Had this one all through my career as a prison officer, still going strong 7 years after retirement, also in world time mode if you press the adjust button and light button at the same time the digital display swaps with the hands
Thanks for sharing your experience. I know I wear this one as soon as I see I'll be doing "grunt work" and it has never failed me. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
@@timetowatch_francois Good simple watch. Strap is the weak point, I am on my 3rd. Also I find the night illumination a bit strange. The hour hand looks bigger than the minute hand.
Does it has the same strap as Casio AD-S800WH Tough Solar Watch. I wanna replace the band but its not available in the market but the band for this model is available, Kindly advice.
Hi @@Sardar.Asad77, that’s a good question. I’d have to look further into that. Until then, you may want to try to see if the Casio Support Services team can help you: www.casio.com/intl/support/ Thanks for your question and thanks for watching.
Absolutely ! On top of that, it’s built tough and light on the wrist so when we work on the pool, the yard or anything that needs an effort, it’s as if it wasn’t there. Thanks for your comment and thank for watching.
I own this watch,it is amazing, i like that it is solar powered so i don't have to worry about buying a battery for it,it's awesome i give it a thumbs up 👍
Yes, totally agree. It’s my “go-to” watch when I’m outside working on the lawn, the garden or the pool. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
I bought this at a JC Penny, it said G-Shock on the display, and the box this watch came in also said G-Shock, so I thought it was a G-Shock. I even told the lady behind the counter at the store that i was looking for a G-Shock and she sold me this Casio. Can't blame her when Casio packaged this watch in a box that says "G-Shock" on it.
Oh! 🫢 … I didn’t even know it existed! I just looked it up and … 🤩👍🏼 A nice Summer look-n-feel to it. I hope you put your hands on one some day 🤞🏼🙂 Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
This is a great watch for the money no question which is why I got one in the gunmetal grey/black combo. Had it for a few years now & it's been great no issues at all other than the tough solar marking on the top has rubbed off somewhat which is no big deal.
Thanks for sharing. That gunmetal grey and black combo must look fantastic. I still have mine and is my go-to for all outdoor stuff. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for your question; indoor light is less efficient but it works. I keep my solar watches in a watch box that has a transparent cover and they all stay fully charged. However, once every month or so, I put them on a window sill facing the light when it’s bright but not sunny … never leave a solar watch under direct sunlight unattended … you’ll fry the circuits at some point. Hope this helps. Thanks for taking the time to write.
@@timetowatch_francois it looks like with very little sun light exposure daily, battery level stays in HIGH . Also the watch itself has battery saving techniques like putting digital display to sleep when not exposed to light for a longer time. Display comes back live once the light hits the dial or you press any buttons. I like this watch and recommend it to everyone. Only con is if you have a very skinny wrist the watch will look very big on your hand.
Okay, so here's a question as I can't really tell - is the outer shell of the casing resin? Or is it something else (and likely why it's not called a G-Shock).
Hi, @@nukedathlonman, yes, it’s resin. It can’t be a G-Shock b/c it doesn’t go through the same rigorous testing process. For example, this one is 100m WR as opposed to 200m WR, and the tech behind the analog hands is not specifically designed to “float” to resist impacts (Tough Movement) or vibration tested (Gravitational Shock … “G-Shock”). Quite frankly, I treat it just like a G-Shock and it stands up on its own and can take a beating like no other. Let’s say it has the G-Shock DNA at its core, which is still a Casio 😉 Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
This watch will give you great value for such an affordable price. solar charging so as long as you give it a good dose of sun or light source, no battery replacement. It is also accurate and is Casio durable. Has great complications if you use them.
I was hospitalized, and this watch ended up in a dark bag for seven weeks. Even though the main charge was gone, the watch came back to life and adjusted itself to the correct time within moments of getting exposed to light.
Hi @@ratskis_world953, at the 2:45 mark, you’ll see the 12, 3, 9 and a marker at the 6 o’clock are also lumed along with the hands. Thanks for your comment.
If you turn the watch, you'll see that there are spring bars on each side of the watch. You simply pry the bar with a small screw driver and the bracelet will pop off. You can then re-attach the spring bars and add your NATO-Like (or Zulu) strap. An 18 mm strap should do the trick. Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
