- Hey, beautiful soul! We hope you enjoy this video of me spinning yarn in the park. We were hoping it would be soothing and comforting to you! If you haven't tried spinning wool into yarn, I highly recommend it.
It's meditative, calming and a great stress-reliever!
I use a Lendrum saxony 28" double treadle cherry spinning wheel, stained walnut. I love it with my whole heart and it's made the journey from Arkansas to Alaska to North Carolina with me.

I can see how people get addicted to spinning. Even just watching this, the rest of the world fell away for a moment. I literally forgot about all the stress that's been on my shoulders lately while watching. I can only imagine how peaceful it is to lose yourself in creating yarn. Thank you for a few minutes of serenity in summer. I'd be interested in learning how to spin linen yarn someday.

There were tears running down my face.. I think the only regret I will really have in life is that I didn't try all the crafts I wanted to try. Some of it was money, time... fear of failure, even space in our old house. Now I am a widow I find the only time I truly feel comfortable and at peace, true comfort, just not numbness, is when I do my crafts, crochet, knitting, sewing, weaving.. any craft brings me comfort and peace. Even writing helps..
I am sure without crafts, I would have died of grief, already. Thank you for this video! Lovely work!

This video was just what I needed. I was feeling a bit down, especially not being able to get out in nature due to being stuck at home, sick with Covid. I was searching for a little escape, and this was so perfect. So meditative, and a lovely reminder of all the little things that make life so wonderful. ❤️

I love how slow this video is as well as how beautiful. I started spinning a couple days ago and I’m having such trouble keeping it consistent and also figuring out the right amount. I’m either over spinning which happens a lot or under spinning which only happens rare lol
It just takes a bit of time to get the feel for your wheel's "personality." Keep going!

OK I think I figured out my problem. I’m trying to have too much control over the yarn and holding it very tightly. So I’m gonna try to give control to the wheel and trust in that to do the rest lol
