL foodie, which is a grill, air fryer, oven and reheats! Great for the camper! Your stuff turned out great! PROUD of you!
After a trip to the nearby Amish market, we tried your smoked salsa recipe; wonderful. We used poblano rather than jalapeño. We’ve had our woodfire since we began full-time RV adventure just over a year ago. Love it. Till the smoked vegetables, we’ve used it primarily for meat.
This former San Francisco girl FULLY agrees! Room mates & I spent many a night studying & drinking the hot cocoa at Ghirardelli’s cafe!!! Many years before Starbucks was ever a thing, I’m talking mid -late 70’s.
I add a tablespoon of olive oil in a ziplock bag with seasoning shake until all is coated well. I then add a tablespoon or 2 of baking powder, and they crisp up real nice!
My favorite seasoning is liquid smoke. It makes everything from chilli to meat loaf taste like it was cooked over a hickory fire. Smells as good as it tastes. Stacy, you're a great cook! Phil is a lucky man. Safe travels to all.
Regarding seasoning for your chicken wings. I love McCormicks Garlic Parmesan seasoning, packets for air fryer chicken. I brush on a coating of olive oil on the chicken and then sprinkle the seasoning packet over the top. I put it straight in the air fryer. I have a 3 quart countertop air fryer perfect for one. I can get five chicken wings or four chicken thighs in there. I cook for 24 minutes at 350° rotating once halfway through and they are phenomenal. I love that seasoning. I think you will too.
I am also a very messy cook so I get it! Brownies in the smoker!!! Game changer! Everything looked amazing. Yes Phil- trust but verify! Safe travels you two! - Mike and Shelley.
GREAT video. Looks like you guys will master that Ninja. They make a LOT of good cooking devices. We have a few in our home, however any electric grills or appliances don't work very well for us as we LOVE to boondock. Our Adventure ready Blackstone and Treager tailgater smoker work FANTASTIC for us. We have a fifth wheel camper and they fit perfectly in the box of the truck. Hope you continue to enjoy life.
Use huge, super-sized metal salad bowl to mix spices. Toss meat in bowl to spread the marinade, then, zip-lock bag or cover bowl with plate or plastic wrap. Same idea for any dough -- use huge metal salad bowl to mix. Easier procedure, better mixing, no mess ! Works great for chicken, pork chops, steaks, even roasting vegetables. RVer's best friend: one over-sized big ole metal salad bowl -- doubles as swimming pool and space helmet...🤫
OOOH, I do love me a shiny Ninja product!!! I love the Blackstone too but do struggle that it is hard to get in and out of the motorhome! I've been wanting a compact smoker that I can use(my husband does not like to grill)
Already have a smoker, but that air fryer basket will work great on the griddle for veggies or offset cooking/warming. I hadn’t seen one that big before, thanks for the tip!
I have a Traeger at home and love it, so this seems like a fantastic choice. Gotta say when we are on the road, we use our air fryer daily, sometimes twice a day to cook, and it's been a fantastic addition to the rv. Ours is smaller than what you have and is basket style, also by Ninja. Safe Travels!
Wow! I really like the multi functions of the Ninja! I've been ready to move on from the single function Blackstone flat top... this looks like the "all in one" solution! If the Ninja fits in your basement, I know it will fit in ours 😊
I want to say Thank you for this video, as well as the more recent one about remote jobs. Both videos were almost immediate answers to prayer I had earlier today. God Bless you both!
Excellent video. I've owned the Ninja Foodi XL Grill for years and love it. It's smaller than yours, but I can grill, air fry, and bake with it. I use it for burgers, steaks, pork chops and kabobs, and to air fry veggies. Perfect for a family of up to 4. Mine has a temperature probe which you push into the meat while it is cooking and is great for ensuring burgers and steaks are done properly. Glad you two are doing well. Phil, how is your shoulder doing these days?
@@todayissomeday I am happy you are doing well following your surgery. I know too many of us Navy Vets that don't recover well from surgery as we get older. Of course, you are lucky to have a wonderful wife that spoils you and babies you when you are hurting.
Looks GREAT! And I didn't see ANY mistakes! Only complaint would be you didn't make enough salsa. ;) So I'm a Buffalo-ian and the wing recipe that started the whole wing craze is just cook your wings, then toss them in melted butter and Franks Hot Sauce (this is mixed together). You can add garlic or other stuff (parm cheese) if you want, but we like original best. You can make a blue cheese dip or just dip them in Ranch dressing and they are always served with celery sticks. And around here we just call them Wings. Safe travels!
