Interacting the way you do with people... success guaranteed !!! Thanks to your patience and ways to approach with kindness and fun, they quickly understand doing what you want will not ask them any effort, and it's all for the "stars of the day". No matter the pressure, you manage to stay in your flow, and that really is a lesson for all to see. During my years as a sports photographer, I remember those moments when you have to stay in a no-matter-what state of mind. The only time I failed was when my pilot managed to miss the right turn to the finish line and crashed the motorcycle to the asphalt. Still today I can recall how heavy the thing was, and how worry was I for my gear and my images. Aside from this very "special" moment, I never lost my temper. And this is what I see in your way of working, but also the way you manage your team. All your guys adjust to your pace, it's a sign... they all get it your way, they all move toward the same goal just like bees. Great work, great BTS (kudos to your backstage guy, he nailed it !), great educational content. Merci du Sud de la France. ✋🙂

I've watched this video so many times because I love your setup so much. I live in an area where getting a second shooter is nearly impossible. If I can pull off great setups like this, it'll bloom into something new for us. Also as a sound guy, I ultimately appreciate the hard work you've put into your sound setup, especially timecode. I also agree with some of the comments that people will want this type of wedding video in the future, and you are the creator. More behind the scenes, please.

@@JustinPorterMedia you’re welcome! For me I’d say more on the audio side of things and your gimbal set up would be cool to learn more on since I’m trying to find a gimbal rig that works for smooth shots. Also maybe a video on your editing thought process or game plan from filming to editing!
@@thejamalmartin oh got you. I can definitely do that in the next one. I plan to do an editing breakdown of the Jillian and Gabriel’s film. I did a lot of sound design and mixing that could be helpful.

Do you need to resync the transmitters / receivers when they get out of range? For example when you are all driving from the morning prep to the ceremony?
This is awesome and super helpful! Thank you for making these videos! What picture profile do you use? Like SLOG, LOG, Cine, etc... I'm pretty sure these are Sony terms, but I guess the closest you can get to what a picture profile would be on a Blackmagic camera. Thanks!
Then again, he's doing it to tell the story as efficiently as possible. You really do need a lot of gear for his style. Not everyone has to do this though, it's just a personal choice to get to a certain level of quality and professionalism.

The AVX’s actually run on 1.9ghz. It’s much more reliable at a wedding but like all transmissions, there’s always risk in dropouts. This was actually one of the last weddings we used the AVX with. We now use Deity recorders. Much more reliable since they record internal
Bro, my wife says that you and I are long lost brothers because we act the same exact way lol!!!! Question… what’s the piece you’re using to hold the v mount on top of the 6k pro?
This was the doc wedding I was doing. I wanted 2 in the bridal suite and 2 in the groom suite as well as have creative angles for the ceremony and toasts. I ran 4 until cocktail hour, then 3 for the toasts and first dances then just me and second for the party.
This is film set or wedding? My vision of shooting wedding is be like a ghost... It's not about video but about moment of couple. This is really weird. Cool setup but too overkill. But maybe it's works in your country.

