I have a jailbroken iPhone 6s and a rooted s7 edge with a custom rom.
Both are excellent phones and both have pros and cons.
I still can't decide which one I'm going to keep cause they're both so damn good.
then again you can't do any of these things on S7

I'm the only one at my job with a Samsung (S5) and I'm soooo glad I never switched to Apple like they all did. My pictures are 10x better quality, viewing files, features and so much easier. I can't wait to get an S7 Edge to watch video and see pictures on that beautiful screen! :D Great video, I'll be watching it a few times to get all the details.

I miss fast charging, widgets, downloading files straight to my phone and miss the versatility of android (just to name a few). I hate these huge bezels and it feels a lot larger than it needs to be. Oh and I absolutely hate the speaker and how easy it is to cover.
+Remy Basi hahaha having the same problem here. Tired of Apple, can't even download a freekin emulator into it without jailbreaking or screwing around with the software. Plus, iOS lets you be in control of absolutely nothing.

This is showing up on my TH-cam feed in 2023 lol. Ah, sweet nostalgia. Funny how times only get worse, not better. But I digress, I had the S7 Edge in Platinum Gold and loved it. Samsung has slowly phased out gold from its flagship lineups for some reason. "Pink gold" doesn't count.

this video was a big help I got the S 7 edge as a replacement phone for my lost note edge through my warranty and I'm still finding out all the bells and whistles on it

I am getting ready to switch from my note 7 to the s7 edge.. so depressed. I love the note 7. I've had 3 different note phones and the 7 was the best. But for ease of transition and for the amazing camera in the s7 edge..I have to go to that one. I looked at the LG V20 and I'm just too leary of it. Display is too cool.. and the camera is not as good. That decided it for me.

I have an iPhone 6S Plus now and honestly I'm not so sure about apple anymore. iOS is nice but it hasn't really changed much. Every update its the same old song and dance. Not to mention... the phone itself has really stayed the same. The curved glass has me considering switching to the S7 Edge. Does anyone know if it's smaller in comparison to the 6S Plus?
They're both 5.5 inches. There's also the note 7 out now. Check it out. It's like the s7 edge but it also comes with stylus and iris recognition. Meaning it can unlock with your eyes and font worry, a picture won't work lol since it uses IR which also means it works in the night. It has a 5.7 inch screen.
the phone itself is small but the screen is big.
I tend to steer well clear of ALL Apple products - especially iPHones. I find them unreliable and always breaking down. I have been with Android now for a few years and would not change now. Android is far more reliable and you can do far more things with it. I have both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Yusuf Rasad I tried it at the Sprint store today, and I experienced 0 palm rejection. Granted I didn't type anything, I just swiped up and down the screen and stuff, but it definitely is responsive.
I'm finding that when I text portrait mode the side edge is unresponsive when I push send. I have to turn the phone landscape. It's for that reason I'm going to swing by the ATM today and have them fix this problem because it's making me crazy.
That's weird... But easily fixed with custom keyboards in the Play Store, most likely. :)

I do I have both and hate the edge. still lags. it's samsung. screen is so sensitive. battery life could be better. typing sucks. fingerprint magnet. most apps don't support fingerprint touch. edge panel is a gimmick. screen is amazing that's about it. sorry buttercup. now go play.

I'm not so much a gamer as I am liking the VR part...the 3D and the experience of the technology...I'd like to see more urban explorations, roller coasters, climbing, etc. Do you know how I can access them? I'm not really liking the samsung browser in the system, and I've seen where other sites are available, but, I'm having trouble getting them...seems most of the sites are limited to the Samsung...I see there are lots of 3D experiences on TH-cam, but, if I try to go to the youtube site, I see the same as I would if I had pulled it up on the computer screen...meaning, I see 2 screens in the Gear VR...?? Can you help me out with that?
+wd harvey umm I think all you have do is when in the TH-cam app is activate Google cardboard to get the two screens for vr I may be wrong but I thinkthat's what your asking

The only reason I want the edge is because it has bigger screen than the normal s7
so except for the extra 0.4" in size , you get a lot of fancy unecessary features....?

i dont know, im considering the two, the bigger screen sure is positive, so is the bigger battery, but after watching this video, the features are just meh, maybe because im pretty sure i can find and download any of these features if i want, so i dont think the 0.4" size and 500mah extra battery life is actually worth the extra money...
Tech OH yeah you can install the s7 edge Rom on the s7. it doesn't work as well though. The edge is a novelty but it makes for a big screen that's in a small form factor device and it just looks great.
