The owner probably felt like if he entered some alternate reality where grip levels and cornering speeds are doubled, you can see he had a ton of fun, great video!
While Misha is saying "Your phone...".
Casually flat out 😂 here’s your phone mate 👌
whenever you sit passenger it always feels faster and scarier, the owner can drive this car full out on this track also, its not much power at all and a beginners car for the track
@@Icepressa Yep, I agree, being a passenger feels completely different, everything seems way faster, but still its good that the owner enjoyed the lap, that's the most important part. Cheers!
7 years ago I bought mine 330i in mint condition from first owner. Best car decision I"ve ever made! The perfect mix of everything for me. Power, fuel consumtpion, maintenance, sportiness, practicability, looks and overall driving feel. Love it to the grave.
Worst decision I made was selling mine.. its the one that got away
I agree with what you say apart from fuel consumption 😂😂😂😂
@@deanplant1500 I just made a trip from Germany to Austria, mostly unrestricted Autobahn for the German part, so between 170-220km/h and got exactly 8.4l per 100km. The austrian part was of course very fuel saving, but only for like 120km. The rest was in Germany and around 380km. Not all of them unrestricted, but for the most part. I was amazed.
@@spartacus2954 that’s amazing mpg I would be concerned your car is running lean ?? I couldn’t get that out of mine down hill with wind behind me lol . Yours is about 28mpg if I’m correct?
@@deanplant1500 Yes about 28 us mpg. Board computer even showed 7.8l, but I know there is a deviation of 0.6l, because I always measure it on the gas station. Bare in mind the Austrian part of the trip was very economical because of the speed limit (50-60mph) and it wasnt a highway. So there I got around 7.2l or 39mpg and that tipped the scale.
What a great example of everything in balance being enough. A hot lap with no issues to report at the end. Not even brake fade. That has to be commended 👏
late 90's early 2000's BMW individual cars are absolute peak BMW they are so nicely done, timeless cars
this one is a perfect example
such a beautiful car
Cool to see again a E46. I also own one. Mine is a tuned and a little bit weight reduced (- 82 kg) BMW 330D (E46, Diesel, 235 hp and 560 Nm / original from factory: 184 hp and 390 Nm).
I am the second own since a few years. My father was the first own from 2001. I am still very happy with this car. Good quality, good to drive, everything works fine, enough power with a manual transmission,...... I have no bad words for my car !!!
Best regards Chris
I have two 330i's as well. I feel like changing to a more free flowing full exhaust (with headers) really makes the world of difference. Also renovating Vanos.
@@henrik1743 Nice to here, that you still own two E46. For me my E46 has more value than a new BMW.
I wish you a lot of success with the exhaust and everything.
I still try to weight reduced my 330D (E46) a little bit more. Right now my car weights 82 kg less with everything.
Now I am waiting for my ordered (full carbon) interior filter box (again about 2 kg less compared to the stock one)
@@chrisflorian4308 thats a nice car I have the same one! Mines 244hp and 563nm as of now with only a turbo upgrade and a remap!
Fun fact! I dynod it after 20 years complete stock and it was 183.5hp and 431nm. So it was never under 400nm probably :D
@@-jozsef8275 This is nice to hear. I never had my 330D (E46) in stock condition on the dynamometer. I have upgraded my original turbo with a stage 1 package. Nothing special and still the same turbo size only a little bit optimized + a bigger Wagner LLK (with some fixes this LLK also fits on my pre-facelift) + I cut out my front bumper below the license plate (better air supply to the LLK) + AGR-off-kit + a remap on the dynamometer + 82 kg less. Now Motul MoCool (500 ml) in my coolant + I refuel my car with Shell V Power Diesel + Race Gas Diesel with ethanol (500 ml) every tank filling. With this whole setup I didn't dyno my car yet 🤔
@@chrisflorian4308 sounds nice! Where did you take the weight from ? 82kg sounds way too specific like did you break up with your gf/bf or what ? 😅
I can easily agree that a 330i can be as much fun as an E46 M3 in many ways, i have both an E46 M3 and a 330i Msport manual touring which has 246k miles. And i love both. But have to admit i sometimes prefer the 330i. Maybe its because its the one i daily drive. But its a great car. 12 years ive owned it now. And it still brings a smile.