Crispy wings = baking powder in with the spices. I use even amount of kosher salt, black pepper, baking powder and granulated garlic. mix seasoning is a bowl then add to a shaker container, add oil to bag of wings to coat, add as much of the seasoning as you like and shake bag to coat wings well. return to fridge and let marinate for at least 2 hours. Air fry
So we have the Ninja too. I love it. I learned that shutting the lid on raw eggs is not a good idea.. LOL. Made a mess, but fluffed them up. The fan stays on when closed. I'll not make that mistake again.
Frozen pizza on smoker is great and easy. Sams club and Costco have the whole pork loins cheap and make a great meal on the smoker. Shrimp and tuna steaks are another great meal. Welcome to the world of smoking.
Very interesting. What might have been helpful would be the power requirements for boondockers. What size generator or inverter would be needed to use it?
Great question. We have an 8k Onan onboard generator, so it will handle it if we need to fire it up while boondocking. While sitting here, we may run some tests to see what kind of power draw it has while inverting. I just looked up the watts (1760) and volts (120). It would draw about 14.6 amps.
We had blackstone. Too heavy. Too much trouble to get out to cook once. Replaced with cheapest, lightest Coleman propane grill. Easy quick to get out, clean & put away. Learned that the simplest the better. Don’t need fancy grill to cook steaks at an over nite stop.
Our camper came with a basic grill, the back of our TT has special ‘arms’ to hold it too. Hubby won’t even think about getting a black stone due to weight & size.
I saw the info-mercial on that a few weeks ago and was wondering how it would do as a RV smoker // Slice your ribs apart Smoke for about 1-1 1/2 hours on low heat Pull them off wrap them flat in foil sealing it good leaving one end open for wet ribs smother in BBQ sauce For dry ribs just add about 1/4 to 1 1/2 cup of water seal that end Put back on the pit until done take them out of foil Place back on the pit for about 5 min. just to crisp up the outside If done right the meat will pull free of the bone not leaving anything on the bone but a smell for the dogs
We’ve had it for a year and love it!! Haven’t made a bad thing on it yet. Check out Kona pellets. Bought the sampler pack. Oh always leave the meat on the bone. So much flavor
Broiling water poured over the chicken wings and add corn starch to your spices and after the internal temperature reaches the desired temperature increase temperature before you take them off.
No air fryer for this fulltime team of two....we have a Weber traveler that we absolutely LOVE, also a great thermo pen that reads the temps. Looking forward to seeing more videos on your Ninja Smoker!
Glad you found something that works for you. I'm vegan and live in a van, so that thing would take up half my living space! That smoked salsa looked great though. I recently had a few friends convince me to buy a small air fryer. I have to say I see no difference between air frying and baking in the oven. Just another garage sale item. Given your rig size and diet, that's a cool solution.
Space is a huge consideration when RVing for sure. Although, this thing is so cool, we would HAVE to make room for it because of all the things it can do fir us.
If you shake your wings in a little baking powder. Do not use baking soda. The baking powder draws the fat out of the skin. Your wings will come out very crispy.
You said you don't like the convection oven in your camper. An air fryer is a convection oven. Your grill merely has the smoke pellets added to it along with the wi fi bells and whistles. Neat toy. Great recipes though!😊
A big reason I don't like our convection oven in Ruby is it is up above my head. I don't like pulling hot things out way above my head. More afraid I will drop or spill on myself.
We saw this video and as a result and $600 later, we have the new Woodfire Pro and a new cooking table and a lot of other accessories. I have been watching "Cooking with CJ" for a long time as he has a whole bunch of Ninja grills and other products, including some cookers that I also use. His recipes are the absolute best for BBQ and smoking. Check him out - he has four different eBooks for a bundle price of $15 and there is every recipe you would ever like to make in your new Ninja Woodfire. Watch him and try some of his recipes. This is probably the most expensive Father's Day gift I've ever given my Sam, but he is absolutely worth it. We love your videos - we full time RV'd for 12 years and love to watch you younger folks doing it now. My husband will be 84 in December and I'll be 78. We made tons of great memories RVing.
