Bruce Joseph Forsyth-Johnson was born February 22nd 1928 in Edmonton N London.
He made his television debut at the age of 11 on The BBC Talent show"Come and be Televised" which started his professional performing career. His act was singing, dancing and playing the accordion and was known as "Boy Bruce, The Mighty Atom".
He caught the attention of the public from the late 1950s as host of "Sunday Night at the London Palladium". From there his star had risen "The Generation Game" "Play Your Cards Right" "You Bet" and of course "Strictly Come Dancing" made him the household name he became.
He died 18th August 2017