Went from a 330 to an M3, loved the 330, but nothing beats that aggressive vanos of the M3. The noise and power delivery is addictive! It just gets so much more respect on the road, still a head turner.
@@JDCALDECOTT The S54 is SO different to the M54. Not even in the same league
@@nvl2691 it really is! People always think 330s with a supercharger are the same and it’s just not. S54 all the way!
You can't go wrong with an e46, especially a manual tranny, I have owned mine since 2013 and it's a 320i manual tranny, it's super reliable, I just got the e90 330i manual tranny too and while I love that, nothing is ever taking away the adoration I have for my e46.
9:53 Coolest moment
"Your phone?" 😂😂
jokes lol
A car like this 330Ci E46 is exactly what is missing in the current BMW model range. Today you have to get a M model to get driving pleasure, but there is nothing fun to drive left below the M models anymore.
240i ? 340i ?
@@imnota I would have counted them as M models (M240i, M340i).
@@philipp-rt8mt
They're as much of an M as this M-sport e46 in the video is an M, it's a package, not an actual full fledge M car.
M235 m240 zero fun without lsd
@@imnota Think they only come with an auto.
I do miss my 330Ci. Every day I regret selling it. Great handling, great steering, a bit low power but still enaught. Simple, failure free, easy to repair and maintain... in black sapphire metalic, with full m-pack, creamy leather. It was perfect dailydriver. For 9 years it never let me down. I made mistake.
I know the feeling, had a Hellrot E46 sedan with brown interior and ZSP package. Sold it for peanuts when i needed the money and will always regret it.
Sucks you sold yours man. I've still got my 330ci black sapphire metallic stalled and waiting to be restored for track purposes.
I know the feeling too, miss my black sapphire metallic 330Ci Manual =(
Yeah man you did new owner is loving that BMW now
@@SC4RFAC327what year was yours bc I got a 99 328i e46 sedan hell rot
Can't go wrong with the E46. Great looks, great chassis, great motor.
What an amazing specced E46, a real gem 😮💨🥵
Yeah amazing color
Thanks for your recorded conversation with the owner about the suspension of a E46, Misha. BILSTEIN B16 !!!
This maybe could also been the right choice for my BMW 330D (E46)
E46 6 cilinder, one of the best roadcars ever, like the sedan, touring coupe and cabrio.
This gave me even more inspiration to build up and keep upgrading my e46 330ci to track build. 👍
I had a 330 manual in the early 2000. Springs. Intake. Exhaust. Clutch and many more mods. Then i shipped it to lebanon.. they were the best driving years of my life with it there.
I just put new 255 square tires on my 330ci and it has now has more grip than I am willing to test 😂 even in the wet no tire spin and throwing it into corners it is unphased.
I will need to take it on track to find the limit, but it is still fun for daily driving.
My e46 is sitting on 235/40/18 square set up, rub sometimes but it's added sheer beauty and aggression to it
As a 330ci owner it made my day to see this 🔥
not enough non-m3 e46 content on youtube they are so good for the price
Sold mine 10 years ago. Brings back memories. Always made me feel happy
9:54 the moment when u have 1sec till nex corner comes up, and misha is thinking bout answering work emails real quick. Classic misha
12:19 yes.
As a 2001 330CI owner (single owner) this makes me smile. I just rehaul the entire suspension and brake, and it drives well again. 18k miles.
what a nice tourer… 2004 330ci convertible here… excellent video!
The E46 330 is a masterpiece, such a nice car to drive. I still remember how nice they felt when they were new! However one thing that buggs me is that you cant pull down the rear windows in the Coupe while in the Cabrio it is possible...
I own an E46 325ci. It's not as fast, but it's super fun to drive!
I always love the videos of more sporty road cars which aren't heavily modified or sport versions like the M. The sense of speed is just different even from watching the videos.
