      My take away is - I think a simpleton like myself has the potential of creating better movie clips.... by being creative and ingenious.... using lighting.... clips and music from artlist. My take away was that I realized how the wet floors and fog change the entire scene quality, and the safety you guys are used to shoot the car drift part, and mostly the liquid texture effects you guys made with a large glass water tank were really awesome! , thanks a ton for this whole process video, please make more tutorial videos like this, by the way, your sound design tutorial was a real gem for me thanks for that as well.

      @@artlist_io Honestly I would like to dwelve more into the billing part. I still can't get my head around those 50Ks though. Now I do see all the hard work behind it and yes it is of very very good and high quality but this is just my taste and my opinion which is not an attack or anything, but I didn't like the commercial one bit. Like I said.... It's just a personal taste.

    • @artlist_io
      @artlist_io  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Leprutz Maybe we will make a detailed budgeting video in the future. Do you feel like 50K is too much for the end product or is it too cheap?

    • @Leprutz
      @Leprutz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@artlist_io I don't know. I would say too cheap. Like I know commercials that don't look that good as yours and they cost about a million. So I would deffinitely say way too cheap. But it also depends what kind of people have been hired. What was the directors dayly fee? DoP, Catering, Stunt team plus their equipment (don't forget saying of how many people the stunt crew alone consisted) Insurance, thransport, catering, rental equipment, water tank plus suspension, led light for bowling, securite screen while stunt car scene, the whole stunt team with car rent, camera with dolly.. and the 50 people on the second day shoot, all the art props, the CGI work, editors pay, rent for editing room. How much did or the company make out of it or was it just spendind those 50K... the Director was hired or was he part of your team, which also might reduce costs. I mean. thinking about it... the commercial looks very very very good, for that low budget.

    For me the nicest of the video was surely the details that made a huge difference to me. Like the people dressed in black to move the objects, the phone flash to create a light effect, adding water to the set (the guy levitating, the reflection on the floor while the girl walks). Because this can be used in big or small and independent productions.

    Only takeaway worth mentioning is that Artlist is officially the best music service... Hands down 😎
    But in all seriousness, it's that ability to achieve an artist vision through non conventional means that makes a commercial such as this a masterpiece. To fully encapsulate the feeling and atmosphere of the reference photos for the night time editor, you used the ingenious technique of placing a water trough beneath your lighting rig to add a very unique texture and vibe to the overall image. This, along with several other golden nuggets just shows that creativity and improvisation is critical in any creative environment/job, especially filmmaking! Cheers 🍻

      @@artlist_io I switched to y'alls platform last week so I haven't crank anything out yet, but your music library already has my mouth watering! I just filmed a commercial shoot today and have a sweet tune picked out. I'll send yall a link when I get it finished! Thanks for being so cool guys. 😎

    My takeaway is the level of pre-production that goes into a shoot of this scale.
    I get carried away with wanting to capture a shot idea that's in my head, and forget how good an animatic or storyboard can be when working on larger projects. The treatment was also awesome to see, especially how close the inspiration was to the end product. Great vid 🎬

    My take away was the first scene that you guys gave depth by adding the lights and the water. I Also liked, the bowling scene, really gave a lot of quality when you guys set up all the lighting to show depth too. The liquid texture effects done when the guy is flowing, love it! Really, I'm take away by the whole commercial! It was fantastic to see how everything coming to live, all the details made the diference and the team work had an astonishing achievement. Loved the music and Sound Design, perfect! Thanks for sharing such great content!

    amazing video !! my takeaway was how to create that stunning floating-water shot by suspending a tank of water above the actor, and beaming a light down through it - a gorgeous effect !

    i don't know why I've never thought about it, but it seems so simple by having a led light walking with the talent to keep a constant light on them to enhance the scene is so genius that's what I learned

    The one thing i learned the most was about the lightning especially the ones that you programmed and the scene in the old country house here the person is floating in the air with the light hitting through the water. Love that!

    Really thank you for this video. It's always very interesting to see how the work is on big productions. I had many take away, maybe the most interesting for me was the dreaming mood done with water in a basket, I will try this technic soon! Congratulations for your work!

    My takeaway was part where you discussed using a treatment. Although I'm still in the beginning stages of my filmmaking school and career, I now feel confident that by creating and utilizing treatments, this will allow me to show conceptual ideas to potential clients and begin obtaining work early on.

    This was excellent. My main takeaway was how much can be done with so little. Most lighting seemed to be astera tubes and a flex light. Excellent results.

    Wow, incredible.
    My huge takeaway - lighting plays as important role as the actor or talent in the scene, if not more. Just with proper lighting, we can transform the dull set into something completely out of the world.
