Metal Gear Solid 3 helps you realize that at one point every time there's a cutscene your character gets his ass kicked. Then you have to watch this lady (aka the boss) kick his ass repeatedly every single time they come in contact until the very end of the game when they finally give you control and then guess what you don't get to beat her up you have to shoot her..... At any rate I found the volgin boss to be the funnest out of them all.
Wait a second.12:35 volgin basically tells snake to put away his gun and knife. Yet he's the guy who can use electricity to shoot bullets. I get the knife, but the gun?
He knows that his electricity can ignite bullets, and causes even the ones inside a gun to explode, but he wanted to enjoy fighting Snake, so he asks him to put it away lest he gets killed too early or unable to fight by accident You can learn all this through the radio(codec)
Honestly first play though this fight was a pain in the ass with electricity attacks no guns and every time you used CQC he blocked but then on a second play though you learn the CQC throw down and then you master the boss fight turning it into a pretty fun matchup that is refreshing from the guns and teaches you how to use CQC to your advantage

But their appearance in MGS3 which takes places in 1964 is because Volgin used the Legacy to produce them much earlier. It's also implied Volgin killed his father in order to Obtain the Legacy as Kojima originally intended to have a extra scene playing while Volgin is Info dumping to snake where it shows him killing his old man.
It's really strange to see Ocelot acting like a cocky brat in this game and then be the main voice of reason in mgsv. It's also funny how the guy who shot off Snake's eye ended up being his closest ally and made it possible for him to attain his final objective. After playing the entire series, I can't say for sure who the real villain was... Except Huey, fuck that guy.
