Yeah he's been at it forever. Years ago he was the only chess channel on that was worth watching for me. So grateful for all the new youtube chess channels and streamers that follow chess. It makes the game so much more enjoyable!

Biggest drawback of the eval bar is it doesnt show margin of error. It can tell you that the game is completely lost when it isnt, because the opponent is not stockfish. The ONE slight mistake that lost Magnus his advantage was ridiculous to try to spot. Because Magnus is human stockfish, usually when I watch recap vids and see the bar in his favor,I know the bar is telling the truth 9 times out of 10. But this is just insane. What a game by Andrew
I am insanely jealous of MC's chess intuition. He can glance at an in-progress game and immediately know if any available sacrifices will pay off. I don't mean close-to-checkmate situations. He has the power to make the right call on, like, move 5. I never know when a sacrifice is long-term "worth it" because I'll be in a better posiiton to win 11 moves later, after the dust settles. If I'm down a pawn, it's because I did something stupid. You know when that short guy in the Matrix (the one who cut a deal with "the machines" to get blue-pilled back into the simulation as a rich guy in exchange for helping those octopus/spider robot things kill every single Matrix escapee-- can't remember the character's name) says he's so well versed in the machine programming language that he can see a blond, red head (gross), or brunette when he looks at a screen full of (non-Roman) text? That's, like, what Magnus can do with chess positions. Am I saying that Magnus sold out the human race and returned to our world with a better-than-stockfish engine embedded directly in his brain? No. Of course not. To be 100% clear: I am NOT making that accusation. I don't have any evidence. I'm just saying that I'm not NOT saying that. There's a difference.
