My professor in university was strongly against writing notes on lectures and while reading books. He said it's better to focus on the content while you are doing that. And write down what you remembered afterwards. It's better because when you write you kind of think through it more intensely and comprehend the material better. Definitely proved more instrumental in my life & education.

I just bought this book too after watching Jonathan's recommendation. This was a great intro. Can't wait to start it! I'd love to see more of your book reviews!

Well, first of all, no one normally thinks you're stupid cause u'r saying "um". There are a lot of people who are shy in front of an audience but they are incredibly smart and have extremely interesting ideas totally worth to share. Avoiding um-s is more like a high-fidelity prototype: good too have but sometimes not necessary. I've seen a hell lot of your videos, never paid attention to um-s, didn't even know they're there. Second, thanks for sharing!

I used to have an issue saying um. My mentor / boss helped me overcome this is my 20s by charging me $1 every time I said it. The first day I paid him $120, lol. Thankfully it helped me to overcome that in a week. Only after 20 years am I starting to say um again

Awesome, I might consider this book. Looking forward hear more reviews! :D I have just started doing book notes recently as well, and to take it to the next level inspired by Jim Rhon, we (Me and my wife) have started building our own library with personal notes/articles/write ups/tips, it's like our own little wiki.

Haha, way to go Ran. Kuz u make videos so often u made me wanna make videos so I did. I literally just posted a video. Ok so this comment has nothing to do with the book. But thanks for inspiring me to make more videos. Mind u, it's not a very good video lol, but it's a start

We won't count the "umms" in this video against you ;)