This was very insightful and it’s helping me a lot with what to do filming my own wedding day videos to improve! Appreciate you for this and keep it up💪🏽🔥
Thanks so much man! Definitely glad it helps. Is there anything specific you wished I’d show more of or include?
@@JustinPorterMedia you’re welcome! For me I’d say more on the audio side of things and your gimbal set up would be cool to learn more on since I’m trying to find a gimbal rig that works for smooth shots.
Also maybe a video on your editing thought process or game plan from filming to editing!
@@thejamalmartin oh got you. I can definitely do that in the next one. I plan to do an editing breakdown of the Jillian and Gabriel’s film. I did a lot of sound design and mixing that could be helpful.
Was great working on this with you!
Definitely couldn’t have made it happen without you bro. Thanks so much. 🔥
True professional! Great video! Just wanted to know the name of the vest and can you use that with a gimbal?
Thanks so much. The vest is the easyrig minimax stabil light. Yes, you can use it with a gimbal. I’m making a video about my bmpcc4k gimbal setup soon
And i was thinking that i carry too much gear with my Sony a7sIII and two lenses :). Our whole country don't have so much equipment. All kidding aside , nice video and insight in other colleges work :)
I truly appreciate that haha. It’s a lot. I can’t wait to release this film. It’ll all make sense then lol
Recently shot a wedding with the URSA G1 4.6K, I wish tf I had that backpack rig I’m still in pain from that shoot.
Ooo shoot yea you need an easyrig haha. Game changer
Do you need to resync the transmitters / receivers when they get out of range? For example when you are all driving from the morning prep to the ceremony?
Nope. They automatically reconnect when in range again. 🙌🏾
This is awesome and super helpful! Thank you for making these videos! What picture profile do you use? Like SLOG, LOG, Cine, etc... I'm pretty sure these are Sony terms, but I guess the closest you can get to what a picture profile would be on a Blackmagic camera. Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching. Glad you found it valuable. So i film I’m b raw which I guess would be close to s log on Sony.
@@JustinPorterMedia Thanks man! Keep up the awesome work!
The photographer be like " This guy shooting a wedding or a movie "
All these cameras and setups seem overkill for a wedding. I can't imagine carrying all that load all day for a wedding.
Then again, he's doing it to tell the story as efficiently as possible. You really do need a lot of gear for his style. Not everyone has to do this though, it's just a personal choice to get to a certain level of quality and professionalism.
Yea it can be overkill for some but it looks like he has tougher days in the gym lol wedding cinematographers should train to handle the wedding days.
@@ElijahGarciaFishing Absolutely! I can't tell you how many weddings when I get to the open dancing and my back is done! And I'm still really young too
@@LearningCurveTech yea that’s the time when you feel it. I’ve been lifting weights now to help my performance in the field.
@@ElijahGarciaFishing same, especially core, but everything else is important too, depending on the camera rig
The BTS itself is a movie 😀, You inspire me bro🙌
Haha that means so much. I seriously appreciate the support! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@JustinPorterMedia You are the support bro, please keep creating, am Learning a lot from you. Two weeks ago i covered my first wedding if you get sometime i will appreciate if you check out the trailer th-cam.com/video/QlZN_kPzUVQ/w-d-xo.html and give some advise. Am currently using Canon 250D 😂. I try to use your style in all my video and people are loving them😀, here in Kenya all wedding videographers Edit their videos the old same way.
I dont ask this often but with this set up how much does he charge? it has to be a crazy amount
where can i watch the Output Sir? Love to see the film :) anyway great job sir
I am going to be uploading it very soon :)
Thanks so much. Can’t wait to share it
@@JustinPorterMedia I would love to see the outpost.
Amazing job.
Justin your outfit is 🔥 I will find a shirt and style like yours 💪 it looks cool and also confortable for shooting
Oh without a doubt. I wear Bylt Basics Pant 2.0 and Executive Polo. Amazing clothes, super stretchy and breathable, lightweight, and they legit never fade. I’ve had pants for over a year and they are still pure black
@@JustinPorterMedia 🙏🙏🙏
I finished watching the video and my back was killing me just looking at them with all that weight on your backs, cheers!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 best comment 🔥🔥
Thanks so much brother. Go grab a heating pad for your back 😂😂
I can’t imagine how many batteries you guys gotta charge before a shoot
How often do the AVX's pickup interference? I hear the 2.4GHz band is very crowded.
😂😂😂😂 this energy be too much sometimes haha. It’s just a SMALLRIG v mount plate
Love it man!
Thank you so much!
The wedding film crew is very well
The best
Namaste I like your style of directing. good work
Great job and investment, for others this this overkill gear for a wedding
Wow, seen less kit on a Netflix shoot 😆
It is just so cool to watch you work behind the scenes 🤩🔥
Haha it’s crazy to watch back myself because I never noticed Mitch filming me 😂
Im definitely putting a mic on you #ImDone 🤣
What made you have 4 shooters instead of your normal 2 this time?
This was the doc wedding I was doing. I wanted 2 in the bridal suite and 2 in the groom suite as well as have creative angles for the ceremony and toasts. I ran 4 until cocktail hour, then 3 for the toasts and first dances then just me and second for the party.
This is film set or wedding? My vision of shooting wedding is be like a ghost... It's not about video but about moment of couple. This is really weird. Cool setup but too overkill. But maybe it's works in your country.
Different styles for different filmmakers/clients. Have you seen his final videos? Absolutely next level