I also love how the consumption meter is always beyond the scale. Remembering of how the 320 I had driven a couple times sucked fuel, I bet you can watch the fuel needle move when pushing that much on the ring.
Natural engine sound.. music to the ears from all newer cars with fake! Great lap and fun to se the owner enyoy it alot!
I keep dreaming of a 340i that would be a 4 litre version making about 300 horsepower and 280 lb.ft. torque in an e46 / M54 with a short shift 6 speed and firmer suspension. A dream.
330ci ZHP is my daily driver and I drive it every where except off-road. 245k miles now, replaced with Koni Active(FSD replacement). Low maintenance and reliable. Next stop is 500k miles.
The owner was baffled. Absolutely mind blasted.
@Misha Charoudin I bought 7 months ago an BMW E46 320 Ci (coupé not cabriolet), of 2002
2.2, M54B22, it's a great engine already.....the sound, the feeling drive it's one of the best thing than anyone could try, because I think than today, the E46 it's a little bit underrated
I avoid the 2.0 with 150 hp, because it's slow, to incoming, the 2.2 it's perfect, mostly if you go to see how much costs the 325, 328 and 330
I miss mine 😭 selling it for an e90 was the worst mistake I ever made
Why? What do you think about the e90
This guy was ordering a new Bilstein suspension before misha was even done making the recommendation. I love it. What a great car. Good job with it man!
These cars can be very difficult to heel toe when you're not at almost full brake force, it is a testament to Misha's driving skills that he was able to figure it out in one lap. I on the other hand, have been driving manual for 2 months and every time I try to heel toe with little braking force I end up stabbing the brake pedal lol. The only times I've been able to successfully do it is at nearly full braking force which on the street is a little bit sketchy to say the least. I digress, your skills never cease to impress me Misha!
You just use the call of your foot not the heal.. really not that difficult but I know what your saying if your not used to it
Love the e46 man, got one looking for 2nd one ^_^
Purple is the best color on E36 / e46 change my mind
I replace everything thats scratched.. pans over to a horribly curbed wheel.
Edit he did say later they were his track tires. I just thought the timing was funny.
I saw that lol
Could be a set of track wheels though
@@cslloverhe did say that later in the run. I edited to show.
Misha has finally taken my car's spec on the Nurburgring! I don't have the heart to get rid of my 330Ci. I'm the second owner, originally belonging to our family's doctor, and it's been my daily driver for over 7 years. It's a true luxury sport sedan. I could never sell it in good conscience.
I love the ideology of the owner which is basically turning a fantastic car into its most possible factory like condition - like most of us folks would probably love to drive a stock, almost as it left a factory today, M3 or M5 cars just as the engineers and dev teams have intended to do, another stock-like mod an owner wants to probably do to an BMW car is to uh, to take the consumption needle and rip it out of the gauge and toss it as far as possible from the car and uh, make some blessings to your wallet...
Factory 25 year old cars.. mehh..
I have a E46 330ci and intend to make it nothing like it came stock.. 🤣
Love the vids. Been waiting for a 330ci to appear on the channel
I've owned the US version 4 door loved the car was a fantastic car to own
I rather enjoyed the owner's comments and questions.
E46 330s and e82 128s are the perfect low 200hp cars for daily/track use
I had a 330ci for my first car. It was such a good car, but as a high-school kid I never really appreciated it. Always yearned for more power.
I can understand the owner, even from the video it looks scary fast at corners, especially Misha breaking late makes it even scarier lol
During this drive the m54 probably burned 2 litres of oil lol
There are m54 who are burning no oil, you just have to fix it... also, 2L => oil light on, over 1L it goes on.
Looking into finding a 330cic zhp as my first young adult enthusiast car, of course I find a 330ci misha Nurburgring video to push me over the edge
Props and respect to the owner for putting in so much work to keep that thing PRESTINE!
4:46 The amount of sadness i feel when this happens... and it happens a lot and always on the best parts 😵💫
Mine are auto’s. A 323ci & 330ci. The plastics are always knackered but cost a fortune to replace from bmw. That was excellent as usual
Great car in the best colour. I have a Mora Metallic E39 and this would be really nice next to it. Impressive driving again.
