Nighthawk has the smallest footprint since it’s just tall. The rest take up much more space. Nighthawk looks sleek with lights off. With the LEDs, the Archer GE800 looks best. ASUS routers look beefy
What’s the biggest difference between the rs700 vs rs300, I know the amount of speeds are gonna be better on the 700 what are the antennas and other equipment about the same?
The ports are quite different. The RS300 has a 2.5Gb WAN port and four 2.5Gb LAN ports, 2 being aggregate. And then yes, speeds, coverage, connected devices is all less.
How about build quality and reliability? I’m looking for a new router and I was about to choose tp-link bs800 but then I saw lots of complaints on Reddit about quality issues, dropouts, lack of connectivity etc.
I’ve had this question for a bit but it popped up in this video here, how do the 10Gb “aggregation” ports on the Archer BE800 work? Do I get 10Gb out of one when only one is used, and 5Gb out of both when both are used?
Not sure I understand, The 10Gbps port allows speeds up to 10Gbps. Assuming the other devices are capable of those speeds. Aggregation is not required. In my case, my Internet speeds are 5Gbps, so that's what I get out of it because the router allows up to 10Gbps on those 10Gbps ports. So if my internet speeds were 10Gbps, then I should be able to get 10Gbps out of this router via Ethernet.
I’m trying to find out the max speed tests. Just a heads up, I have a ton of IoT devices that are enabled. If the cameras detect motion, they will record and upload to the cloud. However the main stuff are not in use so I can see how fast the routers can go.
@@landpet Max speed doesn't apply to real speeds. In most cases after you turn on QoS / IPS / IDS it goes down around 40-60%. No one want to use it without proper security, right ? If you do not turn it on I see here only another advertise
Does anyone know if an Orbi R870 can be connected to a wifi 7 router? I have an RB870 and was wanting to upgrade to wifi 7 for certain devices but still use my RB870 for general devices like iOT. My fiber is being upgraded from 1GB to 3GB and thought I would upgrade. Just wondering if it's possible or not.
Orbi usually don’t play nice either others. I forget if the Orbi has access point mode or not, if it does, then it should work but sometimes there are issues with those setups.
Tp link one is good in hardware but sucks on software as an example it does not allow account and password set up for OpenVPN and wire guard. Also in terms of smb on USB external drive it does not allow more than one admin account to be set up and also no option to set limitations to which folders are allowed read and write to different users.

Ok one question. Do these routers replace the ISP router? Or how do I do the installation.
All of them look like they have a huge footprint. Which looks the best with the lights off?

RS300 is basically a lowered spec version of this RS700
@ I’m replacing my Orbi RBR40 with the NIGHTHAWK RS300, I only have 1gig fiber should be OK. I think I wonder if I notice a difference 😆

Your tests and comperes are useless until you put your network under load and turn on all security systems like QoS/ IPS / IDS firewalls etc.

Nothing better then UTP cables

TP-Link doesn’t have the features like ASUS
