I was hesitant to get the magna shades for ours because of the cost, but now with having them, it's so much cooler up front, and the privacy during the day is also a huge plus. Trust me, don't wash your roof yourself anytime soon with your shoulder. You will find out as I did that you weren't healed yet and will set you back.
“Holy Crap it only took 23 seconds to close” why will that be the quote I remember from your channel? Anyhow, it was all in good humor. Your channel is a beautiful amalgamation of relevant information, chemistry between the ‘characters’, and thoughtful, interesting segments. Not too long, not too short. Lastly, I want to thank you about your segment on Omaha Beach. My stepdad spent 16 months in a POW camp in Germany and when he visited in the early 2000s with mom people still remembered what the Americans did for them I appreciate your touchingand informative Reminder in another video you did. Unfortunately, the young and don’t remember the stories and how important the sacrifices our families made in war (As you well know well. And my salute to both of you) When you’re back up in New England, do reach out
Great upgrades. It's always better, or it makes it seem better when you take something as it comes and make some changes to make it yours. All good upgrades, and I agree they were warranted. It's amazing how a small simple change can make such a huge difference. Like painting the cabinets, huge difference. All the other changes, just as good. Especially the toilet seat. I almost think the bloopers are as good as the content, hey if you cant laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. God bless y'all and stay safe on your travels aroung the country.
Very nice modifications, we had magna shades on our class A they were great. We sold it in 2021 and are now in the market for a fifth wheel. Very nice job on the water filtration modification. Really enjoy these visits with y’all. Bloopers were the best part!
We have a 2020 Allegro RED 33AA. We have been fulltiming for almost 4 years. We have made similar improvements such as the new antenna/router from Mobile Must Have, Magne Shades, the Safe T Plus, step covers in Red Bay, etc. Additionally, we had our front tv replaced with cabinets, shelf added in small bathroom cabinet above toilet, and 3 shelves added in the closet. We are very content in our rig and feel right at home. It is perfect for us. Love watching your channel. It has helped us on many occasions.
Phil, you give me confidence to begin my full-time RV life. I am having a shoulder replacement and didn't know if I was going to be able to do it. I have watched as you have endured a couple of shoulder surgeries... thank you!
We have the same RV as you do, but it’s a 2014. We love it! However, storage is at a premium, and the shower is very small. We took out the horribly uncomfortable couch and replaced it with two Lazyboy recliner/rocker/swivel chairs and a wall of shoe storage cabinets from IKEA-a wonderful upgrade! We also have 2400 watts of solar and two Battleborn Gamechanger batteries. Need to add two more and change out the residential fridge that came with the RV for a 12 volt fridge so we can boondock much longer.
Loved watching this video! Great ideas (except painting the cabinets...LOL!). You forgot one mod that is totally worth it...the cabinet insulation. Thank you for sharing.
The slow close lids are awesome, and I don't think it will break like the old plastic ones. I'm not a fan of painted cabinets but I understand why you did it, those dark interiors are just way to dark. Personally I went with a Nexus Ghost 36DS with a glazed maple interior. When I was looking all of the interiors were dark and I knew it would look like a cave, mine doesn't. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
I enjoy your videos. Good upgrades to the rig. My wife knows that zip line in Puerto Vallarta well. We were on a Holland America cruise in 2018. My wife did the zip line with some friends that were on the cruise with us. Unfortunately, she lost her grip on the brake and when she regained her grip her hand was not in the correct position. It ended up between the brake and the bumper. She broke her hand. I love trip with memories.
Recently I decided to upgrade the appearance in the coach which like yours was definetly "overloaded with wood,". problem is finding the proper prep material, the stuff and procedures are all over the map. Your's looks to have endured rather well so I've decided to ask you about the prep prior to paint which is important. I have painted cars so the paint side of things are never a problem the prep is where I have zero experience, simply not a wood working individual as yet any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
Enjoyed the video and many of the items we had done as well. We added Rettrobands for peace of mind driving. Also, we filled out the cruise info so hope that means we got in.
Nice to see all your mods. We've done very similar mods to our 2021 33AA, of which I've already shared with you our enlarged bathroom wall cabinet. I'd like to share others, but the list is long. Maybe we'll run into someday in a campground.
Great mods! We love our class A, some of these will come in handy, we are not full timers (yet). We just signed up for the CRUISE!!! Hope there is still a spot available.
I saw how you store your flag pole. Mine is stored in the same place but I used black PVC pipe fastened to the wall to slide the flag pole in for storage.
Hey guys! Love the vid! always great ideas from you two. I have a Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32 CA, and I would love to add the Girard window awning you have. I looked on the website but it wasn’t clear to me which one you had installed. Would you be so kind as to share your specs? Model, style, fabric choice, size etc? That would be so helpful. Keep up the great work and vids! God Bless! 😎🇺🇸
Not really sure which one we had installed. They basically measured the window from the outside edge of one to the last one and wet from there. I think I ours is 110 inches long.
I love your channel and all your upgrades. We also have a Tiffin (2014 gasser) and I would love to cover some of the dark wall coverings with something lighter. We are not full-time, however, and when our rig is stored it gets really hot in there. Do you think peel-and-stick would hold up?
I used 1 x 1's at the top and bottom of each storage bin and used a few self taping screws through them into the storage bin itself. There was nothing behind the bins (make sure you visibly check to make sure you don't drill into something and damage anything). The peg boards were cut to they fit inside pretty tight, then screwed to the 1 x 1's.
We have 2019 Tiffin Open Road 36UA.... wanted to get our front chairs, (flexsteel) changed out because Tiffin says they don't make them any more and th emotor of my passenger seat going out as well as the bad upholstry. Is bunk house the best or not? We drove 2 DAYS down to RB only to tell us they had none. Also thinking of changing out dinnet for buffet, tables and chairs. We've been at this for 4 years but sometimes I feel so greeen. Hubby can't/wont do any repairs himself and I don't wish to spend our retirements paying for it. I's Precision repairs in RB good?? should I rely on bunk house for other repairs?? so tired of going through 3, 4 5, repair people🎉.!
The Bunkhouse has a big selection of furniture, new and used. Ask if they have anything in the warehouse. Precision RV is the real deal. We have used them for a variety of repairs and have not been disappointed. MSRV Solutions is another good team. Check the Facebook page, Tiffin Red Bay Roll Call, they have a list of all the outside shops and what they can do for you.
Holes in boats are similar to RV roof holes. I can drill one real quick in someone else's boat but will analyze for a few hours before drilling in mine.
New bigger mud flaps aided the tow car getting less damage, new louder horn, insulated doors make it warmer and quieter. Different light so you don't feel like you are under the sun. He moved the plugin under the table so we don't trip on cords. Just to name a few.
Now you just need to add a bidet to your new toilet. I put one in my motorhome and it was a very easy well worth it mod. My perfect RV is my 2000 Monaco dynasty with way too many upgrades to list.
Not sure thete is a perfect RV but we hope we got a good start with a 2025 Nexus Wraith. We plan making it our own by making changes, borrowing some of what we saw here
We did change the entire toilet when we first got it. Then we replaced the lid over time. It did come with the soft close seat, but the fluid leaked out causing us to have to reorder another one.
Odd, first you show the replacement mats on the front steps, then your wife shows the dirt catching carpet and it now covers the front steps. Having a wife is sometimes costly.
We felt the same with our Magna shade. I have been told I am not to go up there! I will call someone to come clean it.