Gracias a este vídeo compre un 330ci e46 , no es un m3 pero cuesta muchísimo menos 🥰
Such a nice car and drive. The owner was visibly impressed!
I’ve got a mint 330ci club sport with fairly low miles that hasn’t a squeak or rattle or leak of any sort i would love to take round the ring but maybe not like that 😂
I used to have a dinan 328ci in topaz blue. Still one of my favorite cars.
Not sure what was working harder , the economy gauge or the rev counter , another fantastic video Misha
“The tires do a lot” promise it’s the driver mod misha lmao
pick up one of these for half the price on the M3 and have just as much fun!
Wayyy less than half of m3. M3 are going 20,000+
@@startingtech3900 yeah, and i can find a clean example of one of these for about 8k
I also track drive an E46 330i, with rollcage, but imo the 230hp are quiet slow. An M3 engine swap would really wake it up!
I never owned one but I've driven a few different models of E36 and E46 when I was younger, absolutely amazing cars. When we were around 18 these cars sold for around 1500€ to 3000€ in Germany, to no surprise my generation absolutely destroyed them 😂 cheap car with lots of power, no money to actually maintain or repair it properly, no care for engine etc....
I now drive a 735i E38 and I love love love the quality of this car. Not as speedy as the E46 or E39 but still awesome feels. Loved to see someone drive this car so well.
That’s it I’m keeping mine
Great video. I owend a 2002 330ci msport. Got to say they dont feel fast, until you check the speedo lol they are deceptive.
My first car. I still have it after 10 years. Never gonna sell.
I had an e46 330, and now have e90 and e92 325i and 335i, and I did love the e46, but I feel the e9x is stiffer. The 330i and 325i are/were both stock, so back to back I'd say the e46 was softer, more prone to oversteer more than was quick (very fun), and also more than I could handle in public (very irresponsible). The e90, however is SO confidence inspiring I have never been sideways in it unless going slow and doing it on purpose. I think e90 N52 is super underrated, and I'm glad because I may get another one when mine finally kicks the bucket.
Great cars but Just wait until all 6 injectors go bad.
There is a difference, but not that huge if both are in good shape.
@@miras170884 one of the many reasons I love the N52 is that it has regular port injection. The 335i has been nice, but I won't be keeping it as long as the 325i.
@@TheTom7They are both great. I don't think you can really say one is better than the other. It's personal preference. I prefer e9x N52.
@@JDtimesten Yea, you are right, I can understand that.
i miss my e90 325i n52b25, amazing high rev engine! just lacks torque..so i am now dailying an 123D, reinforced all thats needed perfect!
Torque is such an amazing thing isn't it? Xd
My 330Ci with original M-Package doesn't have this wind whistling
If you've never replaced them I would suggest rear trailing arm bushings
What are the signs of bad ones? Like how will feel the change?
@@TheTom7 more directional stability under braking and cornering, less inertia/delay of the rear axle. Bad ones can cause swerving under braking or at high speed, uneven tire wear and in extreme cases knocking from the rear of the car.
@@fransb8543 thank youu!
Geen genade voor de oliepompmoer 😂😂 heerlijk
@Misha Charoudin so now that you have tried a 330i coupe, would you like to try a manual 330i wagon of the same generation? just to compare :D
i'm planning a full refresh of the car until the end of April, so hopefully it will be good enough to handle the ring with you behind the wheel!
M54 is very capable engine. Yes, it has only 231 hp and even if you install a supercharger, you'll be able to get 300+ hp at best, while S54 has 330+ hp in stock and being supercharged can output 500+ hp. But, M54 is cheap, pretty easy to service and most importantly - you can easily find a mechanic who knows how to work with it. The engine is very popular among amateur racers. Where I live, almost every drift car is E46 with M54, and they're abused like hell. If you don't overheat the engine - it can run for a very long time even in brutal conditions. And cherry on top of a cake - sound. 6 cylinders, individual throttle bodies, no turbos - true symphony. Also, 330 Ci is around 100 kg lighter then M3: ~1400 kg for 330 Ci and 1500 kg for M3, except M3 CLI which is ~1400 kg, if I remember correctly.
