- Hey, dear friend. I hope you're having a scrumptious day! I have an absolute show-stopping, knitted shawl pattern to show off today - Crystal Roads! In this video, I show you how to read a chart for a triangle shawl, and I demonstrate a few rows of the Tranquility section. This pattern is suitable for the Advanced knitter.

Crystal Roads uses our Sincere Sock yarn. Sincere Sock is a delightfully soft, sweet, and pleasant fingering weight yarn that is made from 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon. The sample shown in this video used approximately 1,180 yards (1,079 m) total and was knitted with our Blue Crystal Hues Kit:

I have to say that your channel helped me in so many different levels. With your messages, short or long, it helps me get back to looking into myself and try to find the tranquility and focus. Also after not being able to have time to knit or crochet for almost 3 years because I went back to school, discovering your channel inspired me to go back to one of the things I love to do, knit and crochet.
This pattern will be challenging as it’s been more than 20 years that I don’t knit something so detailed, but I will make it.
When I used a chart in the past I used stitch markers to indicate front, center and borders, and also sticky notes on the chart to indicate colors and where I stopped. Thought this tip could help someone.
I’d like to add my admiration to the video maker/editor. Always perfect in lighting, focus, angles and the way you added the chart below… it was a genius touch.
I can always feel the love and dedication in all of your videos, and I know that my life and many other people’s lives are better because of you!

And here I sit, unable to knit even a simple square potholder. This is absolutely gorgeous!!! I crochet like there's no tomorrow (and I'm actually quite good) and have tried so many times to knit. No matter how hard I try to follow the dozens of "beginner/learn to knit" tutorial videos, mine just always come out looking like a mess.

The intro was so beautiful. I can relate, though my despair was closer to my early 20’s. I started to crochet, my grandmother finally taught me how to knit last year before she passed. I feel closer to her every time I pick up my crafts.

Great tutorial and visuals following the chart. Also how vulnerable and honest you were at the beginning 😍. PS my 2 yarns for the latest pattern for the 2tone summer top has arrived (in the UK). I am not as comfortable with knitting to consider it calming 😔 looking at the level of the work, I felt... stressed? But, it is gorgeous. Listening to you and your story, that was calming. I don't think I'm ready for this.
