I'm a Mustang guy. I'm happy to see Scotty put his seal of approval on it!
Because he aint felt that rear axel yet lol
Love the way this car sounds, driving and idling. Definitely a real Mustang!
My good friend has a 2013 BOSS 302 gotta have it green… and he is in love with the car. He said he would never sell it.
Best part of this Car it's a proper Manual 🇺🇸👍
I'm down to three Mustangs which are manual, my 72 shortbed GMC has an automatic transmission.
Nice and No stupid electric parking brake!!!!
My 2003 mustang has only 57000 miles! I’m the original owner. It’s only slightly modified with an automatic. Car has been good to me and I take good care of it.
Now that a real car. Very cool.
My son just bought a low mileage 2019 Bullitt with the 6 speed manual transmission. Color is black. They built 808 in black.
It's definitely a fun car.
If anyone deserves a fun toy to play with its Scotty ,all the people he's helped and taken care of over the years ,hope you have a blast with it Scotty !
I was always told not to buy Fords, but my one and only Ford was the best vehicle I ever had. 95 E-150 van. Had it for 5 years, and only did regular maintenance and 60 seconds to change a heater core.
60s... 😂😂😂 I don't believe that... 😂😂😂
I dont think it was 60s but im suprided to say its known as a few minute fix as long as you have their specialty tool
@peterpanini96
I had a few ford mustangs and I ABUSED them as my daily's, and I mean ABUSE
Had to replace my warped brakes once after 5 back to back burnouts getting my brother to learn how to do it
@@peterpanini96 Oh it is likely slightly longer. The heater core used to be accessible by having the glove box door open all of the way. Maybe four small screws / bolts later, the heater core would come out. Granted the engine side heater core hoses should be disconnected first. Plus, the coolant should be drained too. But true, a minute or two of time to pull the heater core. The Mustangs have to remove the whole dash, loosen some other screws / bolts under the HVAC encasement, then its heater core can be replaced.
@@robertfirl8828 Sure, 60 seconds in a van. For a car, they lay the core on the ground and build the car around it.
You always cheer me up love your channel 😂 brilliant keep up amazing work!
$3500 because we were on the GOLD standard with the dollar.
$3500 is about 1/2 the yearly salary of a grade school teacher back then so still a significant cost for someone back then.
@@raykettel1837 2020 a gov contractor job I had used WDR from 1969...mustangs were 3k back then...30+ k when I bought mine
I think that was the last year we were on the gold standard???🤔
None inflatable currency
Yep, thanks to President Nixon.
Johnson escalates the Vietnam War.
I hate Republican and Democrat politicians.
My Mustang GT 4.6L SOHC came with a 1000 dollar radio and I told the owner just to take it out and put a regular radio in it. I hardly ever turn the radio on because my music is the engine. I love listening to it.😂
You can keep the 1000 radio and what you do is not turn it on. 😅
Like a loud pipes Harley Davidson
Great video Scotty! Enjoyed every minute 😂
I am on my 3rd Stang. I love the 5.0. Plenty of power and reliable
Scotty I love that Boss 302 so have some fun in that mustang for me Please! Say safe. And God bless you and your family 😇.
Thanks for sharing, a good mic would be nice to replicate that engine sound to us non mustangers
Great review! 👍
I wouldn't mind having a Mustang with the 3.7 V-6 and the older manual transmission. They are fast enough and usually they haven't been driven as hard as the GTs are.
I have one and it's my baby. Definitely get one if you're considering it
"OH WHAT A FEELING! NOT A TOYOTA! One of the best parts of this video post! Thanks Scotty!!!
Mustang: The official car of 'Hey watch this...' (crash)
To the people that don't know how to drive a Mustang, hey watch this, and crash any rear wheel drive car with power. Get back into your Maxima, Corolla or Civic and leave the Mustangs to the professional.
No, thats Corvette.
@@fast-eddyflat-hed8336 I assume you think you're the professional? Cringe.
@@TeeIeh Zero for one cowboy... It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car, you better learn that. 😂*CRINGE 😬
That was an original one...
"They were telling me, 'SCOTTY DO A BURN OUT'"
"I said, 'I can't we're at a police station'"
"YEAH AND WE'RE POLICEMEN"
THAT GOT ME GOOD
😅😅
I've had a ton of Mustangs, from foxes all the way up to today. My 2020 Roush is the last one I'll buy, 750hp is more than enough for the street for me. Good stuff sir!
But ppl nowadays are pushing 1000hp as the starter for flex, street and drag race scenario
@@amarbinay6654 My 750hp is useless with DOT soft compound street/track tires... A 1000hp doesn't do anything but spin and go up in smoke on the street. Unless you're very knowledgeable and modify the suspension/and have slicks, a 1000hp is useless and is way too much...
