Really impressed that it wasn't badly damaged. Love the videos and the philosophy of trying to repair stuff rather than junking it. One of the reasons I'm trying to learn is so I could fix of some of my stuff to see if I can get it working again. Soldering sucks though haha. I feel ill never get any where decent at that.
Got same system, i cleaned the sensors, mode switch and it still spits tape cassette out, leaves the tape inside, and the drum doesn't spin when i put tape in.
I have the same machine. After 10 seconds, VHS player shuts down. DVD player not reading disc and shows error. I was going to scrap it. How much would it cost to repair? I live in the Midwest?