Honestly I would love to see a race between a supercharged 330i and a M3, because from what I know the supercharged ones get around 300HP, but almost 400nm of torque on the dyno while the M3 supposedly has 343HP but "only" has 365nm of torque, I'd imagine on the dyno It'd make less than that since it's an old car - could be a pretty close battle, I've seen G-power 330s run 10 seconds flat 100-200, which is pretty impressive for a supercharger kit that's like €4k.
It’s nice to see the bmw e46 is blowing up now I am a proud owner of my 99 hell rot red bmw 328i e46 Sedan with 198k miles on body and engine I’m on my 2 transmission with 100k somthing miles love my car don’t see many hell rot red 328i in the e46 idk if it’s a rare color for the car or what
Nice car, love the purple. Owner entered a state of pure engagement, fun to see.
My guy racing with one hand: "Your phone!" 😂😂
Loved my old 330ci, there not the most powerful but its the diff that makes it seem slower 2.93 diff gives such long gearing.
2.93 diff is the best option for that car. I have an 330Ci 6 speed manual swapped, left the 3.38 auto diff on the car. Worst decision ever, you have to constantly change gears, you can start in second wherever you want. And 6th gear is useles, 100kmh 2.5k rpm, same as with 2.93 diff in 5th gear….
And the car not faster by any means… much more negatives than positives
@mezenga4774 Nah think it's very much dependent on what your using the car for. Definitely quicker acceleration with the 3.38 diff though.
@@craigy87 very unnoticable. You cant feel much of the difference, and quarter mile is basically the same. 0-100 3.38 is slower than 2.93 because of the extra gear change
Really no benefit in that short diff, the difference is so unaignificant that its just a waste of time when you look at how many drawback it has on normal driving
@mezenga4774 guess it's just a personal preference then.
@@BrunoMezenga2408 no it is not, 0-100 is faster with 3.38 cause it still can reach 100kmh in second gear, with stock diff my car was like turtle after swaping the diff it felt like different car
Hi Misha! I’d love to see you drive an e91. I own one and would gladly give you mine but since I’m stationed in Sweden I’m not at the Nurburgring so often 😅

From latvia nice!
Nice video , looked like a Misha Ying/yang on the cockpit , liked the wind noise , and the car handling seems nice:D
The car always feels slow watching from that prespective until you see the speedometer :D
On the street feels much faster, than seen here and thinking about its need a supercharger
That is one nice e46, arguably one of my favorite gens.
would love to see You try my e46 328ci which has alpina exhaust and m54b30 engine parts putting 220hp reving up to 7k. Its car that i wont sell for sure, and i wonder if its faster than well saved stock 330ci
Thats best combination, my plan is to put B28 in my 320i, but itd hard to find healthy engine
These and Nissan Zs are good deals for track cars with a lot of potential. If you or your best near by enthusiast mechanic are good with BMW or Z pick that car and you are GTG.
Seems like a great car, but it feels really slow due to the long diff ratio. I have the same engine in E36 and 3.38 final, and it still feels very long. Used to have a diesel diff 2.56 or something like that, and it was kind of amazing how well the engine pulls.
What a lovely car, the e46 is a cracker,especially with a m54b30
Love the e46 Content Misha!
Dat was weer mooi om te zien.
Bilstein B16 rear shocks are very good!!! I only have them on rear and love the ride. Although I use them using it on softest setting. It's very great handling

Nice drive, nice car. It seems to run with thick oil like 10w-60 wich is for M3, that's why maybe is not revving as it should. But the owner should know better.
was the oil pump upgraded in this? because m54b30 is known to have a not-so-reliable oil pump due to harmonic vibration at around 6500rpm..
For a second Misha sounded like Klaus from American dad going over the interiors cleanliness.
Beautiful spec, man says not a nice spec. We would kill for that in USA