@@fast-eddyflat-hed8336 can't say anything when a 1000hp SUV pull-up and chase supercar on Highway at midnight hour. Which I used to do
@@amarbinay6654 Gotcha, but I'm talking about Rear Wheel drive CARS, not trucks or SUVs or all wheel drives cars or Dumb electric cars. I'm talking about rear wheel drive cars, where it actually takes talent to drive them without winding up in a ditch.
My 2919 GT gets loose on Michelin Pilots. I can’t imagine 750 horsepower jeez
Scotty, you amaze me!
fellow at ford at the time said that he was told by some higher ups at ford that it was underrated with the track key. supposedly put out more in the 485HP range. they really do move.
Sweet ride, Scotty 😂
6:25 Intersection of Tiny Town and Tobacco Road, Clarksville, TN
love this Boss 302. this would be my choice if i ever sell my 99 C5 Hardtop which also has the 1-4 skip shift which gives great gas mileage. i don’t mind it. i’ve read many C5 owners removed it. i average about 24 mpg, straight highway i get 30-32 mpg on 93 octane Mobil gas.
Fun car however the clutch doesn’t have to be stiff/hard to push to be affective for track use. I’m a Pontiac guy & I most definitely know HP & especially Torque. We had a like new 1979 Trans Am with a recent at the time, built for racing 480+hp 500+Lb Ft of Tq RamAir lV Pontiac 406 V8. I put in Summit Racing subframe connectors and a Centerforce Dual Friction racing clutch. The clutch had similar pedal feel as stock however gripped far greater with no compromises. That was in 1993/94, nowadays I know Centerforce is one of the leading manufacturers in hi performance clutch kits and are very reputable. Have your guy with the Boss do his homework on a new improved proven clutch, he won’t be sorry. We weren’t, especially every Track Night.
Just wondering what do 6pm think of all the car coating,s Will they ruin your paint ?
You don't seem scared Scotty 😅, looks like your having lot's of fun driving that beautiful beast.
One code I have on mine is a evap leak couldn’t find one even with a smoke leak test
question... my 07 honda accord has been jerking or studdering when accelerating past 50mph or 3000rpm( P2647 and P0420 )and I was wondering if this is something that can get fixed with some seafoam fuel injector cleaner or if its my catalytic converter and i have to use some cataclean??? or if its both can i mix the seafoam with cataclean???
"My foots already sore and I've only been pushing the clutch for 30 seconds." 😆😆
Hey scotty, is the 1996 Cresta a good car?
Were you to scared to take to your drag strip, lol ,I was waiting
It sounds awesome.
Scotty, didn't John DeLorean have something to do with the Corvette introduction during his time with GM?
That’s a souped up baby seat 💺 😆
Looks just as good as the mustang 😄❤️🏆
Thought Lee Iacocca came up with the Mustang.
@@nodayatthebeach - Along with Carroll Shelby, if memory serves.
Lee Iacocca came up with the idea the Gen 1 Mustang it was designed by a lot of people, the first Mustang was built on a Falcon chassis which was Fords compact affordable car.
I was just reading up on the Gen 1 Mustang a few days ago, back then you could get a basic daily driver Mustang, inline 6, manual trans or get a sportier version with a V8.
@@navret1707Shelby wasn’t involved in the creation of the Mustang. He did however create the iconic Shelby Mustang
Shinoda was brought in 1968 after Ford hired Bunkie Knudsen as President away from GM. My understanding has always been that Shinoda was responsible for the (physically) big Mustangs in those years (BOSS 302 & 429, Mach I's, etc).
"The Deuce" was ultimately responsible for firing all three men (Iacocca, Knudsen, and Shinoda). He must've been a real PITA to work for.
Larry Shinoda is the designer of the original ‘69 and ‘70 BOSS 302… If I’m not mistaken, he designed the Corvette Stingray at GM, and when The Ford brass hired GM’s Bunkie Knudsen over to FORD in ‘68.. he brought Larry Shinoda with him …and they named the car ….after the new boss man BUNKIE…that brought Shinoda to FORD!
I wish FoMoCo would pay proper tribute to the Mercury Cougar! Scotty, did you ever drive a GT40?
Would he fit inside such small car?
I wonder what Scotty would do on the track with the Boss 302 ?
6 speed with 440 Pony powers 😮
That would be so much fun out in Nevada, Montana, West Texas. Texas posted limit 90 mph. Nevada, Montana had to post a limit because federal government asshats insisted. However no points tickets 👍🏼
0 to 160 in ? Getter done son! 😎
You look like your having fun,Scotty!
He is
excellent video clip. nice to see Fords are not all bad. !!!
On the money as always
@1:40 I do this with my 2007 P71
How to make Scotty smile.😊
Remember the slave cylinder is inside the bell housing.