Thank you for sharing. Hand Salute to your stepdad! The sacrifice's they made for us to live as we do today do not go unnoticed!
Love the upgrades and I believe I had watched most of em while they were happening. The bloopers are priceless. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Slow closing is the way to go. I have a slow closing toilet seat in my sticks and bricks. After 14 years it still works like new.
Phil, you give me confidence to begin my full-time RV life. I am having a shoulder replacement and didn't know if I was going to be able to do it. I have watched as you have endured a couple of shoulder surgeries... thank you!
You can do it. A little planning up front makes a world of difference. We scoped out the Physical Therapy place, then found the campground.
We have the same RV as you do, but it’s a 2014. We love it! However, storage is at a premium, and the shower is very small. Sounds like a great set up. We left the roof open for more panels down the road if need be.
Loved watching this video! Great ideas (except painting the cabinets...LOL!). You forgot one mod that is totally worth it...the cabinet insulation. Thank you for sharing.
You are correct. We did over look that area. Reflectix to the rescue!
The slow close lids are awesome, and I don't think it will break like the old plastic ones. Those are things you dont think about until after you move in and get it feeling like home.
Put some 3m clear film over areas around knobs after you paint then you can clean the high traffic areas easy.
Great idea!

Ouch! We hope it healed ok. We will have to do it now!!!!
LED bulbs throughout was one upgrade we did. Nice ideas!
Cool, thanks

We cleaned, sanded, and primed the cabinets. We had to re-do the primer as the first batch was a little to thin and watery. Good luck!
Enjoyed the video and many of the items we had done as well. We added Rettrobands for peace of mind driving. Also, we filled out the cruise info so hope that means we got in.
We saw the registration come in. Christina will be in touch soon!
LOVED this video, went to watch the storage shelf link in notes and it took me to the water filtration install. Would love to see the shelf details.
It is all in the same video.
@@todayissomeday I watched the entire video from that link and didn't see any mention of the shelf :(
We confused ourselves...here it is: th-cam.com/video/UUhYDZlZicE/w-d-xo.html
@@todayissomeday That worked PERFECTLY! Thank you!!!

