More than 10 years with this watch, travels with me all the time, under the water, above the clouds, in the mud and sand, still works perfectly, solar power backup battery still running after all these time. The top cover was so beat up, all the writings were gone so I bought a replacement in a clear version, now it feels like a total different watch. Got a few scratch on the lens, but I polished it out. I agree, the digital display is way too small.
Hey Tim. Thanks for checking it out. You pretty much nailed it. It’s an older design so any improvements would be in the form of a totally new design. Still a decent outdoor beater watch (which is what I used it for). Can’t beat the price (I paid$21.95), but I’ll invest in a better watch for more money if I want.
You absolutely nailed it! I think this one is as you described....when you need a reliable watch and don't care what abuse it collects....this is the one. I'm hanging onto it though....the solar is a feature I really like and I think I can overlook the digital display for now.
I ordered one for my son in law, it is the black model- and after watching this video, I decided to purchase the green unit for myself- thanks for the informative video !
I suspect that right hand display doubles as the charge indicator. I quite like it. Its a rough and ready watch for people who want solar and take bumps here and there. The display is a bit small like you mentioned. Have a good one Tim!
I might be getting tired of this case design. Seems like there are quite a few in this 'neighborhood' of case design. I love the solar...thats a huge plus in my book. I might even overlook the display. I'm hanging onto this one a bit longer.
@@Realidealgear I think you are right. It is very generic. That round shape is found in quite a few Casio's. It might just be because of the large size as well. I find that when im outside and busy in the hot sun I dont like things that are too big on my wrist.
Enjoy your reviews very much! Keep up the good work and keep the content coming! May I ask what is the name of the song that plays during your intro? It's very unique!
My White one was delivered from the USA to the U.K. yesterday my wife had a surprise when she opened the box and the hands started to going out a round I At tell her you have just woken it up from sleep mode. It was showing half charge so it been near the window all day after seeing it up I have plenty of other watches to pick from until I put it on I just bought because I wanted something In white for a change

Thats an impressive list of experiences. Goes to show you don't need a G-Shock to have a durable Casio watch!

@@Realidealgear I’m surprised you’re keeping it, but glad you are. It grew on me.

Agreed...and the strap is wider. In hot weather I prefer bracelets. They seem to feel cooler on the wrist.

Excellent point.
Great review! that helped me a lot. thank you
You're welcome. Have a great weekend.
Great job
Thank you.
I just got one, it looks big on most wrists, but finally a watch that's pretty proportional on my 8-1/4 in. Wrist.
Congrats!

It's a solid watch. Lots of features and the solar is a big plus in my book. Enjoy!
I have it in black. I'd prefer to have a second hand but it is what it is. It does what it's supposed to do but I do agree the window is too small.
Thanks for commenting. Have a great week.