In the 70’s a Neighbor built a Cuda w 4 duces - got 3 gallons to the mile 😂
I put a stiff clutch in my built 55 Chevy, so my wife wouldn't wanna drive it. HaHaHa
Nice 2012-2013 Boss 302 Last of the great 8s
When I was in high school a kids dad bought him one of these new. His father had so much money he told him pick anything at the ford dealer. He didn’t crash it but he destroyed it
I have a 92 Geo Metro convertible 3 cyl. 5 speed. 57 MPG. My other car is a Chevrolet 2002 SLP SPECIAL EDITION CAMARO SS WITH11K MILES ON IT. OF COURSE IT DOESNT GO TO THE GROCERY STORE. LOL.
First Boss 302 came out in 1969..$3500 is about $30,000 today
Fuel mileage we get smiles per gallon not miles per gallon 4 to 5 average 2 if your on it 1967 chevy 2 383 stroker.😊
Wow sounds Boss
I'm yet to have a stock NA mustang to "scare the crap" out of me to this day.
Should. Try new mustang. 8 sp. Ouff. Nuts. Had. Those. At where. I use to work. Those are scary also. Tire cost 2 much and 2 ez. To spin. 😮
Yeah a japanese guy designed it Only based on what Ford through Lee Iocca, Carroll Shelby had already accomplished decades earlier!
Might wanna get that straight Scottymoto
Take your own advice....Shinoda was responsible for the '69-'70 BOSS 302....nothing to do with Shelby "decades earlier."
Gotta teach your kids young too. I see that car seat in the back of the car
Scotty should wear "depends" daily. He gets "the crap scared out of himself"on a daily basis! 😂
No drag strip?
Manual transmission is probably the best anti-theft device around.😂
Scotty is wild 😂😂😂 “a guy like this” ROFL
that engine sounds great but i still want to listen to ac/dc
Still waiting for Scotty to take it to his little drag strip.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Scotty was 16 again😂
As a bmw owner with burble exhaust I feel attacked 😂
And you should 🤣 get a mustang 😂 Scott is great .
@@mayor3185 my father has a supercharged mach 1 that is very obnoxiously loud… doubly attacked
Yeah, that noise.
Now all you gotta do is find a crowd ! 😝
These facelift S197s are my favorite of the Coyote era, especially the 2014 GT500. The only downside was the interior.
Back when Fords were decent cars
No thanks on the crowd killer lol
My stock Tacoma TRD off road 4x4 gets 13 mpg 😂
what the heck scottie you didnt punch it.. you finally get a car worth punching and you didnt punch it
Just sitting here listening to the exhaust note for the entire video…
Scotty spraying all over the interior of that car. Say it don’t spray it Scotty!
That is a nice Mustang 😎👍
scotty you so much as simply take the mufflers off this thing, it’s gonna pop and burble 😂😂😂
Awuh! No burnouts?
Id never buy a used one of those. People beat the crap out of them.
The price would have to be really good so I suppose an older model. You definitely don't want to buy one that was leased where you know they were beating the hell out it for 30k miles!
You need to test drive Rimak Nevera (faster car in the world)
5:10 Worse clutch experience I've had was in a loaded flatbed big truck on incline, waiting for the light to change at an intersection in the mountainous region of Pennsylvania.
Another great video.
Wow! Kudos to the owner for stepping right into a racing clutch. Now get that man a normal damn clutch so he can really enjoy driving that car. He shouldn't need a racing clutch for a 400+ hp car.
What should scare the hell out of you about this car is its ability to stay on the road.
Is that a child's carseat in the back seat?
Did he say what year this was?
Think he mentioned that it was only 12 years old so I guess maybe a 2011-2012
I prefer manual transmission, I’m so envious of European and Asian drivers, I saw a video not too long ago where an older lady lady from England was handing her equipped with a manual transmission like it was second nature. You can’t even buy a manual transmission car anymore unless it’s a super expensive luxury or sport car. It almost brings me to tears
Toyota offers them but other then that your right. It’s sad
must be a racing car seat in the back......................
A powerful engine needs a manual transmission, to perform as it is intended to be.
❤ NICE ❤. Love Muscle Mustangs and love those Tennessee roads 🏁🏁🏁🏁
They don't make em like this anymore....
Noticed the child car seat in the back. Bet that kid gets a kick out of riding in the Boss 302!
Gotta be under 6 foot to fit in it.
Thought he was going to show himself driving a Ugo
I hope the guy who bought This boss didn't try to cheap out the original owner, car is in mint condition especially engine og owner definitely made some money from this.
Could have bought any muscle car through the PX when I separated from the army in 1970. Ahhh, hindsight.
Ended up with a 1986 Corvette
anyway.
Almost bought the exact replica (decals and all) of the red Ford GT40 Roadster 427 side oiler that Ken Miles drove to win Sebring.
Scotty would you like to review my vehicle?
I swear he has more energy than David Lee Roth
Except Scotty does not Dance like Dave😊
