I seriously respect Castellaneta for voicing Genie in so many different IP’s. For an actor to inhabit a role, that is so quintessentially connected to an originating actor is intimidating and thankless. But damn if this man does not give his all. Robin Williams is THE Genie in my mind, but Castelleneta is a wonderful Genie in his own right. From Cartoons to Kingdom Hearts this man was here to bring his magic.

My college theatre professor used to work on a stage show with him in Chicago. During rehearsals for our production of Godspell one of my cast mates was talking about The Simpson’s and he (our director) mentioned that he knew him. Of course we thought that was really cool, so he took out his phone and called him up! He had him do the Homer voice over the phone. It was pretty neat!
Not only was in EJ3D, but it was also in the cartoon, as well as Clay Fighter 63 1/3. Personally I think he's the definitive voice for Jim since it fits the crazy and unpredictable nature of the universe of Earthworm Jim.

when it came too Genie, he didn't match the voice but he had the intensity and power Robin had put into Genie before. So he gets an A+ for that
