So I’ve got a 98 328i m52b28 with s52 cams, trays, ect. Fully rebuilt vanos, and had the head cleaned and prepping for a bullet proof OEM plus build. Fuller tuned, headers, and just finished replacing condor doors shop bushings, and camber arms non m z3 steering rack, and so much more. I think this would be a perfect mod for the car. Is this something a freshly built e36 sedan track ready that’s non turbo, would be the cherry on top? What main areas would need to be focused on in the tune, I’m running clutch fan delete and Stuart water pump, short headers, y pipe and vibrant s52 exhaust waiting to go on after alignment.
these videos are such an insperation to start my own build for the longest time ive wanted to torbo my 328i m54tub28 e46 but with these videos im finally building upp the knolege and courrage to actually do it! Great videos and the explaining you do is very clear on how you do it. thank you man, from the whole ccar comunity
you should keep it stock with upgrades to the existing parts. then save money and buy a straight line car. you dont need anymore power if youre driving this car where its suppose to be driven (curved roads) plus itll last a life time stock with minor intermittent maintenance where as a turbo will immediately make it a money pit.
Hey I absolutely love your videos but I would absolutely love it if you could do a turbo build on an e39, it’s definitely an untapped market and a very un documented to an extent thing I’m sure this wouldn’t happen soon if you did decide to but that would be awesome to see
I know you run the turbo compressor pipe right above the subframe, but can you clock the turbo to run the pipes right above the engine mount closer to the engine bay wall?
besides providing a benefit, what is the actual technical difference with the b58 vs m54 coils? could someone explain me or point me to a source of information? Do they have a bigger capacitor or something?
What throttle body are you running with that intake manifold and what mods as far as tune did you have to do to run it with that intake mani? I have a 2001 330i 4dr and really want to upgrade the intake manifold but stay drive by wire. Still new to the bmw m54 scene.
Had poly then switched to 034Motorsport's rubber mounts , best of both worlds . Very slight vibration through the steering wheel only at idle but nothing like poly

Yes. But its definitely harder. Check out Spankranch e39 turbo setup. I ran my charge pipe above the subframe and i definitely recommend it

Not a upgrade. They are dumb coils (b58) they will never make as much spark energy

I use stock yes. This car was meant to stay comfortable lol
