I would like to challenge you with a disappearing basket block. That could be fun!

Wow! A Disappearing Basket! A quick peek shows that there are a few different versions of this block. Some of the baskets are quite complicated. Interested in knowing which version you were thinking about.

Thanks sounds great. Some of the baskets had bunches of HST's either around the edge or filling the basket. A simple basket only might be interesting. I will definitely check it out.

You are so sweet. It is a lot of trial and error. I start with a block, cut it up then spend a lot of time trying every different possible combination and sometime a beautiful design like this will pop up.

On one of your videos, you asked if we wanted you to do a series of the Grecian block and do separate videos. How about doing a series but broken up so you don't get bored. I would be bored. LOL that is why I have so many ufo's. I am fascinated by your creative quilting!
Thanks, that's a great idea. I've done two Disappearing Grecian Square quilts so far and will probably do another one in the future.

I love the amazing results you get from playing with blocks. Makes it sooooo much fun! I also like seeing new ways. One thing I saw, when you made those bar blocks, I thought you could sew along two parallel outer sides, rather than the centre, and cut along the centre where you drew the line. Then open up for two bar blocks. Or sew two long strips together and subcut. I hope this makes sense.

I really appreciate the color variations you present with your patterns. This looks like a fun scrap buster, especially since it is based on one of my favorite blocks.
I am so happy to know that you like this. It is a great use of the scraps. The Churn-Dash block was first published in the early 1800's. It is fun to think that this block has been popular for 200 years. Now we have a new use for it.

I love the idea of disappearing blocks, but I would love to see more scrappy (very) blocks. I just became involved with my Guild's Community Service group and getting members to make a block is sometimes difficult. But everyone has light, medium, and dark scraps!

Hi Brita. I am so glad you are recovering from your shoulder injury. I am finally feeling glad that I did my ankle surgery in June. It has been a long haul but like you, I am getting better each day. This is a great pattern. I love the scrappy version.