We’re curious, what is involved with cleaning the Ninja? Obviously the grill, griddle inserts can be washed in the sink, but how about the basket and the Ninja itself? TIA
Phil, upgrade your microwave with an airfrier/microwave/convection oven, great move. Just remember what you did or how you mixed up your rub. Its a fun experience every time you smoke things. Smoked Crab legs. Obays and spray butter on them. 175 degrees for 45 mins, flip and spray butter again and reapply Obays for another 45 minutes. I have a pellet smoker at home and love it.
I was wondering about the stainless steel basket that you used to fry the chicken wings I don't see it in the Amazon links above. Do you know where to get this?
OK, what an amazing video you guys are awesome. I have the same system and I trench my chicken wings and cornstarch water. It’s kinda like thin wallpaper paste. You don’t want it too thick and you don’t want it too thin I also put lots of seasonings in it to boost the flavor. That’s what I do that doesn’t mean it’s right but my chicken wings come out nice and crunchy course. There’s a little bit of drippy on the bottom but it’s easy to clean up. Thank you for everything you do thank you for the great videos you guys are awesome. I’m glad to see Phil is doing so well, have a great week. Talk to you later.
Love my Ninja woodfire grill. I like to use the Habanero Mango or Habanero Pineapple Rib candy to toss my wings in and then give them a few min to caramelize. They are amazing...
Cooking with electricity has been the best choice for me. I could never get the perfect result using natural gas or propane. I've been using the Ninga Foodie both at home and on the road and it has produced amazing meals perfectly. I would seriously consider the Ninga Wood Grill but I'm concerned about the size, weight and cleanup. The Foodie has some weight to it but it is smaller and all the functions of the Wood Grill, minus the smoke capability.
It cleans up really nicely. The grill/grate comes off to wash in the sink. It has a grease tray that catches the juice/grease. It fits in our storage bay nicely. It weighs about 38 pounds but is compact for easy carrying.
I made some Mexican Salsa at work years ago. While I had it warming up on the stove they had to open the front, and back doors. They said it warming up was burning their eyes lol .
We love the Ninja too! BUT, If you think that’s a game changer- You GOTTA get the Ninja Foodie Pro 8-in-1. I don’t even use our cook top anymore. It bakes, slow-cooks, fry’s, sears, bakes bread, boils water. Etc… one pot cooking and SOoooo easy to clean.
The Ninja Foodi is great at poaching eggs, and even doing hard boiled eggs (no water, just the air fryer mode for 15 to 17 minutes, depending on your elevation)! The Foodi has taken the place of our Blackstone.
Hey guys! Wish we knew about this Ninja. We just got the Trail Fire Grill which is great but definitely going to tell my hubby about this!! Stacey stop grilling and let Phil do it! 😂😂Joke! You guys are too cute! btw... I followed you as "Seiry Colley" changed to this. Love your videos.
We never had a toaster oven. We had a Ninja 6-1 Air Fryer, the one we had on the outside counter. Not sure we did a video on that. We liked it in the beginning for its counter saving space when not in use. However, we didn't really use it for anything other than reheating pizza.
What a great video! I loved all the different styles of cooking choices and loved the playful Bantering 😍 . QUESTION PLEASE : I noticed each food item had to have additional time added before they were done. Do you intentionally set your cooking times shorter to check them for doneness or does your cooking appliance cook slower than you expected it would? I think the appliance will be a great alternative to having multiple appliances for saving valued "Real Estate space". I can relate 😂.
Great question. She was learning the grill in the beginning. It doesn't cook slower. When using the temp probes, time is not a factor. If anything, she would set the time longer, because it shuts off when it hits the time mark.
Watched a few of your videos was going to buy an RV but no more. It’s just too much like WORK. I will fly , rent a car , tour and head home. Just me, can’t do it. Thanks for helping me make my decision. Enjoy.

That we do now! Thanks!

Stacie, if you use a plastic knife to cut the brownies it will be a clean cut that won’t crumble.

Protip for mixing seasoning. Toss seasonings in anything with a lid, put lid on and shake. Really mixes and blends the stuff exceptionally well
Great idea!

So glad you two did this review. By chance we have gone through the exact evolution of cooking since started traveling. Now the Ninja is on our radar.
To make wings “crispy”, try a thin coat of baking powder. (About 2 tsps./10 wings -toss all together in a large bowl). You may have to experiment with the amount ratio since I don’t measure anything, I just ‘eyeball’ when I cook. Happy camping!
Thanks for the tips!
I have never found a Ninja product that I didn't love! I have the XL foodie, which is a grill, air fryer, oven and reheats! Great for the camper! Your stuff turned out great! PROUD of you!
