- How to film a fitness commercial with BMPCC 6k | Behind the scenes
Today we have a behind the scene video for you guys but this time we are having a real social media commercial for our client. Our client is Babel, a fitness center and we’re going to create a 15 secs commercial video for them!
Apart from that this is our first attempt using Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, BMPCC 6k, for a real job so please let us know what you think about the result.

Great work! I was wondering if you can tell me how and what you are using to power the 6k with the Sony NPF battery? (Cables, mount, etc?)

very cool. If you walk to the models..how you manage the focus? pulling or high aparture and set it on manual?
Thanks! We determine the focus for the end frame and set the focus manually, then with a few tries, we ensure to hit that end focus point when walking towards the models.

Thank you so much!!! It's not a definite yes or no because they're from different segments and each has its own unique capabilities. However this is definitely something in our pipeline to compare, so stay tuned!
What is the ad music name
okay question. your first shot was on the gimbal with the BM6k. but there is no autofocus on the Blackmagics, so I don't understand how did it keep its focus from coming from 20 feet away to 5 feet away??

However, the video (I watched it. very good tips) didn't address the 3 dancing girls that you used the gimbal from about 15' all the way up to 5'. what did you do to keep focus on that particular shot? (I'm assuming just using a wide lens kept the focus)? because I didn't see you use a follow focus... just hold and walk with the gimbal. :) thanks!

how can you balance that BMPCC 6k on Ronin S ? I 've tried so many time
It’s not easy to balance but you can kind of balance it if you are using a lighter lens or setup 👍🏻

Hi there! I hope it’s okay for us to explain in English as we are not familiar with the professional terms in Mandarin. First we determine the end focus point, get the manual focus right and follow through with the shot, it takes a few takes but we did not adjust focus while filming.
How did you keep focus so well manually?

1) keep the focus distance
2) set your focus point at the end frame 👍🏻

How did you manage to focus while using a gimbal?
Hi Eric, here's how we do it, similar to operating any manual focus while filming:
1) Set your focus beforehand between your subject and camera, make sure your end point is consistent ie. have talent stand in the same spot or if you're the one moving, always pace yourself consistently so the focus wouldn't be off.
2) I'm not using a focus puller or focus controller so I pull focus with my unoccupied hand, but this has to be done a few times to get the shot tact sharp.
It takes practice, do try it out and let us know if it works!
How do you manage your focus while bmpcc is on gimbal sensei??
Since this video was shot entirely without any wireless focus puller so we’re kind restricted ourselves but let me share you some of the tips
1) keep the focus distance
2) use higher aperture
3) pull focus using another hand ( but it’s not advisable because it’s pretty hard to grab your gimbal with one arm)

How were you focusing on the Ronin?
There’s 2 way of us doing this
1) keep the focal distance
2) rack focus manually with another hand
Alternative method
1) get a wireless follow focus system
2) or get a camera with autofocus 👍🏻😉
@@PlaybyPause I have the 6k also but hate racking focus on the ronin with it. I’ve tried with the wireless focus also but can never get it balanced right
