Best recent music that I have heard in a decade or more. I have listened to two albums so far, not a single skipped track! That is so VERY rare in todays music world.

I recommend MV of MANNERS. It's beautiful. Kanami, who composed the song, said she made various sound effects in Manners, but the trumpet-like sound may be Kanami's guitar.
Agreed. The MV for Manners is beautiful. I think it's a really important track for the band - it shows their ability to make whatever the heck they want, and kinda tells their story in a way,.
Obi-Wan Kanami composed a classic song with Manners and Miku's lyrics are very inspiring. The MV is superb too. Black Hole is just a 220 BPM sonic attack!
To me, they are the perfect blend of ability with artistry. I've heard some technically great musicians that bore me, and I've heard cool artistically different stuff that can't be played life. They can do both! I agree with some others to check out the MV for Manners too. It's a great video. If you can find it, I'd suggest some of the instrument only videos the have done as well.

_Band-Maid_ are the Saviours of Rock, which was dying a slow and agonising death (exaggerated, yes, but not all that much). These "girls" are so awesome, at this point I will not be surprised to see any of them walk on water.
_Manners_ is a true master piece, sounding deceptively simple at first, but it is such a cleverly crafted song, perfectly executed by these lovely top-notch musicians.
I really hope I get to see the maids performing at River Plate, the culmination of every rock band's aspirations, in front of 80,000 berserk Argentinians one day. They really deserve that, and so do the Argentinian fans, who have been rock-crazy for decades.

The word you were looking for was this song has a serious Bluesy groove to it.,and it's Misa's Favorite (Bass). And the vocals were absolutely kiiller, Manners is one of my Fav's.
Black Hole is really impressive. I mean, the song is perhaps not the kind of thing most people would listen to casually 🙃 but the fact they even *could* nail it live... Man. That is impressive. I think Saikis manic expressions during the song tells how challenging it is :D
What can't they nail live??? Lol. I have a better chance of nailing 4 different beautiful women at the same time later today then Band Maid ever not being absolutely fucking disgusting when they play live.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。One of seven wonders of Band-Maid is Misa's bass playing. It clearly stands out but never disturbs the song Saiki and Miku are singing. On the contrary, I feel sometimes as if I see a 7-foot / 500-pound big 3rd singer with beautiful baritone voice singing behind the front women. Akane's powerful drumming is the next wonder.
As a big fan of BABYMETAL and a newbie fan of Band-Maid, I really want to see the 2 BMs on the same stage in near future. (There was such possibility in Knotfest Japan 2020, which was cancelled due to COVID 😢).
I'm suprises that you didn't go to the last Summer Sonic. 2019. I did. Started the day with Maximum The Hormone. Could have started with Lovebites but it was so hot I decided to conserve my energy. Walked around and spot checked the other stages. Saw Band-Maid. Including the sound check. Went to the bathroom to change my shirt. Then walked right next door. 30 minutes and BABYMETAL. Headbanger. Saw Moa with the smoke gun and tears were pouring down my face.

I fell into Foxhole in July 2019 when I came across Glastonbury videos and into Pigeonhole in November 2020 when I inadvertently clicked an official live MV of Freedom. Before such accidental discoveries, I, an stubborn old Japanese over 60-year-old and rigid fan of old funk / jazz since 1970s had firmly believed that the bands with girls were just gimmick. Yeah! You are entitled to call me an idiot. I have been calling myself an idiot since summer in 2019. The first time I witnessed BM was on Jan. 25, 2020 at Makuhari and was looking forward to B-M's first Budokan concert which was ultimately cancelled due to COVID. Last year I was lucky enough to see 9 concerts out of 10 BM Budokan and enjoyed B-M's acoustic online performance. Now I feel it is not fair that B-M announced US tour without any information about schedule in Japan. I have not witnessed B-M at the venue yet. You went to Summer Sonic 2019. So you experienced B-M's happy 9-song setlist started with Screaming and ended with Domination. Then you witnessed BM with Riho, my most favorite Avenger. I can't think of any word but "jealous".
@@flugelhornoldman1362 I also feel like an idiot. Searching for a concert to see I saw the name and logo for BABYMETAL I thought- well that doesn't sound good. And didn't even bother to look them up. 4 months later I discovered them on youtube. The 4th song- Karate download, is the one that got me. It's also the one where I recognized the logo and realized my mistake. I could have seen my Oshi YUI twice. At least I saw her once. I saw Riho 3 times. Momoko once. Never Kano who was my favorite because of SG. I stopped whith MM after Reina Tanaka. I have Riho's Daybreak CD and listen often. A couple songs have some jazz influence. "Ai Kago Meets Jazz" is at the top of my BOOK:OFF list. That's the girl gimmick your talking about. But I like it. I don't know why Kawaii Jazz never caught on. Did Japan have funk groups?
I bought a Band-Maid Bodokan ticket. Most disappointing. But I am going to 4 US shows. And maybe they'll add Chicago. I was also surprised about them not opening at home. With all the English reactions during Covid they've built quit an overseas following. With a big international tour they will get a lot of media coverage in Japan and can return for a victorious Japan tour to end the season. If they do Budokan, I'm coming and your in charge of the after party.
@@jefffromchicago6321 Good morning from Japan. Oh! So both of us are good examples of "better late than never" 😄 I did not know my retired life would become so colorful thanks to BM and B-M. Although your better is much earlier than my better, I actually saw Kano's performance on Day-1 of LMG including all-star RoR : Su, Moa, 3 Avengers and 2 Kamis. 💛 (After the show, my wife told me that I had been shouting "No Way!" 100 times like an idiot at 5 girls on stag🤣)
I am looking forward to B-M's show in their homeland, because Japanese government announced on March 9 that the limit of audience would be completely lifted soon. My friend in San Diego is now happy with tickets for B-M show in his city and another one in LA held on Misa's birthday.

Great blues rock to speed rock, and during the same performance! "Black Hole" is the next to last song, and still these amazing ladies have this much energy and stamina! Keep the Band-Maid coming!

2 amazing songs and great performances- but I really think manners should be done on the MV. Its much better imo. Please listen to it yourself at least :)
