@@smooneychadmaybe if theres some way to "activate" the arch, it will open up and at a specific time, it will give you the perfect accelerated trajectory towards a dark hidden planet or wormhole, or just another planet with another arch, until maybe you somehow find an arch on Jool or Eve, and it sends you to another solar system, Proxima Kentauri maybe hehehe
Just FYI, to complete the "Strange Signal on the Mun" mission, you have to actually touch the arch. Edit: or the rocks near the base - they're also part of the object.

I don't know if you've ever done this in ksp1 but if your orbit passes through the centre of a planet and you're far enough away to time warp unrestricted, the vessel will bypass collision and accelerate to light speed after passing the core. I have some debris at the edge of the solar system because I time warped while controlling another craft and it glitched through the ground.
Very excited to try doing some fly back boosters in KSP 1 with a new mod I found that will allow me to fly them back and recover them while continuing the mission!

Thank you!! I always try to cut to the chase with my videos as much as possible, few have the time to watch someone crash prototypes for an hour (though I do wish I were one of those few lol) And you guessed it pretty much spot on, I actually grew up in western Virginia and the surrounding area!
You nailed it, lots of youtubers try to drag it out needlessly to make a longer video, and its obvious after about 2 minutes. I usually end up blocking those channels so they dont waste my time in the future ;)@@smooneychad
My guess would be it's related to drag, a lot of random parts cause immense amounts of drag in KSP 2, in my last video the tiny surface attached science jr. jr. stopped my SSTO from going past mach 1. But if you make it as dragless as possible the wheesely's are kinda OP in KSP 2 (Not so much in the original game). I can put the craft file for this launcher up in my discord if you'd like to check it out, the top speed empty is about 620 m/s! :D
@@smooneychadThat exactly was it, just removed M-Beam 200 Pocket edition, replaced that with empty fuel tanks that has way-larger crosssection, immediately shot up to 600m/s. To think having 3 Tiny beams and 7 Wheesleys getting 300m/s, while even larger crosssectional mess with 5 engine do 600m/s... idk, that's very kerbal-like! idk why I unconsciously believed KSP2 has FARc-ish better aero physics. Hope to see that as mod very soon!
From the what I can figure out online it's a specific glitch related to Iris Xe integrated graphics ( because I'm a madman running this on a laptop) messes with the terrain in a lot of other ways too, the mun hole glitch may prove useful though, given I can aim it in the right direction!
@TlalocTemporal 64gb of ram for the IGPU to borrow for vram, before I upgraded it was completely unplayable and would crash on startup. Still my best fps is usually no more than 10-11 (does get more like 30fps in interplanetary space though)

No you don't, just get in the research zone called "Monument", this does however only happen when landed, even just near it, pike 10-20m next to it
I didnt touch it, i landed relatively close from the base of one side of the arch.
the munhole reminds me of when people went through the Mohole at launch
You could probably use the new moonhole to go interstellar with low tech or low deltaV

Kinda wondering how you get 550m/s with 5 of wheesely - Made launcher plane similar to your's yet it never go beyond 380m/s
