Thanks for suffering through the hellhole of ksp2 planes only for our entertainment I tried it myself even the wheels are glitching into an angle you earn a sub
Congrats for landing on Minmus by night using the Sea level altimeter! :D Pro-tip: left-click on it to display the Ground level altimeter, in case you didn't know or forgot.
Yeah I completely forgot to change it back to ground after getting into orbit lol. Also I tend to not use it for landing past like 100m anyway, just incase it doesn't really understand where the bottom of my craft is (destroyed my engine more than once like that lol)
I think the large ton missions are for the basebuilding update i think youre going to be able to send high ton crafts to a planet and then use the resources to make a base
Ahh that makes a ton of sense! I think I'm still gonna go for it though once we get whiplash ramjets and the aerospikes unlocked as I think it'll be wayyy easier than trying to do it with panthers and swivels. "Lil Chonker" is now the white whale of the series LOL
I spent so much time trying to send a 200t rocket there just for the fun of it since it's not paying well at the moment. I'm half-way through Tier 2 Science like you and currently trying to send this payload in 3-4 launches (around 80-90t for each part), then combine them in LKO before sending all of it on Minmus.
This bothered me SO much you have no idea, I record my voiceovers in a little second set up in my basement, better acoustics, and my fiancée doesn't have to hear me yapping about SSTOs at 3am from down there. The first 3-4 episodes (like a month) this was going off constantly and no matter how much I searched I never came across it, wasn't on a wall or ceiling and the chirp was loud but nearly impossible to pin point where it was. I finally got fed up and started going through everything stowed way and finally found the old thing buried in the farthest reaches of the basement. Still no idea where it even came from. Kudos to you for tracking all the chirps down, there's probably even more in the episodes before this as well lol
I may try using it again like in ep 3, for getting to Jool when we get there or for a manned mission to Moho eventually. But probably not for Duna since it's WAY overkill, we would get there VERY fast though if I managed to line it up correctly lol. Also thanks! I'll probably go into a little more detail in the future on how I do each mission for whoever needs it :D
i also did a plane for the kapy rock mission and I don't know if it's actually required, but I took the mission brief seriously and used the Mk II lander can as the command pod for the plane. boy was that a janky heap. that giant SSTO must have a crazy glide ratio at bingo fuel, to still be airborne while nosing up at 30 m/s. I've heard that scaling the size of the wings up makes them more durable - have you found that to be the case?
That plane at the end actually has a Mk II lander can as a cockpit coincidentally. If that worked for you then I might just land the whole thing there, rather than the sketchy rover on the wing! Yeah! That absolutely shocked me, I was fully expecting it to drop out of the air at around 60m/s. If I can work out the upper atmosphere control issues it'll land beautifully at the KSC. As for the durability the size seems to definitely help, especially the thickness. I've not properly tested this yet though just picked up from playing around with giant planes for awhile so I could very well be mistaken.

There are so many small creators like this producing content on par with the big ones. Keep going, please!
yes i agree

Call me crazy but I'm getting so used KSP2 it that it doesn't seem that broken to me anymore, the more complex missions ahead may "fix" that LOL
I started the series with ksp2 so I’m also very used but everyday I play one ksp2 feels worse

Seriously, these need to be longer! Love it, need more!
Thanks! I'll definitely need to start making some longer ones for the more complex missions ahead!
You know? I was looking for the next part of this series in my subscriptions, unsubbed from someone, reloaded the page and here you are lol
lol now that's some good timing!
The ritual to summon smooney
W series 🔥
Should be asleep but I’d rather watch this first
I’ve had the reentry heating set to 50% cause I heard about the reentry heat now I can relax

@@smooneychad im also sure the reason its for minimus is because of its lo gravity and low atmosphere
That minus was trip was a trip
Nice Video! Just got it from the recommendations
Awesome! Thanks for watching :D
2:50 bro you have low smoke detector batteries
Edit 4:41 too
And 7:18

here before this gets *famous*
2:50 7:18 and 8:12 smoke alarm battery low moment (you can hear it in the background if you focus real hard)
are you gonna try to use the mun hole? if you do part 6 is going to be pretty cool but just watching you get to duna would be plenty fun .
i also love the videos they have taught me more about orbital nachnic even if its not a totorial

Bro the front fell off. In all seriousness, another goddamn fantastic video, and I'm not even sure if you noticed the IFT-2 reference you made lol
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!! That image of S25's front flying by itself is burnt into my brain lol