Thanks for sharing!!
That is awesome! Glad it turned out good for you!
Wow. Talk about starting something NEW. On the RV so,eBay channel. Love it. The Stacy RV Cookng Show 😊😊
You might be onto something! LOL
Ghirardelli is the best! Also, I am with Phil on the no spice/heat. Everything looked delicious!
We agree!
That's a great idea!
My favorite seasoning is liquid smoke. It makes everything from chilli to meat loaf taste like it was cooked over a hickory fire. Smells as good as it tastes.
Stacy, you're a great cook! Phil is a lucky man.
Safe travels to all.
LOL Yes, I am!! She is a really great cook! We will have to check out the liquid smoke.
Just use a few drops. It can be added after cooking as well. It's usually in the condiments area of the grocery store.
Gonna check it out for sure, thanks!
My husband made the pork recipe yesterday and it’s one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
That is fantastic! I am so glad you loved it too.
I am also a very messy cook so I get it! Brownies in the smoker!!! Game changer! Everything looked amazing. Yes Phil- trust but verify! Safe travels you two! - Mike and Shelley.
I can still taste those brownies!!! Tie to whip up another batch!
We will check out how it will works while boondocking after we get back on the road. If we need to run the generator for a bit, we can do that.
@@todayissomeday If you have an invertor, what size is it. We have a 2000W, but we really have to be careful what we have running at the same time.
Thanks for the tips!
Indeed! It takes the place of a few appliances.
I just made my second batch of smoked salsa! I can tell you I am LOVING it!
I want to say Thank you for this video, as well as the more recent one about remote jobs. Both videos were almost immediate answers to prayer I had earlier today. God Bless you both!
Glad it was helpful!
Spray the wings with avocado oil to make then nice and crispy. It's a high heat oil unlike olive oil.
Sounds great! I am doing fine. I am four weeks post-op today. PT says I am way ahead of others with the same surgery!
Only complaint would be you didn't make enough salsa. ;)
So I'm a Buffalo-ian and the wing recipe that started the whole wing craze is just cook your wings, then toss them in melted butter and Franks Hot Sauce (this is mixed together). You can add garlic or other stuff (parm cheese) if you want, but we like original best. You can make a blue cheese dip or just dip them in Ranch dressing and they are always served with celery sticks.
And around here we just call them Wings.
Safe travels!
You got that right! It went really fast!!
Air fry
We will try it for sure!
Thanks! Pizza is on the list!!
Love that you blew on the brownies before you gave it to Phil!! So sweet!
She does love me!
it is the BEST !!! we got one a month ago and can not cook on or in anything eles now !!!
Right! We have used ours almost every day.
I got a spoonful of the salsa through the computer screen and it was so good
We're full-timers too and we love watching your videos!
Awesome! Thank you!
Now I am hungry!! LOL
We’ve had it for a year and love it!! Haven’t made a bad thing on it yet. Check out Kona pellets. Bought the sampler pack. Oh always leave the meat on the bone. So much flavor
Great tips. We did find the Kona pellets. They are in the cart!
Broiling water poured over the chicken wings and add corn starch to your spices and after the internal temperature reaches the desired temperature increase temperature before you take them off.
I made this yesterday. SO GOOD!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
We are so happy you made it and liked it!
We use the pit boss competition smoked seasoning and my husband smokes ribs using the 3…2…1… method and they are so good
Great tip!
Even with a pellet smoker, at higher temps you won’t get much smoke flavor. This thing looks great-fun food choices!!
It isn't heavy, but enough to taste.
No air fryer for this fulltime team of two....we have a Weber traveler that we absolutely LOVE, also a great thermo pen that reads the temps. Looking forward to seeing more videos on your Ninja Smoker!
We are weekend warriors but we have a Traeger at home. Roasted salsa will be the next thing we try.
You won't be disappointed!
Thank you for reviewing this product. We are going to buy a condo in Florida and this would be the perfect option for outdoor cooking.
Good choice!
To get your wings crispy pat dry and coat in cornstarch
Glad you found something that works for you. I'm vegan and live in a van, so that thing would take up half my living space! That smoked salsa looked great though. I recently had a few friends convince me to buy a small air fryer. I have to say I see no difference between air frying and baking in the oven. Just another garage sale item. Given your rig size and diet, that's a cool solution.
Space is a huge consideration when RVing for sure. Although, this thing is so cool, we would HAVE to make room for it because of all the things it can do fir us.
