    Hi, I was wondering how you duplicated that template folder...trying to do the same thing for our business. Thank you!

      @bruce.vanzyl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Tyler... if you're in your browser you can right click and "create a copy" of the template folder. Alternatively, I use Google File Stream on my mac (works for PC too). And you can just duplicate it in your own local desktop and it will sync it to the cloud after. This is how I typically duplicate the project quickly.

    Can I store my ecommerce vendor product images to Google drive? Is there any data transfer cost involved for the images stored in Google drive? I mean let say 10k images access every hour, so data consumption for Google will be huge for the account. Do they charge for data consumption as well for access?

    Thanks for the video. Im curious, I have 15 staff based in 3 different countries and I was wondering what plan I should use for Google Drive? Im a bit confused on how this works. You say you can share all your company files with your staff but do you need to pay for each user?

      Hey Steve. Happy to assist if I can. I would use the business plan ~ $12/person. It is pricey, but you get a LOT of value. It will handle email / files / calendars / docs and everything in one place. If you'd like I can help out on a short call with this link here. coaching.inovo.io/coaching-1hour

    Hi bruce we started a small company so we were just using the regular google account and we are wanting to go to G suite now that the buisness is growing is there a way to transfer all the documents from one google drive to the other ?

    • @bruce.vanzyl
      @bruce.vanzyl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. I'm not actually sure of a quick way to transfer from one to the other. There is a way to setup a shared drive and invite users access to that from the other google accounts. You could drag and drop files from a My Drive to a Shared Drive potentially. The only way I have done this in the past is to download all files to my computer and then upload to new shared drive.

    Hi Bruce, thanks for the upload! I was wondering why it’s beneficial to use Google drive file stream instead of working through browser? I downloaded that app and found my computer acting slower and drive experienced connectivity issues, so I removed it from my Mac. I would like to have the same workflow as you as it makes total sense - especially for client management purposes.

      Hey Evan! Thanks for the comment. Yea, I typically use the File Stream app on my computer about 75% of the time and then the browser the other 25%. Certain functions perform better on your computer, some are better on the browser. I'm not sure about the slowness, but it can take a while for your computer to "index" the files but after that it should be minimal CPU usage.

    Hi Bruce,
    If our Cloud storage is 18.5TB and our iMacs have 1GB internal drives, how does the Cloud Stream App cope?
    Also, is this not all dependant on number of users and the offices broadband capacity?
    Thanks :-)

    • @bruce.vanzyl
      @bruce.vanzyl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Google drive is pretty smart. It essentially pulls down the files you need in the moment. After you don’t use them it removes those files from Cache.
      We have about 20 to 25 TB of data, I know one terabyte Mac mini.

    • @bruce.vanzyl
      @bruce.vanzyl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, didn’t see the other part of your question. I believe you have to have five or 10 users to get unlimited storage

    thank you for this video! I'm curious if employees use file stream will they then have hard copies that are editable on their computers that can be uploaded again to the drive, or is this only available to use for the admin? Is it possible to set up the folders so employees and/or contractors can have access to the folder to contribute, but not download, and is there anyway to ensure after they leave the company that they do not have access to the folders or the content?

    • @bruce.vanzyl
      @bruce.vanzyl  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Employees can use filestream same as admins. It's actually been renamed to "Google Drive" if you're searching for it. It only downloads the files it sees are necessary so if you go to open a document it will download and then open... after saving it will upload back to the cloud and remove the local copy.
