They were riding the lightning on that one. This is a deep song. Definitely one of my favorites. For Whom The Bell Tolls is a great track off that album too. ❤️
When I was riding with a friend, he just got a new system in his car. He wasn't into this kind of music but I told him just give it a chance. I played this song. Halfway into it, he had the volume cranked up to 80 & I could see he was holding back tears. When it was over he kept rubbing his eyes & I had goosebumps on my arms still. I got to hear most of the song at over 1,200 watts full range lol. He got hyped af to hear more, I let him have the album.
You're lucky! I would love to hear it that loudly! Nobody around me would allow that to happen. 😔 but that is profound that their music moved him like that. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wrote lyrics to this song in a notebook in high-school. Forgot in classroom and next day had to talk to the counselor because they thought I wrote it as a poem and was suicidal. But in their defense my father had just passed away a month or so before I wrote it down.
Such a beautiful song with such sad lyrics. Classical music with distorted guitars is how my grandma described it when I was s kid, when this came out. Haha. she was pretty close to right. Of course then she said turn it down, she was cool but still old. Miss you grandma.
Since you the S&M squad, it is almost necessary for you to react to something from Metallica's S&M concerts *Symphony and Metallica* It makes their music even more epic when played with a full orchestra. The Outlaw Torn, No Leaf Clover, Hero of the Day - hell any of them.
Some may think this is a song about giving up but it's quite the contrary. This is a song about no matter how tough life is. It's about you... you being the only one to find inner strength to never... NEVER GIVE UP & TO KEEP FIGHTING FOR LIFE IN THIS 🌎!
This song was an anthem for a lot of teenagers during the 80s , when discussing mental health and depression was shunned. This song saved my life years ago as a teenager when I was considering suicide. It gave me an outlet for my emotions.
I was listening to this song when i got a call that my brother died .now my favorite song that celebrates life and memories because they can fade if you don't
Yall want to see the impact Metallica has on the world? React to creeping death live in Moscow and witness what 1.6 million Russian people think of them
Yes Metallica creeping death live in Moscow is amazing, they gotta check it out. I’ve seen Metallica twice and the shows were monstrous but nothing like live in Moscow. 😎🤘🤘
My good friend was killed by a lightning strike. 16 years old incredible guitarist This was his favorite band. WPLR played this for us on the way to the cemetery our favorite song song.

Been a Metallica fan sense I first herd them back in 1986 when I was 7 years old. This is still my favorite song. It's helped me get through some really hard times.
James the singer wrote this song after their equipment was stolen when they were around 20. What hurt him the most was the marshal amp that his mother got him before she passed away and that’s what put him into a deep depression
10:10 You'll find that the deeper you dig into Metallica the more they become your favorite band. I'm not just talking about their song library - I'm talking about their history, their dynamics, their attitude, their perseverance, etc. They ARE the best band. Period.
And the nicest. I have met every living member. I was the chunky rocker girl and had plenty of "rock stars" be complete @ssholes to me (I'll spare naming them). James has a fantastic sense of humor, as did Jason. Lars however, there aren't enough words to describe how kind he was. He went out of his way to make a beautiful memory for me. I will be a fan for life❤
Metallica is arguably the best and best selling metal band of all time. I have been listening to them for 25 years and they still sell out any venue they do world wide.
My Top 5 Metallica songs to play on drums, Fade To Black, Master Of Puppets, Through The Never (which has zero reactions on YT), Welcome Home (Sanitarium), and Fight Fire With Fire, even though that last one always left me me sucking air and my legs feeling like they're about to detach from my torso. Ad Infinitum - I Am The Storm.
The song was written after their gear was stolen from a truck in 1983 while on tour, including a Marshall amp James got from his Mom before she died, one of their finest songs !

Fun fact. When they did this masterpiece of a song they were 21/22y olds. Kids barely out of their teens.
It's ironic you say it felt like lightning all through your body because this song is off of their 1984 album Ride the Lightning
Wow thank you so much for informing me of the title! Now I know the feel I had was the feeling they had for the album🎸🔥
She's that was a ride and he said he felt electrocuted lol! Ride it!