Use smoked paprika on wing and yes oil them. It's a win!
How a Blackstone is an upgrade to a Weber is beyond me. I guess if you prefer a frying pan over a grill.
If you shake your wings in a little baking powder. Do not use baking soda. The baking powder draws the fat out of the skin. Your wings will come out very crispy.
Wow, that's a big appliance. We use the 17" electric Blackstone. We don't have the patience to wait an hour+ to cook meals.
It is a smaller footprint than our 22-inch Blackstone. It depends on what you are grilling. If you are smoking something, it might take longer.
Have you ever tried those aluminum “air baked” pans for the brownies or cookie sheets. They are awesome and lightweight instead of the glass pans.
We will next time for sure.
I use: an instant Pot ultra mini, a stainless steel wok, and an air fryer.
I was going to say the same thing about the air fryer/convection oven thing.
That is awesome! Glad you two were able to make those memories on your terms! We do follow Cooking with CJ.
Stacy: have never seen you so hyper! Congrats on the Ninja success
LOL She was really excited about her new gadget.
Nothing wrong with that … perhaps I used the wrong word, please substitute excited for hyper.
I bought Release and it’s absolutely the best! I have one in RV and one in my house kitchen!
It really is!
We’re curious, what is involved with cleaning the Ninja? Obviously the grill, griddle inserts can be washed in the sink, but how about the basket and the Ninja itself? TIA
They clean pretty easy in the sink.
Thanks for the tip! The problem is, the microwave is above Stacy's head and she hates using it. A guys has to eat!! LOL
Alot of things are above Stacy's head. Ha ha
Oh my God you’re not going to believe this. I just got mine today. I bought it on HSN and it’s the same color and everything.
You are gonna love it!
I use ours to dehydrate bananas and apples. Looking to do beef jerky next. We love our ninja we got ours last year
My wife recently got me the Ninja Outdoor Firewood Oven. Phil will LOVE making pizzas.
Oh man! I just dont have room for anything else down in the storage bays!
Oooo I’ve been looking at those! Love my Ninja Air Fryer though, I use it every day ❤
This has replaced our Ninja 6-1 Air Fryer.
I was wondering about the stainless steel basket that you used to fry the chicken wings I don't see it in the Amazon links above. Do you know where to get this?
It came with our Ninja. You may need to go to the Ninja website to find it.
Coat wings in corn starch for crispy wings
Sounds great!
Just got ours today. Can't wait to use it!!!
I usually buy my meat bone in. Its moister and has more flavor
The only mistake you can ever make when grilling, smoking, and BBQing is if it’s inedible. You are doing great.
Just air frield some bacon in mine, mainly because it was already out and Blackstone wasn't. Turned out ok.
That is next on the list!
I made some Mexican Salsa at work years ago. While I had it warming up on the stove they had to open the front, and back doors. They said it warming up was burning their eyes lol .
Now, that's hot.
@@ejs6010 is “air fryer mode” the same as bake mode cause I don’t see anything called air fryer mode.
Love the step by step process great sharing keep sharing
Thanks!
Looks delicious. I have the 22in blackstone. and I installed a lid on it, and man, it is so heavy now. I'm bummed.👍🏻🇺🇲
Ours was as well. The foot print of the Ninja is smaller and they are the same weight. The Ninja feels lighter.
We just bought one 2 weeks ago. Love it. Did a tritip. Perfect. Omaha burger. So juicy. Can't wait to smoke a pork butt. Oh and twice baked potatoes.
The options are endless!!!
We wish we knew about it sooner as well. I am still on the mend. Until then, Stacy is loving her new appliance!
Where is your video of the combination toaster oven you liked so much?
We never had a toaster oven. We had a Ninja 6-1 Air Fryer, the one we had on the outside counter. Not sure we did a video on that. We liked it in the beginning for its counter saving space when not in use. However, we didn't really use it for anything other than reheating pizza.
Great video. Pick up some Meat Church or Kosmo Q rubs. You can get them online. They are awesome
Do you guys have a problem when cooking of stinking up the RV ? Could be a idea for a show ?
@@todayissomeday I relate. With any new gadget there's always a learning curve. I think she did really great 👍 👏
How’s the cleanup with all the drippy foods? Smaller batches in the air fryer to get more airflow around the wings?
It cleans up really nicely. The grill/grate comes off to wash in the sink. It has a grease tray that catches the juice/grease.