We would love to run into you out in the wild.
That was a brilliant idea for your water filtration system.
Thanks a ton. We try our best to use all of our useable space.
Im saving this video to look at later when we get our next rig. Ive done this before with your videos
Thank you!
Brilliant upgrades! Everything looks so good on your rig.
Glad you like it!
Great mods! We love our class A, some of these will come in handy, we are not full timers (yet). We just signed up for the CRUISE!!! Hope there is still a spot available.
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome aboard!
@@todayissomeday Thanks Shipmates! SURSUM AB ORDINE
Why would you put a tstat inside a cabinet? Is there a seperate room temp sensor or do you leave the cabinet open all the time?
The temp sensor is in the middle of the both rooms.
I saw how you store your flag pole. Mine is stored in the same place but I used black PVC pipe fastened to the wall to slide the flag pole in for storage.
Great idea.

It would certainly make it brighter if you went with a lighter peel and stick. Try it, if you don't like it, peel it back off.
white makes it brighter more inviting ;)
Thank you!!!
Love the way you love Ruby!!! 🎉❤
She's the BESTEST!
Thank you for sharing these great upgrades! Great information
Glad you like them!
Its important to think about!! Its time to move into a catamaran! You both like the water and you can sail anywhere! Have fun!!!!!
Fantastic Ideas! Thank you for sharing. Copying many of them
I am amazed such a top line RV needs so much and expensive upgrades
Just like any home....you have to make it feel like HOME.
Where did you find and buy the steering wheel table, that is awesome! I can’t seem to find one however
The info for it is in the description box below the video.
Great video. I spied a jug of Release in your storage area. How do you like it and whats your favorite use for it?
We use it all over the rig, inside and out. It does work great on bug guts!
Where did you get your "Glamping..it's what I do" Tshirt?
Liked the video. Good info
From our store on our website: merch.todayissomeday.net/todayissomeday/shop/home
Stacy, this has become too easy for you! Love the rapid fire humor with the RV upgrades sprinkled in……
These are terrific tips & ideas, wow! 👏Lots of good upgrades for sure 👍 😀
The shades are a great idea!! I love it!
Thank you!!
How did you attach the pegboard in the storage area?
I used 1 x 1's at the top and bottom of each storage bin and used a few self taping screws through them into the storage bin itself. There was nothing behind the bins (make sure you visibly check to make sure you don't drill into something and damage anything). I went with whole house Reverse Osmosis!!!!
Probably spent less than the average.
Worth it?????? YES!!!!!!!
If it works for you, then it's always a good upgrade!

HAHAHA. that's really funny video editing... you have a twin. great video guys
Thank you so much 😁
stabilizer our best upgrade
Enjoy your videos! Out of curiosity, what year is your motorhome? Thanks!
It is a 2016 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA.
Thank you!
Great video and newsletter as always Phil and Stacey! Walker is adorable 🥰 🙏🇺🇸
#Maga
Thanks so much
Enjoyed your video. Thanks! Which La-Z-Boy model did you choose?
You have stumped the chump. We got it a few years ago now. It was a rocker/recliner and we had them add the swivel base. Well, worth it.
Great video. Love it! I learn a lot. Thank you1
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job Lauren. Wonderful video. 😅
Thank you!! 😁 Who's Lauren?
Another great video…especially the bloopers!!! ❤

hi, very nice ideals. I would like to know where you can get the steering wheel table?
The link is in the description under the video.
Loved seeing Gizmo ! RIP
Thanks! We miss him everyday!
Great share and s0 informative . Wife passed almost a year ago. I’m military retired . Hope to see y’all soon
Thank you, Ron. Sorry for your lose. We hope to see you out in the wild.
Do y’all have retrobands?
We do not.
Where did you source the recliner?
It is a Lazyboy.
We used wasted space beside the dinette to create a water filtration station for a Brita dispenser.
New bigger mud flaps aided the tow car getting less damage, new louder horn, insulated doors make it warmer and quieter. Different light so you don't feel like you are under the sun. He moved the plugin under the table so we don't trip on cords. Just to name a few.

The link to the floor decking is not working. Just an FYI.
Thank you for letting me know. Here is the corrected link: amzn.to/3RblnPa
I like wood. But, all the same tone would drive me crazier. 😅
Hi, did I miss something, where is Gizmo?
Yes, Gizmo passed away 2 years ago. He was 15 and lived one hell of a life!
great info ')
Glad it was helpful!
Phil needs some toast since he jams
HAHA
FYI you don’t have to change the whole toilet - just change the seat.
We did change the entire toilet when we first got it. Then we replaced the lid over time. It did come with the soft close seat, but the fluid leaked out causing us to have to reorder another one.
The shears are a negative.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Odd, first you show the replacement mats on the front steps, then your wife shows the dirt catching carpet and it now covers the front steps. Having a wife is sometimes costly.
I had to cut a milk crate in half and place on the truck floor so the wife's feet will set on something. Maybe a thought for your toilet?
❤ nice t-shit!
