    Honestly, I just want to buy this fiber so that I can do a fractal like this and then knit it in a fair isle yolk sweater with a charcoal grey.

    my fave thing about that spinner is that the jumbo bobbins are standard. it is almost magic how much they can hold. i packed two bobbins with singles and ended up with enough 2-ply yarn for a whole sweater. editing to add... that finished yarn is GORGEOUS! you are seriously tempting me to do a fractal spin, but i have to get through a couple fleeces worth of fiber first.

    Your hair looks awesome btw. I mean the yarn is incredible too, but also your hair. I'm a knitter and love watching you spin and create yarn, because it's such a mystery to me. However, the knitter inside me is like I NEED TO SEE IT AS A FABRIC. This feels like the biggest cliffhanger because the yarn looks so so good, but what sort of fabric will it make???

      I have a lot of physical issues especially in my knee, hips, lower back, and neck. Spring time is usually pretty painful as the weather changes. This way I can keep spinning! I'm not quitting my spindles or treadle wheels. I'm just growing the flock. 😊🐑💜🧶

  • @ABCrafty
    @ABCrafty 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is perfect timing as I was just thinking about how to make a stripey yarn without having to spin super thin to chain ply since it needs to be fingering weight. So the idea is to just spin two singles and do a 2 ply? How would you recommend going about it for hand spinning since I don't have bobbins from which I could ply?

    • @JillianEve
      @JillianEve  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Before I got more bobbins, I would wind the yarn onto paper towel tubes. You could also use a ball winder. 😊💜🧶
